@pumuckl: @OLIVIAOBLIVIA: @MRS. BLUE: @radish: @mrstiger: @nerdbee: @happygal: @charmed: @snowdrop: Thank you guys so much!
We had the same US tech that we had had for our MC scans....and she was so sweet. As soon as we walked through the door, she was like "Oh, you guys! Congratulations! Second time's the charm!" I couldn't even look at the monitor until she said "There's your baby!" And then, surprise surprise...I couldn't stop crying.

@mfa_lady: hooray!! How exciting to get to see a heartbeat.
I have my ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday. I didn't get an early one with my first pregnancy so I'm kinda nervous but super excited, but it's still scary. Not having the option before was almost easier...less nerve wracking maybe? I'm guessing I should be 8 ish weeks or around there. Any idea what I might get to see?

@mfa_lady: Ahhhh YAY! Such great news. I bet you're on cloud nine right now
@cheesehead: I just had one at six weeks and my last pregnancy was seven weeks, and I got to see a yolk sac, the heartbeat pulsing and my baby shaped like a jellybean : ) Super exciting!

So after complaining that I had no morning sickness I've felt like I could puke for most of the day. I co sleep with my daughter for most of the night and when she wakes up at 5.30am, she jumps all over me, kisses my face (sweet but soooo early) and presses my neck which really doesn't help the "am I going to puke?" feeling. So, I've asked my nurse for some diclectin, I know I'm a whimp asking for it on my first day of feeling bad but I have no desire at all to get to the state I was last time so want to nip it in the bud.
So, to everyone panicking that they have no MS, don't worry, it can still come, lol.
I'm 6 weeks 6 days today so it's over a week later in coming than with DD. I should have totally treasured that week!

@cheesehead: Thank you, lady! I was 8w5d yesterday for my first US (I thought I was 8w3d), and they did an abdominal US. I was actually really surprised. She had to press pretty hard to find it all, but that's because I have a tilted uterus, not because it was too early.
I know lots of places do internal until 9 - 10 weeks. So, I think it could go either way! As for what we saw....pretty much a blob, with a head (in some angles, haha) and a little moving spot of heartbeat right in the middle!
For ours, it actually looked more like a baby during the scan than it looked in the pictures they printed out for us--I think it's hard to capture in the still shots.
Can't wait for your update!

@travelgirl1: Thank you!!! We are thrilled.
I hope you feel so much better! Isn't it funny, the things we wish for while pregnant? I hope the medicine helps.

I'm so happy for you!
@pumuckl: That's adorable! I'm glad everyone is excited.
@travelgirl1: I hope you feel better! Ugh morning sickness is no joke.

So, already, at just shy of 9 weeks, my less-stretchy jeans are SO uncomfortable by mid-day. Okay, who am I kidding--it's only 9:30 and they're already uncomfortable. I think they mostly get that way as soon as I sit down.
Also, I'm also getting up to pee EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I never have to do that when I'm not pregnant! I'm going to have to start drinking more early in the day and not so much later on....I miss my sleep!

@mfa_lady: I'm imposing on this thread to say, I drink majority of my fluids during the day and stop drinking before 7pm and still get up to pee at least 3 times a night.

@mfa_lady: that is so sweet that the US tech remembered you! I am only 5 weeks and my pants are uncomfortably tight already. I am soooo bloated. I have resorted to wearing dresses with cardigans in hopes of hiding my increasingly bloated belly.
@travelgirl1: hope you are successful at keeping the m/s at bay!
I'm going to be getting my first u/s next Friday! I'll be just over 6w. Normally, I wouldn't be getting an u/s until 11-13 weeks but I was exposed to Fifths Disease just around when I got my BFP so we're taking extra precautions to make sure the lil bean is doing ok.

Hi all! Went well today, thanks for the luck

Okay ladies I don't think I can hold out anymore because I think I need support!
I was going to wait till I saw my LO's heartbeat that that's like in forever and a day.
EDD: Jan 30th
When did you find out: May 19th
How do you feel?: Paranoid. We have been trying for a while... almost hard to believe.
Child #: 2
What type of provider will you see?/What type of birth do you want to have?: Hospital. Probably drugged up of some sort!
When is your first appointment?: June 20th
What are you most excited about?: Having another baby and actually enjoying them being a baby instead of constantly worrying about this and that... I think going through a second time is going to be "easier" hopefully!
What are you scared/nervous about?: Miscarrying.
So I took another FRER this morning just for kicks and the test line was way darker than the control like.
Thing I learned today - after 5 weeks the test line on FRER will be darker than control line because the HPT in your system is making the test line steal the color from the control line. Haha. Yeah I'm that person.
I hope you don't mind having me! *bows*

@Raindrop: yay, glad you're here! I LOL'd at "a medicated one" ...same here. I'm already panicking that I won't get to the hospital in time for an epidural.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@sorrycharlie: Yeah the first time I was scared of getting an epi because my hospital was like oh it's the beginning of interventions that leads to the horrible c-section.
So I held off having it for a long time but when I finally got my epi ... heaven!
It didn't lead to a c-section for me and my friend that have had c-sections thought it wasn't as bad as hospitals and the Internets make you think!
Don't be a hero first timers! Get the drugs.... well that's my opinion.
Of course I think it's awesome that people can do it med-free. Seriously super women.

@Mrs. Blue: @mfa_lady: @travelgirl1: thanks for the info. I figured we would still be in the blob/jellybean phase.
@Gigi2: great news! That's awesome you get to go back to see the heartbeat.

@mfa_lady: @charmed: @namaste: @NerdBee: Thanks, guys! My nurse rang in the meds for me this morning so I pick them up tomorrow. They didn't work for me last time but this is no way as bad as last time so I'm hoping they'll do the trick.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend

@Raindrop: Congrats! I also took FRER several times, then I switched to the clearblue digital with weeks estimator to see that the weeks progressed. If only it would go past 3 weeks, I would still be taking it lol
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Raindrop: @pmrlady: I am way to scared to keep peeing on things. I don't want to end up with some crazy scare or go out of my mind analyzing. I'm just trying to trust my body until the ultrasound can tell me if things are looking good or not.
