@Radish: same here, I used up my two FRER of which the second was nicely dark and now I've stopped, too scared to do another!

@Raindrop: welcome, welcome!
I did end up with an unmedicated first birth and in retrospect it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. It was only 6h from first contraction to birth though so I'm scared sh*#less of not making it on time this go round.
And I think it is safe to say but B has now fully weaned. Glad he did it on his terms. Now I hope my boobs will get the memo to stop producing...

@mfa_lady: I didn't see your update. So excited for your little bean

So I pretty much hate not knowing when I ovulated and when my due date is. I can't be like yay I passed 6 weeks, because I have no idea when it is. June 24th can't come soon enough.

@Radish: I'm in the same boat....but luckily my ultrasound is coming up next week! The time will fly by though and it will be the 24th before you know it.
@Pumuckl: wow, unmedicated for the first go round! I'm in awe of you! I had to be induced due to LO having an irregular heartbeat at one of our nst's since I was overdue.

@Radish: I feel you. I'm still holding my breath a little to know if my little lentil is real or not.
I've been up since 2:24 AM and could not get back to sleep. I forgot about this early morning insomnia.
I just spent the last thirty minutes reading over my last due date thread for June 2013. Misty eyed!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Espion: When is your first appointment? If I were to guess, I would say I ovulated a whole week late and my due date would really be around January 28th.
pomegranate / 3577 posts
@Radish: It's June 19th. I think I'm fairly sure when I ovulated because of that strange cramping sensation I had the morning of the 5th. Who knows, though? I'll start to enjoy this more once that appointment is over and done with!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Espion: D'oh, I skimmed the list but I missed your name. Agreed! At least you have the excitement of a first birthday to keep you occupied this month!
pomegranate / 3577 posts
@Radish: I can't even believe it. Time goes by so fast. I also can't believe that it is nearly 7 AM and he's still asleep, ha!

@travelgirl1: @mfa_lady: @Pumuckl: @namaste: Thanks for the welcome!
@Snowdrop: @charmed: It's so great to be here with you guys!
@pmrlady: LOL. I also use that too... but I wish it said more than 3+ weeks!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@Pumuckl: A few of my friends... accidently had unmedicated. They just got to the hospital too late. One of them was so bad... she gave birth pretty much 30 minutes after she got to the hopistal and more than one nurse told her that they need to come in sooner if they have another one or they might have a baby on the side of the road. I thought wow what quick births!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@Radish: Hehe I feel a bit of the opposite. Knowing when I O and when our due date might be is a little warey because now it feels like we are just waiting for the u/s to confirm heartbeat. The last time I was pregnant it was such a whirl wind we didn't know till about 10 weeks when they rushed me to have an appointment that week and got confirmation.
pear / 1846 posts
@Raindrop: knowing my exact O date makes me nervous because if I measure behind I can't kid myself that I got my O date wrong.
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Raindrop: well I have an idea I guess just seeing the countdown on my phone and knowing it could be up to a week off frustrates. I would like to be confident of the milestones I have passed.
@Snowdrop: True that. But most u/s measurements aren't perfect.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@Pumuckl: @Raindrop: that's EXACTLY what i am terrified of. my water broke at 5 pm (randomly, no contractions) and I was fully dilated by 8-8:30. first baby. I am so nervous about the second. I actually plan to have a discussion with my OB about it, because I'm having serious anxiety over it!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
so, so, so nauseous. ugh. hit me like a ton of bricks a couple days ago..6 weeks, same as DD. greasy food helps but you can't really stock up on greasy food at home!
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
@sorrycharlie: Sorry
Have you tried Preggie Pops? I've been amazed by how well they can fight off nausea. They won't stop you puking if that's what you need to do, but they can get rid of nausea pretty well.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@sorrycharlie: Ack. So sorry you're feeling bad! Sour/citrus stuff helps me a ton--I've been eating these like it's my job: http://www.outshinesnacks.com/i/products/dreyers/package-6ct/lime.png
Feel better!!
persimmon / 1177 posts
@Radish: sorry you're in limbo about your due date! Hope time flies for you until your appointment!
@sorrycharlie: sorry about the nausea!
@Raindrop: @Snowdrop: totally understand the nervousness of knowing when you O'd. I'm thankful that I know, because I o'd about a week later than "normal" (CD20), but I'm scared the ultrasound won't match up with what I know is right.
It also doesn't help that, besides being tired, my symptoms have gone away. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I'm not nauseous/dizzy all the time, but I can't stop worrying. I can't wait till my u/s Thursday to get some reassurance!

