    @keepcalmcarrie: glad it went well!

    @HappyGal: @bhbee: good luck tomorrow!

    So I totally ripped the crotch out of a pair of jeans today while I was putting them on They were old, but it's not what I needed when I'm feeling fat and bloated (even though I haven't really gained any weight- wth are my hips spreading already?)

    @happygal: @bhbee: good luck!! Can't wait to hear your happy updates.

    @charmed: an excuse to buy new jeans at least!?

    I heard from my Dr this evening (who is fast becoming my fav person) - blood tests from me and DH (we had to get lots of bloodwork done bc I have family history of serious genetic disease) show I'm O- and he's A+ so we'll have to deal with the rh factor stuff. Anyone else have that? She gave me lots of info and was reassuring about the shots I'll need, etc., just wondering if any prior experience here?

    She also said that somehow I am not immune to measles!??! Thought I got all proper immunizations when a kid (and am apparently immune to everything else), but grew up outside the US so maybe they did something different? Dr said we can't do anything about immunization while preg but warned that there's a measles outbreak in our area right now (and I work w/ kiddos!) so I need to be careful. Umm..!?

    @Happygal: @BHbee: good luck tomorrow!

    My NT scan is June 18, I think if that goes well I'm gonna start telling people.

    Does anyone else notice that when you tell someone you're pregnant, they automatically glance at your belly? I think they do it subconsciously but it makes me so self conscious because I feel I'm starting to show already just from all the bloating but I'm still too early to be showing.

    @Gigi2: yes, I did with my DD. totally not a big deal. I got a rhogam shot in the butt at 28 weeks after my glucose test, and then again after delivery (I think the next day). easy peasy! hurt like a biotch, but, birth is worse

    @sorrycharlie: thanks so much! just wanted I wanted to hear, easy peasy definitely worth a couple shots in the butt!! Thank you!

    @Gigi2: lol no problem! honestly, I kind of swore while the nurse did it and it was sore later, but nothing to stress over I was like, "I am so sorry." and she laughed and said she'd be more surprised if I didn't swear..hahaha!

    @charmed: I wear yoga pants on the weekends... yeah. This last weekend one them seriously ripped in half while I was putting them on. Yikes! They were pretty old... like 5 years old. But still I was like what the heck no way did I gain that much weight already!

    I think this is a sign for us that we need new pants. Hehe.

    @Gigi2: Argh measles outbreak in your area... that sucks... be careful!

    @sorrycharlie: You butt shot story cracked me up!

    I'm so tired today! I kind of want to go home early but I can't. Also my sense of smell is kicking in, I think. I use this unscented lotion and now I think can smell a scent for it! So weird.

    @Raindrop: No, they don't do early ultrasounds in my office unless they are for dating or a history of loss. I would have been very happy seeing a flicker of anything, though! But yes, as you said, the Dr. seemed very confident since my uterus size was on track or perhaps a bit ahead of schedule. Maybe the second time it just puffs up more quickly? Haha.

    @HappyGal: @bhbee: good luck tomorrow!!

    @keepcalmcarrie: That's still really good news. I'm glad the doctor had no concerns.

    @Gigi2: vaccines aren't 100% effective so you may well have had all your jabs. I was fine but there were many people on my nursing course who had to go back time and time again for different ones, most eventually got immunity. What bad timing with the measles outbreak!

    I'm finally starting to feel a little better during the day--not QUITE as absurdly exhausted and the nausea is mostly at night now. I'm still really finicky about food, but overall I feel like things are on the up-and-up. Which, of course, is a little terrifying to me (think: "Oh god. I feel okay. What if something's wrong? Is something wrong?") but I'm trying to roll with in.

    In other news, I must be insane, because if you remember about a million pages back on this thread I was interviewing for a new job... Well, they called and offered it to me yesterday, and I took it. And then told then I was pregnant. Ha! They probably hate me, but I'm super pumped about the position and think it's going to be awesome. AND they have a decent maternity leave policy (10 weeks, partially paid) that I'm eligible for even though I'll have only been there six months when this little nugget gets here. Yay!

    Anyway, just a bunch of random updates from my neck of the woods. How's everyone feeling today? (@Happygal: @bhbee: thinking of y'all today!! )

    @keepcalmcarrie: I'm glad things are ok!

    @charmed: It's OK! It's an excuse to go new jean shopping I think! Ugh my hips are spreading and I can definitely tell while I'm doing yoga. It's good with some poses and terrible with others.

    @Gigi2: Stay safe! So sorry you're having to deal with that. Thinking about the outbreak has stressed me out. I haven't heard much about it locally but I can only imagine having to deal with it.

    @mfa_lady: I'm so happy for you! I was feeling great yesterday morning but in the evening, I couldn't keep anything down. Ugh! Hope you enjoy your new job!

    @bhbee: Yay! Such good news! I'm so happy for you!

    @sorrycharlie: Will upload mine later!

    Hope you're all doing ok today! I am swamped with work and it's slightly overwhelming how behind I can get when I need a break. I'm thinking of hiring an assistant part-time for the smaller things!

    @sorrycharlie: my printouts are pretty bad, I don't think they have the best quality there since they send you elsewhere for the big scans. I call this stage the "scuba diver" where you can kind of see a little gummy bear at the end of the cord. You can't really make it out in the pics though.

    Actually the exciting news is that they offer the 1st tri bloodwork screen to everyone regardless of age and said even if I pay it's only $150 or so. We will definitely do it to get the chromosome screens and also of course see if we can find out the gender early!

    @Radish: yes! Baby's measuring 9w1d heart rate was at 177 and a pretty little yolk sack! I'm still nursing baby cakes so I wasn't exactly sure when I ovulated so it was just exciting to see how far along I actually am!

    Good ultrasound today. Baby is measuring 6 weeks, 5 days, exactly on schedule! It looks like I ovulated twice, so I'm grateful I have just one babe cooking. We saw the heartbeat, an amazing thing. My RE said he is graduating me, so I'll call tomorrow to set up an appt. with my new OB. Let's see if I can upload a picture of the baby blob....
