@YogiRunner: thanks for making the list! So glad to hear your panorama results came back good! How long did it take you to hear back? I'm getting anxious waiting on mine now.
@iluvboba637: congrats on your girl!!

@Autumnmama79: I'm in the same boat as you. C-section with my first, now trying to decide if I'm going to have a VBAC or a repeat c-section. My doctor's office really encourages VBACs, which I found kind of surprising given the stories you hear of women whose OBs refuse to even try a VBAC.
I'm mostly considering going for it because thinking about recovering from abdominal surgery with a toddler and a newborn in the house overwhelms me. But I know what to expect with a repeat c-section, so I just don't know.
@Mamasig: Yes, I'm feeling worse too! I'm 10 weeks 4 days and this weekend was rough. My nausea has improved a little but the fatigue is so intense. I went to bed at 6 last night!

@YogiRunner: Not a huge deal, but I'm May 2nd now Thanks for doing the list!!

I am horrible at keeping up with these threads and haven't been on too much since I've been feeling not so great. It seems like the nausea is finally subsiding but the fatigue is insane still, although I wonder if it's because I'm already taking care of two little ones.
@YogiRunner: Thank you! That is super helpful!!!
@MrsPerrella: Welcome!
@fitfigure87: Welcome! I've already gained a bunch as well and I'm pretty slim normally. I think my body just needs some extra padding while pregnant and I'm trying not to fight it.
@Autumnmama79: @My Only Sunshine: Not that you asked, but my second was a VBAC and I'm a big fan so if you decide to go that route I can answer any questions…

@Baby Boy Mom: Thanks mama, I will likely have questions once we get closer to countdown!

@yogirunner: Thank you for making that list!
@Baby Boy Mom: Thanks for the response...it's a little reassuring knowing I'm not the only one! Trying not to freak out but it's tough

@TrailRunner: I wouldn't feel anxious, I googled it and it can take up to 2.5 weeks for results to come in. Mine came back after a week, but I don't think that's typical. Since I'm under 35 and didn't do any testing before this, I don't think insurance will cover it so I'm just waiting for the huge bill. BUT my OB told me to call panorama after insurance processes the claim and they'll lower the cost significantly, they're just trying to get out there more as a mainstream test I guess.

@YogiRunner: Thanks for making the list! On the next update, would you mind moving me to the 21st? (Big difference...a whole day! ) Thanks!

@YogiRunner: Thanks for doing the list! You can put me down as team green too please. Hopefully I can stick to it! Haha
I had a week or so reprieve from nausea and fatigue and now it's back with a vengeance. I am not as sick as I was for the first 4 weeks, but I definitely feel crappy.
How's everyone feeling?
clementine / 811 posts
@YogiRunner: Thanks! The doc moved me to the 30th
I'm not sure I even want to type this out, but I haven't been feeling nauseous for a few days. The fatigue is still there, but not as debilitating. Don't get me wrong, I'm still calling it a night by 9, but at least its not 8!
I'm hopefully having the QNatal (a different brand but same as MaterniT21) bloodwork next week and I think we're going to find out the sex this time! We did team green last time and it was amazing--stick with it ladies who are thinking of doing it! But we decided that we would see what it was like knowing before birth this time to have that experience. I think Crazy to think we'll know so soon!

@YogiRunner: Thank you for the list!
Im on my 11th week and my symptoms are all over the place! At night I am so sore, all the stretching going on inside of me is so exciting but I have moved to get up too quickly and have had pain on my sides that reminds me of a pulled groin! Is anyone else going through this?
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@MrsPerrella: I had those symptoms with my 1st. I had a lot of round ligament pain and just felt sore and like I was breaking in half.
clementine / 811 posts
@MrsPerrella: yes. Sometimes when I get up to quick. Its happened to me once or twice this time and I definitely remember it from last time.
I'm also waking up in the middle of the night and my arm is pins and needles, or my hips are sore. Its so hard to go back to sleep when that happens!

@HazelEyes: @Mamasig: Thank you ladies! This is our first and my DH has a mini heart attack whenever I show any sign of pain or discomfort. I have sore hips too, Ive started building pillow forts to find comfort
persimmon / 1129 posts
@MrsPerrella: I get those pains when I move too quickly too. It was actually much worse with my first than this one, probably because everything is already stretched out!
I had an appointment today and baby looks good! I'm 10 weeks 5 days and the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler. Gave me a heart attack. She brought in a portable ultrasound machine and all looks good!
I'm trying to decide when to tell people. My next appointment isn't until Nov. 24 when I'll be 14 weeks. My baby belly will definitely give me away before then. I had originally thought I would start telling after today's appointment, but I think I'm still going to wait until next week when I'm 12 weeks.
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@My Only Sunshine: That happened to me before too. It took a while to find the heartbeat. I cried happy tears when they found it. Doc says its normal at this stage
My next appointment is next week. I can't wait. It's so reassuring to hear the heartbeat. I'll get the materni 21 test too. I'm just curious of the cost. My insurance will cover it based on my age but I still have my 20% copayment. I also can't wait to find out boy or girl. I'm so impatient. This is my last baby and I just want to know!
kiwi / 554 posts
@MrsPerrella: I've noticed these pains too! Especially when I first get out of bed in the morning or if I roll over too quickly at night.
@My Only Sunshine: It's scary not to find the heartbeat! This happened to me at my appointment a few weeks ago and they didn't offer to do a follow-up ultrasound, so I had to wait another week before my NT scan to make sure everything was ok! It was nerve wracking for sure. Glad everything looks good though!!
cherry / 201 posts
@MrsPerrella: No pain at the moment, but you perfectly described the stretching feeling I've been trying to pinpoint for the last week! It doesn't hurt, but makes me constantly aware of my abdomen!

