    Also, I got a sweet surprise today at work! A former co-worker of mine had twins last year, and she gifted me her never-used Boba! She lives in TN now, but her mom was down there last weekend and brought it to me at the office. I almost cried in the lobby because it was so nice.

    @kjpugs & @evansjamie @jennimac: I've always been a very flatulent one, so when I feel a weird gas pain shooting across my upper stomach, I figure it's gas. I have these feelings, of movement, but it's not like, "Oh yeah, that's a kick." So I'm worried. I asked about my placenta during last week's u/s and they said it's not anterior. They don't feel like my stomach dropping for sure. So I'll ask again. I checked the baby's heart beat this morning, so I'll try to hope that all is ok. Thanks for getting back!

    Hi ladies... I've been MIA the last few days. I read all the threads I'm excited that everyone is progressing so nicely. After our scan on wed I started feeling like I had a head cold. We went down the shore for the holiday weekend. We did our gender reveal with our families everyone is so excited its a girl. Great weekend until 12:40 am Tuesday I woke up in severe pain on my left side. I called my OBs emergency line and they sent me to L&D. Baby was doing fine no sign of infection but they found some blood in my urine. Around 3:30 they sent me home. My 5am I was vomiting I was in so much pain and I was back L&D by 7am. Again baby is fine, no fever, they set me up with an IV and pain killers. They did an ultrasound of my kidneys and found a 5mm stone in my left one. By 11am they admitted me and I've been in the hospital since. I can't leave until it passes. I'm still on fluids they gave me a push button pain killer and baby is doing fine. But boy does this suck! I hope you all are having better weeks than me.

    Just have to verbal diarrhea that we have 2 VERY strong name options to choose between finally, and I'm SO HAPPY!!! It's like pulling teeth to get DH to talk names so I am glad we came to a consensus yesterday! WISH I COULD SHAREE GAHHHH!

    @kjpugs: YAY FOR NAMES!!!

    @Chillybear: That's horrible! Hope you are all better soon!

    @Chillybear: I am so sorry to hear about the stones! I hope you're on the up and up now...

    @kjpugs: Do you have 1 name for a girl and 1 name for a boy? Or 2 for each? My husband and I are pretty much set on one name for our girl (we aren't sharing until she arrives), but people keep bringing up "what if they don't look like x?" Is this a concern with any of you - that you have one name picked out and when you meet your little, that he/she doesn't look like "the name"???

  9. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

    @mrs. mochi: we already know what we're having (confirmed with 2 u/s!) but we are keeping it quiet so we can tell family/friends in person (since we live in FL but our family is in NJ and IN.) Since they all know I'm kjpugs everywhere, I don't trust a few specific family members to not search and find me on there which is why I'm not telling on this thread yet Pre finding out we had 2 boy and 2 girl names I thought were SET. Find out the gender and zoom- DH hates them both. So now we have 2 we're REALLY set on for the correct gender

  10. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

    @mrs. mochi: oh yeah and that's why we have 2. The first one we came up with just didn't sit right with me, it was 100% great on all counts but felt a little like it might not match baby. So I wanted 2 options! I feel like if you aren't telling people ahead of time and referring to the baby as that name, it's nice to have a few options/runners up JUST in case!

    @Chillybear: I'm glad to hear you are on the mend (hopefully it passes soon) and that baby is ok. I can't imagine how scary that was.

    I've been feeling some movement as well but I agree with @jennimac, it feels like my stomach drops during a roller coaster ride. Or I've described it as someone running their hand (assuming its a hand) from my bellybutton down from the inside, very strange feeing. The roller coaster example is probably a better way to describe it to others.

    Also realizing I am in dire need to go shopping, the shirt I'm wearing today is about an inch or two from being indecent b/c it keeps riding up. Luckily I'm wearing a cardigan but still...

