Well, hello there Woog! This was taken this morning in our hotel room. I'm 19 weeks. We're at Herpetology weekend at Natural Bridge, and every time we meet someone we haven't seen in awhile, the first thing out of my husband's mouth is "I'm going to have a kid!" It's very cute.

So I am struggling a little bit with my plus-size pregnant body. It feels like a trivial thing to talk about - as long as the baby is healthy, I'm happy. But I always just thought I'd love to be pregnant and not worry about my size, but now I sort of wish I was thin and had a basketball belly, instead of being big all over with a gut.
I am definitely showing at this point but my stomach is still jiggly, not round and cute. Also, I tried on the Ergo today (what we registered for) and it was almost too tight... pretty deflating. I just basically wish I wasn't a fat preggo! -
@daniellemybelle: Try not to be hard on yourself. Look in the mirror and remind yourself that you're going to be a great Mom. That you are beautiful, that DH loves you and your sweet little one won't care how much you weigh once he/she gets here.

@daniellemybelle: I have the same issues, my B belly has to be dressed 100% correctly to look cute at all and I think it's still questionable. I also wonder if my extra belly fat is keeping me from feeling kicks (combined of course with the anterior placenta). That's what I'm most bummed about right now. I just WISH SO BAD that I could feel kicks!!! It's killing me!!!!! So I get what you mean. I feel like this is the "hurry up and wait" part of pregnancy!

@daniellemybelle: My belly is definitely jiggly, and it requires the right shirts to look cute. I think we all have our hang ups about our bodies, especially while pregnant, but just remember that you ARE beautiful, no matter what.
@kjpugs: I only feel tickles down low below my belly chub. They aren't consistent at all, and I can't wait for actual kicks!

@kjpugs: I think the placenta placement is probably more to blame for lack of kicks. I'm 16 weeks today and am assuming I won't feel anything till around 20.

I did feel like she would be a she, and my husband thought so too but he also wanted a boy kinda. Everyone in his family, with the exception of two uncles, had a girl first and then a boy, so I think he expected it.

@evansjamie: So are you guys going to celebrate the reveal? We're team green, altho my Chinese Gender Chart told me it's a boy. So I'm really excited to read about everyone's reveals and how they're telling everyone.

@corilyns: My husband is out of town tonight/tomorrow, so we went to breakfast at Bob Evans after our appointment and will be doing some shopping tomorrow and this weekend. I also bought sparkling grape juice for tomorrow night to celebrate.
Oh, and for my coworkers, I baked Funfetti cupcakes and put little pink toothpick flags in them.

@corilyns: The chinese gender chart was wrong when I was pregnant with my son. All of the old wives tales were wrong for me! I don't know what baby #2 is yet.

I'm at the point where I just want to know one way or another. I have moments where I really want a girl, but overall I think its a boy and am so excited to be a boy mom! But either way I'll be happy - I just want to know and to bond with that little image in my head of a son or a daughter!

I'm also really curious about the accuracy of the Chinese gender chart. It was correct for my BFF and my brother's two kids. It says we're having a girl. Can't wait to find out!

Sorry if you've already said it, but is anyone Team Green? I can't wait to tell you all what we're having, and can't wait to find out what everyone is having! Anyone afraid that it will "change?" I've had friends both ways (told boy, then girl, or told girl, then boy) so I'm nervous!

We scheduled our Level II ultrasound today to check the cysts found on baby girl's brain. Oddly, I'm not stressing about it (my husband is), but from our Googling, it seems very benign and that 9 times out of 10 the cysts disappear on their own. So, I'm very hopeful that this will be the case for our little girl, since everything else measured perfectly.

I'd never looked up the chinese gender chart before, but it looks like it was wrong about my first son, and correct about this one.

Just got back from our extra long anatomy scan (1h15m) because the little one was spine up and moving around so much! We found out that we are having a girl which is exactly what I was hoping for! Turns out everybody's guesses were wrong...She was acting modest and coy by covering her face and her nether regions with her hands and keeping her legs crossed most of the time. Most importantly, everything looks good and healthy