I feel like I'm the only one not getting the panorama test!! I'm AMA but still the healthcare here isn't covering it. It is $500 and I'd really rather use the $ towards a doula...
The testing that is covered is the 2 sets of bloodwork and the NT scan, but the final results aren't known until 20 weeks. Gah. I hope we haven't made a mistake in choosing to go with the free option.
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@Autumnmama79: @sslm: I didn't do any testing with both my boys. Honestly, I'm just doing it to find out the sex early. My husband and I already discussed that if someone were wrong with the baby, it wouldn't change anything for us. Still our baby no matter what. I think I'm just more impatient this time. So spend the money on what matters to you!
I got my 1st size comment today. I was checking out at Sephora and the sales lady tells me - "let me guess - January or February?" I smiled and she pointed to her belly. I just kind of smiled and told her -"no may. I just get big." I know she didn't mean any harm, but it still stings.

Someone at work asked when I was due today so I guess it must be pretty obvious!

@YogiRunner: Thanks for the list!
I have my NT scan on Thursday! Can't wait to see the baby. My nausea has finally started to get better. I was feeling pretty bad for awhile. Unfortunately food still sounds terrible. Nothing ever sounds good which makes meal planning so difficult. I am able to eat a lot of hard boiled eggs and oranges though!
So what does everyone guess they are having? I have a girl and a boy..and am guessing another girl due to my symptoms. With my son I felt fine and ate a ton! With my daughter I never wanted to eat and had no energy. My daughter really wants a sister and so she insists baby is a girl! ha! She, however, absolutely adores her little brother so I know she will be fine if baby is a boy. There is an almost 6 year age gap between my two so she is like a little mommy to him. It's sweet!

@Autumnmama79: It's a personal decision, you're making the right one for you! The results wouldn't change anything for us either. I made the decision because it's another thing I would worry about for the rest of the pregnancy. If the results came back differently nothing would change except being prepared to bring a special needs child into our home.

@Mamasig: @sslm: I'm telling work tomorrow for exactly this reason - I'm afraid the belly is about to give me away! I would love to wait until 12 weeks, but I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and I know it's not like there's something magic that happens at exactly 12 weeks.

@lov2teach: Good luck at your NT scan!
I've been having feelings from the beginning that it's a boy.... nothing in particular really, no dreams or anything, but it's just a feeling. After my NT scan last week one of my friends (who's an ultrasound tech) took a look at the pictures and said that judging by the "angle of the dangle" she thinks it's a boy too! We'll just have to see I guess

I hope everyone is doing well! Got my panorama results and everything looks great! And I'm having a BOY!!!

@TrailRunner: Awww, that's wonderful. My little guy is pretty awesome, boys are great

@Mamasig: @HazelEyes: thanks! I not so secretly wanted a boy, so I am thrilled! Of course I wouldn't have been disappointed with a girl or anything!

@TrailRunner: Yay!! Congrats on the boy AND that everything looks great!!
pomegranate / 3983 posts
Had my NT today and looking good. I don't know why but it still hasn't hit me that this is real. Maybe because we haven't really told anyone other than our immediate families? I was planning to tell people today but I think I'm just going to wait a little longer...
@lov2teach: That's so sweet about your daughter! I didn't remember you were on number 3 as well. I'm preparing myself for another boy and I do love being a "boy mom" so to speak but I would be thrilled (and terrified) with a girl as well.
@TrailRunner: Congrats !
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@Baby Boy Mom: I keep telling myself this is another boy too. I guess I don't want to think it's a girl and be disappointed if it's a boy. I truly will be happy with either.
kiwi / 549 posts
All you mamas who already have two boys and are ok with another boy are SOOOO brave. I was always terrified and cannot see myself as a 3 boy mama. Two boys I'm ok with but 3, idk. Lol.

@iluvboba637: Once you have two, what's another one? At this point, I don't know if I'll know what to do with a girl?!

I'll update the list tomorrow... I feel like an absolute bag of crap today. This WILL end soon, right??

@Autumnmama79: @Baby Boy Mom: thanks!!
@YogiRunner: thanks! My morning sickness came back really bad this past week. More vomiting and constant nausea. My meds aren't even helping. I hope it passes for us. It has to. Surely within the next few weeks we will get that magic second trimester feeling...
pomegranate / 3983 posts
@Mamasig: I feel the same way. Thankfully we also know a few 3 boy families and it seems really fun so that also helps.
@iluvboba637: Ditto what she ^ said.
@YogiRunner: Such a bummer! Hope you feel better!