  12. daniellemybelle

    cantaloupe / 6669 posts

    @Redmini1: The roller coaster ride drop is a perfect example! That's how a lot of my kicks feel too, although some of them are more distinct thumps.

    And my belly is hanging out today too! I have a non-maternity shirt on with maternity pants but they are the below-the-belly kind. I keep having to pull my shirt down! I guess I need to retire all my non-maternity clothes at this point.

  13. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @daniellemybelle: I don't want to give up my non-maternity stuff yet. I didn't realize that maternity work clothes NEVER GO ON SALE. It's too hot for cardigans. Tank tops are looked down on at my office, so I need to find a nice sleeveless shirt or seven and a cardigan to go over it. At least I have two dresses I can rotate every other week.

    Sigh.

  14. daniellemybelle

    cantaloupe / 6669 posts

    @evansjamie: I feel you. Work clothes are so hard. I can't wear my old work pants even with a belly band at this point, so every week I wear the same thing: the three pairs of maternity work pants I have, one dress, and then jeans on casual Friday. I have been at least mixing up with my non-maternity tops but I'm thinking most of those need to go at this point...

    @Chillybear: So glad baby is okay and hope you are on the mend. Pass Stone Pass!!

  16. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @daniellemybelle: What I wouldn't give for casual Friday! Even though I don't have maternity jeans. I suppose I should get on that, my regular pants are getting uncomfortable with a belly band that also tends to eat my shirts. It looks AWESOME. *rolls eyes*

    Can I also say, bras that grow with your boobs would be awesome? I bought two Coobie bras (the ones that are supposed to be one size fits all), and I currently have bra marks on my boobs. Bras are expensive. I don't want to buy a new one yet.

    *hugs* It's just a season in life, and we will rock our limited wardrobe! And anybody who dares to comment should be ashamed.

    @daniellemybelle: and @evansjamie: Thankfully, my office is pretty casual, I'm in recruiting and staff management so I hardly see anyone except during certain times of the year. Most of the time I can get away with jeans, a nice top and sweater. Just in the last few days I've noticed that my bump is starting to stick out more through my clothes, I told DH now its just a game to see how long I can go.

  18. daniellemybelle

    cantaloupe / 6669 posts

    @evansjamie: I would recommend to watch the sales for Ann Taylor Loft. They have maternity clothes online only! I love their jeans. Also, the Target clearance rack is a good place to look.

    But YES about the bras. I went up both a band size AND a cup size, and got them at Motherhood Maternity so they will double as nursing bras. Um, they are SO uncomfortable. I can't wait to take them off when I get home! My old stretched out, too small bras are actually more comfortable. These feel like wearing Fort Knox on my boobs.

    @Redmini1: I still look really fat, not pregnant, so I sprang for a few empire waist maternity tops so that its more obvious I'm not just eating cake for dinner every night.

    We are back from our Level 2 Ultrasound! The good news is that one of the cysts resolved itself. The 'eh' news is that they saw a bright spot on baby girls heart, but the high risk OB is not that concerned. I will go back in 4-6 weeks for another growth ultrasound, where they will check the full anatomy again.

    We got some really cute pictures of little miss. She is still definitely a girl, and she's stubborn as heck! She didn't want to turn over for her spine measurements, but we got them in the end. She's kicking and punching up a storm, most of which I can't feel, and she was breech today with her head shoved up under my ribs. My placenta has moved away from my cervix and is in the transverse position up at the top, right where it should be.

    Finally, we got the sweetest picture of baby girl reassuring mama that everything is okay! I love her.

    @evansjamie: YAY for the cyst but boo for the spot, I bet it's baby girl's way to keep you checking in on her That's the pro/con there... more worry for you but also, MORE ULTRASOUNDS TO SEE BABY GIRL! And that thumbs up is to die for!!!!! So so so cute Seems like a really good quality u/s too, was it a super good one because they were checking something specific? Or just a really clear pic?

