@Snowdrop: @MOJ: @Happygal: Welcome and congratulations ladies! How exciting!

@Radish: That happened to me at around 5am on Thursday morning. I woke up and my stomach wouldn't stop growling. Yikes!

I spent the day buying new clothes because of my tummy right now. If this is bloating, it's the worst I've had! I don't think it is at this point and I'm up a cup size. I would love to attribute this to all of the yummy foods I've been having, but I'm living on dry carbs and light soups. Anything else is too risky with my nausea/vomiting these days.

Luckily, I had lost about 40+ pounds over two years prior to the BFP so maybe everyone will just assume, I fell of the wagon

Ok, I'm tentatively putting my toe in the water. I'm holding off all bets until my ultrasound on June 19. But I'm exhausted, heart-burny, and hungry today!

I can't remember all the questions,

    EDD would be January 25th

    We are totally team green

This one is part 2. Part 1 is nearly a year old!

@namaste: I am so bloated today that I could not stand the jeans I put on when I got home from work! I am feeling much better now that I have yoga pants on. I know it's not a real baby belly yet, but dang. I see why people love maternity pants so much!!

@namaste: Haha, I have already been wearing maternity shorts for like two months...so I just keep wearing them and can't tell how bloated I am. They are sooooo comfy. I have also woken up in the middle of the night the last few nights with hunger pains/pee pains/cramping. My nights are sucking.

@Espion: Yay! I was wondering when you would come over here. I didn't want to pester you.

Ok I know I'm being really silly here but need to hear it from you guys. I've been feeling really queezy all day, like a churning stomach but a couple of hours ago it all went and I feel completely normal. I'm only 4 weeks so I know most wouldn't feel any MS but it's the only symptom I have and it was quite reassuring when I got it today. What has everyone else's experiences been?

  10. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@Snowdrop: Everything comes and goes for me. When I haven't eaten I feel the worst and sometimes I feel completely normal. My first pregnancy I felt perfectly fine 90% of the time.

  11. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Snowdrop: My symptoms come and go, too. And don't feel bad for asking--it freaks me out, too, even though I know it's normal. For me, I feel pretty icky all day with the exception of a couple of hours mid-afternoon, and about a half hour right after I eat something with lots of carbs or protein.

  12. MOJ

@Snowdrop: my symptoms come and go. Evenings are usually when I feel worst and first thing in the morning. But my symptoms ebb and flow. Makes it hard not to get paranoid.

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Sorry for the multiple posts but I'm catching up on a few days here

@Espion: @Snowdrop: @MOJ: @Happygal: YAY! Welcome! So, so happy for you all!

@Snowdrop: I did feel quite queasy around 4/5 weeks, but now at 6 weeks I only have the odd hour or two of feeling crap. I know what you mean about the reassurance, but I keep telling myself to be careful what I wish for, MS suck!

  14. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

@sorrycharlie: I am exactly the same with the boy thing, I have NO IDEA what to do with a boy! I'm one of four girls and we all have girls too, I would honestly have to get someone to show me how to change a diaper if we end up Team Blue! And that is a fabulous looking test!!!

@Mrs. Blue: Yay, how exciting! Your boys will make such gorgeous big brother! Regarding symptoms, I had the most horrendous sickness with my daughter but am feeling so much better this time, it's very unsettling. I'm trying to be grateful for feeling so good but I'll feel a lot better after my ultrasound (if all is well, obviously).

@pumuckl: Did you enjoy your nap? I get to have a nap every lunchtime with the girls, it is so.damn.good!!! I'm so lucky.

@Radish: I think the list looks great now. But I'm always up for making it more fun

@mfa_lady: I'm sorry waiting for the ultrasound is so stressful. But it will be so exciting when you get to see your lovely healthy baby

@ValentineMommy: Good luck for Tuesday!!! Mine is on Monday and I really can't wait to get it done and find out whether everything is okay.

@keepcalmcarrie: I hope your LO feels better soon!

Hi all. Joining in on all this January fun! I'm guessing I'm due around Jan 15th. Apparently not having to remember when AF is coming for so long makes for an "oops....When should I have gotten that" moment! Hahaha. Cue the crazy lady standing in the cold medicine aisle trying to figure out when her last period was. Now that it's sinking in a bit more I'm super excited. Hoping for an early dating ultrasound since I'm not exactly sure how far along I am. My ob typically only does them at 20 weeks, so keeping my fingers crossed for an early preview!

@Radish: @MOJ: @travelgirl1: @SnowLion: @mfa_lady: thanks ladies, the same think happened today, fine in the morning then progressively worse before disapearing at bed time. It must just be my norm at the moment. Gosh each day is scary!

Woke up in the middle of the night sooo hungry and had to rummage round the kitchen for food haha

@Snowdrop: my symptoms come and go too! Friday my stomach was upset all day, and I was exhausted. Yesterday I had a ton of energy and wanted to eat all day. I'm starting to think I'm not going to have a "normal" anymore

    @Snowdrop: @charmed: @travelgirl1: Thanks!

@Snowdrop: nothe much for symptoms yet, but I have had a wicked cold for the last week, but my boobs have decided to jump back up to nursing size already! I didn't have many symptoms my first pregnancy until about 8ish weeks...and then came the all day morning sickness that lasted until after 20 weeks.

@charmed: @cheesehead: my dh says i need to keep my own advice and stop worrying about symptoms as if we hadnt been trying we probably wouldnt even know yet. When i'm getting some symptoms I'm all like yeah that makes sense of course but i still freak out when they go!
We have made a pact just to let oirselves be excited because at the end of the day if something bad happens we will be devastated no matter what so might as well enjoy this time.

