Wow I haven't been on here for a while due to no internet access and there's a lot of posts on here. Congrats to all the new mommas!
We told our extended family this weekend about my pregnancy. Everyone is really excited for us and I found out that DH's cousin is pregnant too around the same due date as me which is crazy. But of course my nausea totally disappeared this weekend and I'm feeling fine which is really making me paranoid. I'm only 8 weeks so I feel like the nausea should still be here. I wish I knew that everything was OK so I could just be happy that I feel fine.

@Radish: ive been told by two separate people that we would have twins and my test lines are rather dark but logically there is no reason to think there are two in there. It would be hard but such a blessing at the same time.
@pmrlady: if only we had a way of checking up on the baby, they need a phone app for that!

@Happygal: glad to hear about the doctor - exciting to have someone doing it who will be genuinely excited! as for the move, I am living at my mom's (in MI) until our furniture arrives - I've never done a big cross-country move and it takes forever. however, I am very happy to be in a place where I can take a daily guilt-free nap

@Pumuckl: Thank you!
I had my first ultrasound today and was measuring at 6wks 3 days, which is two days shy of what I thought but they weren't worried at all. The heartbeat was 112, which they said was fine for this early in pregnancy. They said they did the ultrasound a few days too early as for them to discharge me to my family doctor (I'm still under the care of a fertility clinic) they want to see a heartbeat of 120 bpm. They've scheduled me in for another ultrasound in two weeks (June 10) when hopefully the heartbeat will be stronger.
I'd had a horrible day yesterday, I burned my hand and lost the stone in my engagement ring and was terrified about today (bad things happen in threes and all that) so was really relieved to see everything looked as it should : )

@travelgirl1: great news. I know my fertility clunic accept 3 days either side of the calculated due date to allow for implantation differences etc so it sounds like you are right on track. Sorry to hear about your ring

Whoa, I missed a lot over the weekend! Sorry I was MIA - we had a lot of family parties and stuff going on!
@Radish: Oddly, I've been having the thought of twins for a good week now, and for no reason. We don't have twins in either family and the thought REALLY scares DH lol
@travelgirl1: That's great news about your u/s! Are you feeling a bit relieved since it went well? I'm so sorry about your ring and hand!!!
@pmrlady: That's awesome that you'll have a pregnancy buddy!! And that your LO will have a cousin the same age!!!
Getting ready for my u/s in a few hours.....I"ve been super nervous about it all weekend!! I'll update in a little bit!!

@travelgirl1: Congratulations on your good appointment! I'm so glad all went well for you.
You girls must have really freaked me out yesterday with all of your talk about twins -- I dreamed that at my ultrasound on Thursday they told me it was twins! Eeeek! (No wonder I didn't sleep well last night....)

Spent my whole weekend with crazy sore boobs. Today (5 wk 6 days) I feel normal (except for my complete inability to sleep at night). Totally feeling paranoid.
Honestly I feel like hearing I had twins in there (once one of my greatest fears cuz i was intimidated by the prospect of two babies) would be incredible compared to hearing I lost the baby.

@ValentineMommy: Good luck! I have my ultrasound this afternoon, and am so nervous!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@ValentineMommy: Thinking of you today, lady! Can't wait to hear your update.
@MrsTiger: You too! Will be looking forward to hearing how it goes!
@MOJ: I am totally with you on the twins/MC thing. I am absolutely terrified of my US on Thursday, but am really praying that all is going well in there. I feel MUCH worse than I did when I had my missed MC, so hopefully that's a good sign.
Also, if it's any help, my boobs were KILLING me from BFP on, and then suddenly got much better right at 6 weeks. Now they're sore, but they only really bother me on and off. Thinking of you!

@travelgirl1: glad your ultrasound went well! But sorry about the burned hand and ring, that's terrible!
@MrsTiger: good luck at your ultrasound this afternoon!
Apparently my new symptom is dizziness
I spent 10 minutes laying on the bathroom floor this morning b/c I felt dizzy/faint every time I stood up. Thankfully it's better now!

@charmed: That's been happening to me, too--usually after too much activity (to be clear, "too much" is not a whole lot right now) or after a hot shower. Feel better!