  21. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @kjpugs: It was a high-definition ultrasound to monitor the cysts and also a full anatomy scan. Because it was so clear, that's probably why they noticed the small bright spot, which they didn't see at my 19 week ultrasound. The doctor wasn't concerned, as I have no other physical markers for a trisomy. I am excited to get another look at her in four weeks!

    ETA: The bright spot is most likely a calcium deposit, but her heart looks good and there are no deformities.

    On the down side, it's raining here, which means our night event may get canceled. If it is, I have to use comp or sick time for this morning's appointment. If we keep it on, it will be soggy, but I don't have to use any time at all because it would be a full day.

    Thanks for all the well wishes ladies!!

    @evansjamie: Love the picture!

    @Sadieloo: Welcome!

    as for me, I passed the stone on Thursday afternoon and was discharged that night. They send me home with percocets and an antibiotic. but i only needed 2 of the percs Thursday night to deal with some residual pain/bruising. I stayed home from work yesterday to recoup and get my body back in working order. I was so full and bloated from them pumping IV fluids for 3 days. Needless to say I am doing much better and I got to see baby girl doing great on ultrasound before they discharged me. All the nurses told me that if I could get through that then child birth will be a breeze.

    Trying for day 2 without my nausea meds... yesterday wasn't so bad (just the usual waves of passing stomach pain/nausea that are typical of IBS like symptoms we women are lucky to inherit for 9 months... but no hungover feeling. Today, a little hungover feeling, and food isn't sounding great. Wanting to see if I can last! I cannot be on this dang medication until LO is here!

    @kjpugs: Baby doesn't hate you. He/she might be pressing on your stomach a little bit, but not out of malice. More like, "Hey, I'm here!"

    @corilyns: LOL, thanks

    I find it SO INTERESTING slash ANNOYING that they can't really pinpoint the reason for nausea. Especially how you can have it with one pregnancy or all or none, and how sometimes it lasts til 12 weeks or others... ahem... 21+ over here. There are theories but there's no real reason behind it. Doesn't that kind of just boggle your mind, in this age of modern medicine? I can't get over it! (Well, can't get over that fact OR my nausea! HAHA!)

  35. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

    @evansjamie: thanks I just feel hungover when I don't take it, it's so bizarre, it's like my body's preset now. (Kind of how my husband is preset to be a JERK before 10AM!!!! He treast his with coffee though, hahah!) I'm at the point where I'd like to not pay $15 a month - ish on it but oh well. Just hope it leaves when baby is here! That's all I can ask!

  36. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @kjpugs: I bet the nausea does subside with delivery (if it lasts that long, I'm praying yours doesn't).

    I'm not having nausea, but my hips/pelvis hurt. It's to the point that I was doing child's pose the other night in order to get comfortable enough to sleep. I need to find my exercise ball so I can start sitting on it or do some squats or something.

  37. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

    @evansjamie: that's what my Chiro has me doing. PROPER squats (mine were piss-poor and mostly knees before she whipped me into shape) and doing pelvis rotations on the ball (clockwise, counter clockwise, and figure 8's side to side.)

    @kjpugs @evansjamie: I'm sorry to hear about your ailments. I hope that you find relief.
    And since we're on the subject, I'll share mine. Look away if this if you don't like TMI.
    How about weird pinching pains in my V? Not too frequent. Not enough to make me cry out, but definitely jarring. The doctor on call basically told me I was crazy. I'm a worry wart and was concerned about pre-term labor. (Is my cervix opening?) I hope this goes away. Not optimistic, tho.

  39. singingbee

    @corilyns: I've had this and I think it may be the baby kicking me in the cervix. It hurts for a few seconds and then goes away.

  40. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @corilyns: My vag hurt all weekend! I was like, "WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS?!" but now it doesn't hurt. I know it wasn't because of sexy time (which is NOT happening now, sad). Baby Girl was breech on Friday, so I assume she's been kicking down there.
