@Protectlove: There is pending legislation to legalize the licensing of DEM/CNM for home birth. There's a big home birth movement going on right now, and if I lived in a more rural area I would consider flouting the rules more. As it is, I'm hoping that this baby isn't breech, otherwise the midwife can't see me and it's an automatic c-section.

So baby girl got with the program and started kicking! She was moving all around at her anatomy scan, but I couldn't feel her. Started to last night and now there have been little thumps in my belly all day Every time I feel her I fall a bit more in love. So weird!

@Chillybear: My placenta is posterior, but I'm heavy and I think that might have played a part. Baby girl must have had a growth spurt though because I can definitely feel her little thumps through all my fat now!

@daniellemybelle: @kjpugs: SO COOL! I'm feeling thumps here and there, I can't wait until they are more regular.

Baby girl had a growth spurt this week! This may be TMI, but I cannot see my lady parts. Shaving in the mirror was...interesting. At least T got a kick out of it

Is anyone else having bump envy? I'm almost 21 weeks and am currently looking at a girl who is 19 weeks and is very visably pregnant with a cute little bump. I'm really not showing at all yet. In fact, I've had multiple people tell me, or exclaim rather, that I'm so tiny! (which I have never been told in my chubby life, and kind of like in a very different way). Although I feel like I'm huge, I'm still waiting for that pop.

And congratulations to all of Team Pink. Us Team Blue need to add more members!

@kjpugs Isn't the movement exciting. I like to lay on my stomach and feel it kick because it's much more intense.

@ChefAimee: Congrats on your little boy! Team Blue is rounding out nicely!

I feel huge as well, but a lot of people keep commenting on how small I am. My husband said, "You really aren't big...are you sure you are okay?" As long as my midwife is happy, I'm happy. I'm up 10 pounds right now, and I'm sure that before long, we'll be wishing for our small 21 week bellies!

@evansjamie: thanks for making me laugh this morning with your shaving story. I'm a nervous wreck because I have my anatomy scan in an hour. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Just returned from anatomy scan and all is well! Baby looks great.
Except DH cheated and kept his eyes open during the gender check. Now he's dying to know for sure.
One thing, one of the kidneys is slightly enlarged. I haven't done any research on this yet and the doctor insisted that I not worry, but I will. She says these things usually work themselves out by end of pregnancy. And if not, the pediatrician will deal with it after birth. Anyone else heard of this?

@corilyns: Yay! As for the kidney, try not to worry and don't consult Google. I haven't heard of this either, but like KJ said, the hive may know more.

@evansjamie: Wish I'd read your reply before I googled it, of course. But everyone on the InterWebs seems slightly calm. I'll do a Hive post. Happy Weekend Ya'll!

Hi Ladies! Just starting on Hellobee. Due date is Oct. 6th and we're having a boy! He's been kicking and moving like crazy - it's truly amazing. Excited to 'meet' other mamas and mamas-to-be!
