@Finfan: It's funny how different everyone is! Beef is totally grossing me out these days...most meat is actually!

@wrkbrk: Yup! I do have a meet and greet with a midwife next Thursday so i have that to look forward to!!
Anyone having any minor brown spotting? I only noticed it when I wiped after going to yoga earlier that day. From what I've been reading, it's normal, but I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing anything similar?

I'm still scared to join, until I get Monday's beta numbers...but today, HCG was 188 (10dp5dt). The doc says it's good, but I'll still be on the edge of my seat until Monday!

@peaches1038: With my first pregnancy I had a little pink/brown spotting off and on from my BFP through week 10 or so. My OB at the time said it was a friable (irritable) cervix. With this pregnancy it only happened around when I got my BFP, which I assume was implantation bleeding.
Good luck with your midwife interview!
@sarahnicole218: Sending positive thoughts for another good beta!

@sarahnicole218: That sounds really good, doesnt it? My first number was 55 and my doctor said that was perfectly fine! Lol seeing yours I hope it actually is and she wasnt just saying that ... Ack! I went in on 12dpo before my missed period so I am hoping that's why it was on the low(er) side ...

@wrkbrk: My doc said they just like to see it above 50! Plus, I am technically 15 dpo, so I bet you're plenty high now!

@sarahnicole218: Ha I hope so! You go back Monday?? GOOD LUCK! I bet it will be great and you can join. I go back Tuesday.

@EleanorRigby: I don't even like red meat all that much but I had to have it! And then I was totally grossed out looking at the meat section at the grocery store today.

@Finfan: I actually had a burger for dinner! Sadly it was well-done, but man was it good! Food is just so strange these days, what sounds good from one day to another.

@MoreCoffee: Thanks for the response!! That is what I thought as well. I am a physical therapist so I have a pretty physical job. I took it easy all day at home today and no spotting. First time freak out haha. Thanks again for the reassurance

Just had my pregnancy confirmation visit! I'm officially pregnant per the nurse's proclamation. Ultrasound will be the week after Easter! Can't wait. Seems so far away.
We wanted to wait until after today's appointment to call my parents and they were so excited! Feels good to tell people.
When is everyone planning on telling work? I might need a few physicial accommodations since part of my job is setting up for events, which involves moving (not especially heavy) folding tables.

@Finfan: Planning to tell work at 12 weeks, I have a desk job though and my hours are flexible so I can get time off for appts and all without caring what it's for. That said, due to a goof with the fax machine and our daycare wait list application, my one boss knows now ; ) Ah well, she's an old family friend anyway and she's cool. She was so happy for me and has been very sweet asking how I'm feeling. I have two male bosses also and I will tell them and my coworkers at 12wks.

First child? Yes!! After two years of infertility including 5 rounds of clomid, two failed IUIs, metformin, acupuncture, and a round of IVF! We're finally pregnant!!!
First doctor appointment: April 2nd, I'll be 7 weeks exactly.
Any symptoms so far? Fatigue and constipation...wondering why my boobs don't hurt, since that seems to be pretty common. I've also had some cramping on and off.
Who have you told? DH, our parents, my sister, and a couple close friends. It is harder to keep it a secret for us since there were several close people in our lives that knew we were going through the IVF process.
Side note: Is anyone else super paranoid about their symptoms...or lack thereof?! For one, my boobs don't hurt yet and I have not felt nauseous...I know I shouldn't be complaining, but it makes me nervous. Additionally, I have noticeable cramping every day...not constant, but it makes me nervous. Maybe it's first time pregnancy nervousness...but I just want to know when I'll feel confident!!

@sarahnicole218: Congrats! We have the same DD I worry too that I have like .. NO symptoms, so you are not alone! I think it's pretty early for most people to have symptoms though! So I try not to worry!!

@sarahnicole218: That is EXCELLENT!! Yaaaaaaaaaaay!! I have my second test in the morning and I am SUPER nervous since my first was lowish (although the nurse said perfectly fine)!

@wrkbrk: I'm so excited to have a due date twin!! And thank you for sharing your fears...I'm glad we can all go through this together! I agree, I'm trying not to worry. I will focus on choosing joy! I am pregnant right now and that is the greatest gift I have ever received.

@sarahnicole218: Agreed! That is a great attitude! And I am also in the midwest (St Louis). Do you have to do HcG blood draws before your first scan?
persimmon / 1259 posts
@wrkbrk: Today was my last one as far as I know! They might draw again at my ultrasound, probably to check my progesterone level to see if I can stop taking the progesterone in oil injections. Can't wait to hear a great beta update from you tomorrow! It's a lucky day!

@sarahnicole218: Oh I see, I think I misread! Well that's totally awesome! I hope April 2 gets here FAST!!
And thank you for the good luck tomorrow! Will report back...

Hello ladies, joining you in the Nov due date board I just got my bfp the other day so still a little early. This is my first pregnancy after my MC in December.
Location: Melbourne, Australia
EDD: 25/11/15
How far along: FF says 3 weeks 6 days (AF was due today)
First child? 2nd, I have a 2 year old DD
First doctor appointment: nothing organised yet, though I know my OB has broken his leg and won't be back til April. I had to see a fill-in doctor when I went for my checkup post D&C
Any symptoms so far? really sore cramps, twitches, pulling sensating and burning cramps very very low in my pelvis. Feeling a bit tummy churny but not much, surprisingly my boobs aren't hurting yet, they were terrible last time. Other than that I've caught a naaasty cold and the whole family is now sick
Who have you told? mum and mother in law (in the event that something goes wrong again and I need help) and also my best friend who is TTC at the same time. She dubbed me Fertile Myrtle which caused much hysteria. I guess Aunt Myrtle is Aunt Flo's sister?

@sarahnicole218: How sweet you are! I just finished the blood test and should get the results this afternoon ... It's so nice to have you guys when no one (no one!) IRL has any clue what's going on!!!

Welcome @Ladytron, and @FannyMae!
@sarahnicole218: Great to read your "official" first post! It's so hard not to symptom-spot in early pregnancy. I also have the unnerving cramps and fluctuating symptoms. Headaches and nausea one day and then back to feeling normal the next. I try to take it one day at a time!
So happy to see this thread picking up speed! I have my first appointment on Thursday at 7.5 weeks. My midwife's practice doesn't do dating ultrasounds so I'll be anxiously waiting another month for our NT scan so finally see the baby and get a little peace of mind!

@sarahnicole218: 1190! Wahoo! She said that was an excellent jump from 55 in one week. I am so relieved. Ultrasound on April 1!!!!! Thank you again for the happy thoughts.

@peaches1038: Thanks lady!! I dont really quite understand the ranges I read online but I will take a happy sounding nurse saying "this is what we want!" HAHA! Luck of the Irish (we're not Irish ;)).

@eleanorrigby @morecoffee @peaches1038 thanks for the warm welcome ladies!
I'm on the fence about telling more people. Having been through a loss already and having to tell people who already knew about the pregnancy was difficult, but we also ended up telling people about the loss who didn't know about the pregnancy to begin with. Now with this pregnancy, part of me wants to share because in the end, the people I would tell now are the people I would tell if something goes wrong, but am I jinxing it?! Anyone BTDT? I hope the luck 'o the Irish is with us all!