@sorrycharlie: Right? I guess the only thing making me okay with waiting is that I really want to see baby at the 9/10 week point. 4 weeks from today for me, 5 for you!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@Radish: true! when I go, I'll be 10w3d (hopefully!!!). then the NT scan about two weeks later!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Radish: @sorrycharlie: I'll be 8w3d when I have my US this week, and even though I needed it this early for peace of mind after my missed MC, I kind of wish I could see baby a little later!
The NT scan is optional at my practice, and with our first pregnancy we planned to opt out...so I'm not sure if we'd have a scan anyway even if we didn't do the "test" stuff. I might do it just to see the peanut again!!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@mfa_lady: I do the NT just to see the baby
I did with my DD anyway! I already called and my insurance covers it so I totally am again, lol.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@sorrycharlie: Hahahaha, I totally hear you on that. I know that this week, baby is going to look like a total blob....which will still be thrilling, since I lost my last pregnancy when all we could see was the sac....but still. I don't want to wait until 20 weeks to see a BABY!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@mfa_lady: I wasn't offered the NT scan for LO#1, and I will probably be moving during that time and in-between practices so I likely won't this time, either.

@mfa_lady: my first with my daughter was just under 10 weeks (9w5d?) and she looked like a gummy bear!!! You gotta share the picture
what day is yours again?
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@sorrycharlie: Thursday! The closer it gets, the more scared I am. I still feel terrible (much worse than last time!) so I'm just hanging on to that. I'll be glad when it gets here! It's at 3PM Eastern Time, so I have to wait all day! That's the only time my husband can go...but I so prefer morning appointments!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@mfa_lady: excited for you to see that bean! at least today is already Tuesday, and not Monday
I'm on EST time too (RI) so I'll be waiting impatiently alongside you
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@sorrycharlie: I thought that same thing this morning!! Hallelujah for holiday weekends!
That actually helped a lot--only two days away now!

Well, my ultrasound did not go well. I am beside myself.
They didn't see a baby, only the yolk sac. And it's measuring a week behind. The tech said not to worry yet, but that seems relatively impossible. I saw my son's hb at 5.5weeks, so how can there only be a sac this late? Everyone's suggesting that my dates are off...but I know when my period was, and I used OPK's.....so......yea. I'm devastated.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@ValentineMommy: Oh, honey. I am so, so sorry to see this update. Did they at least schedule a follow up for you, so that you can get some definite answers?
Also, if things are not going the way they should--I have been there, and I understand, and if there is anything I can do to help or support you, wall me anytime. Thinking of you and hoping somehow the dates really are off and that things will turn out okay.
nectarine / 2079 posts
@ValentineMommy: I'm so sorry! I really hope that it is just a case of things developing a little slower this time, but so much love your way.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@ValentineMommy: oh no
do you have another US scheduled soon? I am so, so hoping that maybe implantation just took a bit longer and all will be ok. hugs
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@ValentineMommy: Oh no!!! Please don't let it be true. When will they be checking again to give you a definite answer? So hope it is just a fluke!

Thanks everyone. I am seriously a mess. I can't even look at my little boy right now without bursting into tears.
I have another doc appt on Friday, and she said I should have another u/s next week to see what's happening. I feel like I'm going to die.

@ValentineMommy: oh no, so sorry to hear this! I am also praying / thinking of you and hoping the dates are just off as well. Hugs your way.

Now that I'm thinking about it....and I have no idea if this would make a difference....I didn't get a positive pregnancy test (even using FRERs) until the DAY my period was due. And I was taking them from like 5DPO until I got the positive test. They were negative up until then. Could that possibly mean that the little one implanted late?? I'm hanging onto any shred of hope I can.
pineapple / 12793 posts
@ValentineMommy: that could definitely account for late implantation.
pomelo / 5791 posts
I know some of you ladies are really good with charting and all....so maybe this can give me some hope?
My last period was 4/6 and DH and I BD for the last time on 4/20. According to my OPK's, I ovulated around 4/23 or 4/24. Does this mean anything to anyone? I'm just so overwhelmed and looking for any shred of hope.
persimmon / 1313 posts
@travelgirl1: I'm so glad that you're doing well!
@ValentineMommy: I'm so sorry to hear this hun! I too hope everything will be 100% fine and just the dates are off.
Thinking of you today.
Tomorrow is my appointment! I'm so finally ready to get into the office but I'm very nervous.

@ValentineMommy: I'm so sorry. Did they see the fetal pole? Did they do any bloodwork?
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@ValentineMommy: so I just read that the journey through the tube and implantation can take 2 weeks! if i'm reading correctly..journey 10-12 days, burrowing up to 3, THEN you produce HCG. so if this is just a lazy babe, I think that would line up with your first test being 2 weeks after conception..