@cheesehead: I was way overdue too but the NSTs all came back ok so they let me go to 41+2, when B finally decided to make it on his own. He was born at 9:58am and at 3pm that day we would have had an appointment to talk induction. The unmedicated part was ok for me. I got to the hospital at 5cm (and that was a check at 8am) and everyone thought it'd be awhile. Well my son had other plans
@sorrycharlie: @Raindrop: Jepp, I might be skipping the shower this time and head straight to the hospital. I can take that once the baby is here and birth's such a messy business anyway
@sorrycharlie: I feel so bad today. I don't need to throw up but I feel aweful and have seriously contemplated going home from work. Hope your day goes better. Please 2nd trimester get here FAST!!!

@mfa_lady: I am binging on those as well, except in the tangerine and lemonade flavors. They are life changing
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@keepcalmcarrie: RIGHT?! I have the tangerine in my freezer, too, but I haven't tried them yet. I find that they're really helpful right before bed...although my husband doesn't agree since he's the one listening to my popsicle-slurping. Hahaha!

@Espion: I've probably slept through two nights since being pregnant. Insomnia is the worst.
@sorrycharlie: Lemon water helped me a lot.
So sorry you're feeling terrible.
I wanted to tell my family this weekend but my cousin gave birth to her first yesterday! Her water broke on Saturday evening so I knew to keep my news to myself. A few hours later after my cousin's LO was born, another cousin's 7mo old passed away after being on the transplant list for months
It's a very up and down weekend with babies for my family and it's hard when I'm the only one who lives out of state. I don't know how I'm going to share the news!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@namaste: Oh my goodness. What a whirlwind weekend--congratulations to your cousin and also thoughts and prayers to your other cousin and your family. I am sure that you will find the right way and time to share your news. Your family will be so thrilled for you!
pear / 1846 posts
@charmed: pg symptoms are just weird, so inconsistent, if I get pms symptoms they would just get progressively worse until the day before AF and I reall thought this would be the same. I'm also weirdly jelous of everyone's nausea and have to remind myself that most people here are further along than me given my jan 30th due date.
nectarine / 2079 posts
@namaste: Wow, that is rough. Hope things settle down and you can share your news sooner rather than later!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Snowdrop: It is hard being at the end of the months and so behind everyone else.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@mfa_lady: @keepcalmcarrie: You guys inspired me to try one of those more sourish ice creams we have in our work-fridge (sometimes it is so cool to work in IT
) and it really helped. I'm feeling a lot better! So thanks for the idea!
@namaste: Wow, what a weekend. Sometimes happiness and tragendy are just so close together. I'm with @mfa_lady: you'll find a good way to announce to your family and they will be so happy!
@Radish: @Snowdrop: I feel you, my EDD with B was the 26th (and he turned out to be born the next month!). It'll get better once the pregnancies progress. Promise - well except for in the end when everyone has had their babies except oneself (can you tell I was a shaken up by that experience
).
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Pumuckl: Oh, so glad to hear it! Isn't it so funny, the weird things that help us through this pregnancy business?
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@mfa_lady: hahaha, oh the joys of early pregnancy. It's just so good to know that the end result will be soooo worth it.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@Snowdrop: you're only a few days behind me! I was at the end of the month with my daughter, too (27th) and it totally stunk. sometimes I creeped on the following month board cause I felt like I could relate more to them (all the other month twins in my group were the first two weeks of the month for the most part).
I know some people who had nausea from day one, and some that didn't get it til 8 weeks, or not at all!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@namaste: oh my goodness. I am so sorry for your cousin, but how great for your other cousin.
my cousin also had his first this past weekend..I wanted to tell my extended family in person, but I don't have an opportunity that wouldn't take away from the event (I live out of state).
persimmon / 1096 posts
@Pumuckl: @mfa_lady: grapefruit juice every morning is also consistently helping me. All I want is fruit. Especially citrus.
Even more than nausea or fatigue, which I would say are both still somewhat mild, I have a superhuman sense of smell lately. The fridge bothers me. Our towels basically have to be washed every other day, or it seems like they're moldy. I smell what our neighbors are having for dinner. It's crazy! Anyone else!
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
@namaste: oh I'm so sorry for your family's loss, poor baby.
@keepcalmcarrie: Yes, I can smell food cooking from miles away, sometimes it is gross but sometimes it makes me super starving
Our freezer seems to have a rank smell at the moment but the worst is DD's porridge in the morning - smells just like wet diapers!
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@sorrycharlie: @travelgirl1: My hubs did a comparison on preggie pops because he's a cheap skate! He found out that jolly ranchers are a cheaper version of it and to be honest they did totally work for me and my morning sickness.