@travelgirl1: That nap was heavenly! DH has been really good about taking care of B for a couple of hours each day of the weekend in the last couple of weeks. So I got some more naps in. Good luck at your appointment today!

@cheesehead: Welcome and congrats! Glad you're here!

@Snowdrop: I don't really have trouble in the mornings. It usually gets to me around midday and the queasiness continues until the afternoon. I'm fine in the evenings and at night.

@Espion: Yay, glad you came over Welcome and congrats!

@namaste: Same here, the bloating is insane! Especially in the evenings! I had lost quite a lot of weight post-partum due to breastfeeding so I guess people just assume I'm putting it back on. I'm so looking forward to telling everyone the real reasong though.

I really hope I'll survive work today. B was up from midnight to 2am and just did not go back to sleep in his own crib! In the end I brought him to my bed and that's where he finally fell asleep. These are the moments where I really wonder if having two under two and soloing them mostly is such a brilliant idea...

@cheesehead: congrats and welcome! Wow, 20 weeks is a long wait!

@Pumuckl: good luck pulling through your work day. Coffee is your friend. Oh wait, we're pregnant. Can you sneak a nap George Costanza style?

  27. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@bhbee: Yeah! That's so fun that we have appointments the same day!! I'm trying not to think too much about it and I know I'll be nervous. The RE who will do the ultrasound was also my surgeon for my laparoscopy, so I'm glad he'll be able to see that his handiwork paid off. How are you settling into your new place?

  28. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@mfa_lady: Coke slurpees take me back to my high school days! I like to mix just a little cherry flavor in with it. Am I correct in remembering that you live in Virginia? Maybe we can meet up sometime and drink guilt free slurpees together.

@Snowdrop: My MS comes with a vengeance about once a day and then I continue life like I used to. I wish it was just nausea but I've been getting really sick the past few days.

    @cheesehead: Congrats and welcome!

  30. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Happygal: Embarrassingly enough, I used to drink the "Big Gulp" size of Coke Slurpees in high school! It's a miracle I lived through those days. Although, I guess of all the vices one could have...maybe Coke Slurpees are mild? Haha.

And yes--I'm in VA! We live in the Richmond area. What about you?

  31. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

@Happygal: I caved and just got myself a second cup of coffee. I work in an IT consulting company and we have coffee machines that actually make real cappuccinos with real milk so I always have one of those so they don't contain too much coffee

I am so sick today. It's the first time I'd say I'm not only queasy but full on sick. I luckily haven't had to through up yet though.

  32. cheesehead

@Pumuckl: Sorry to hear B was up all night, that has got to be rough. I hear you on the solo parenting too. Hubby and I work opposite shifts for work so that we didn't have to put A in daycare. Hubs also works nearly every Saturday too to the only time we have family time is Sundays and rarely the occasional weekday he might also be lucky enough to get.

Anyone else worried or hoping it could be twins? Based on my weird cycle, the thought of twins had passed through my mind. I took a test this morning to see if it would be freakishly dark - it was dark, but not sure that it's dark enough. Would probably help if I knew DPO.

  34. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@Pumuckl: mmmmmm, cappuccinos. That sounds delicious, and I hope it gives you a good boost. By the way, I was typing my reply to you while drinking coffee. I'm a big fan, and was scared about cutting back. Luckily, my body has been fine with just one cup.

@radish: my husband thinks he would love twins, something that was discussed b/c we did fertility treatments. I would prefer to have just one, at least for our first go-round!

  35. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

@Radish: My heart stopped beating for a second when the doc said she was now looking whether there is another one in there (there is no such profession as an u/s tech. here). I'm in such awe of twin mommas like @MrsBlue: but in our current work and living situation we'd be in trouble with no family to help out and me being solo most of the week. But then you always get what you get so if it had been, we would have happily taken on the challenge

Sidenote: That coffee helped my sickness get better. I'm feeling pretty normal now. Yay!!!

  36. charmed

    persimmon / 1177 posts

@Pumuckl: Having a cappuccino machine near me would be dangerous! I'm trying to stick with my one cup of coffee every morning, but DH brought me a giant latte from Panera yesterday and I couldn't resist. Those are mostly milk too, right?

@Radish: I kind of wouldn't mind having twins I doubt that we are, but DH's mom loves to remind me that twins run in their family (even though I keep telling her it comes from the mom's side).
@Happygal: My DH says he'd love to have boy/girl twins and then be done!

  37. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

@charmed: Yeah, I try to stick to one coffee a day mostly. Cutting it out completely would cause major headaches so I'm not doing that. Sometimes when it's a bad day like today I don't mind to throw that rule overboard though. You gotta do, what you gotta do in order to survive.

  38. cheesehead

    cherry / 134 posts

@Radish: Yikes! Twins would be scary...but so much fun. The kids would never be lonely and could play together. Luckily enough no twins are in my family at all, so I'm going with my odds are slim to none.

So I just realized that I will either have to buy a second crib or transition A to a big boy bed this fall. Anyone know a good age to do this at, A is almost 15 months now.

  39. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

@cheesehead: We thought about this too and decided on a second crib. But I just learnt the other day that cribs here are different than American cribs. (Kids can get out of the cribs without having to climb over the rails, so they can stay in them longer).

  40. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@cheesehead: I will not buy a second crib. LO is 17 months and will be around 25 months when this one is due. I am hoping to start the transition to twin floor bed a few months prior to that.
