@kjpugs: My husband did put a load of dishes in. But I think that I'm going to be the one hanging the blinds this evening and calling the roofer.
I wished my SIL Happy Birthday on Facebook, and 1) She used my daughter's name on FB (we haven't been sharing it on social media and hadn't planned on it until she was born), and 2) she spelled it WRONG. I'm seeing red. She RUINED IT. Especially because one of my husband's aunts asked specifically for her name and I haven't told her, and now his sister goes blasting it on Facebook.
I don't care if it's her birthday. I told DH to call her and tell her to take it down because it is not her place to share it, especially without asking. I've told friends, some family, and people on hellobee, but not the greater population.

@evansjamie: RAGE!!!!!!!!!! I'd be calling her telling her to take it down IMMEDIATELY! Ugh, that's why I don't tell my in laws ANYTHING. My MIL spilled our pregnancy to someone she shouldn't have before we told them, so I totally feel you so sorry friend.

@ladybee: I get that too. It's like he doesn't see the things that need to be done. God love him though. He does take care of the stuff I can't do though, like mopping/sweeping.
@kjpugs: I called him and told him to tell her to take it down. Every time I call there they think someone has died. He said he'd do it in a bit, and I'm like "F****** call her NOW!" I don't curse a lot, but oh my gosh, if I called her now I'd call her every name in the book and he had the audacity to LAUGH about it.
There better be cake when I get home.

@evansjamie: lol at the cake comment. DH has been on my nerves a lot lately (I may be a tad irritable) and yesterday I said "I better not hear one effing complaint at Target and we will be getting ice cream."

@evansjamie: also, the name thing would push me over the edge. I'd lose my shit. I think is give him 30 minutes and if he didn't call yet I would.

@kjpugs: @ladybee: He called her and asked her to take it down. She said she would and she's sorry. I expect a drama filled evening between that and hearing about it from his mom (who would agree with me, I'm sure).
And yeah, he laughed at the cake comment. I can't drink right now, but I damn well can eat my feelings with cake, gestational diabetes be damned.

@evansjamie: Your SIL is ridiculous! That is really, really messed up from her. I don't know what I would do, but I would be super pissed too...and eat cake...and ice cream
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Sadieloo: Sadly, there is no cake. My husband got called to work for the next few days so there will be cake when he gets back. I bought poptarts instead. It took a personal email from me to get her to take it down...six hours after she was asked to in the first place.

@evansjamie: you've GOT to be kidding me. Where did she post it? On her wall? On yours?
watermelon / 14467 posts
@ladybee: Also, just wanted to let you know I washed my mattress pad and it fits on the mattress in the crib with a sheet over it. It's not super plush but it's slightly fluffy and seems more comfortable than just the mattress. Plus it's not plasticky feeling.

@kjpugs: on her wall. Normally I wouldn't have seen it (I blocked her from my newsfeed) but I wished her happy birthday and she said "thank you Hila and Jamie" so I got the notification.
Her name is Hyla Sophia, beeteedubs.

Help: What color crib skirt should we get: Red, Navy, White or Light Blue
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@ladybee: OOOO LOOOOVEEEEEEE! I don't think you can go wrong, I think navy would be my favorite, but if you need a punch of color, red would look awesome.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@ladybee: I'm liking either red or navy. Those whale sheets are ADORABLE!
pomelo / 5073 posts
@evansjamie: what?!??? I'm glad she finally took it down!
@ladybee: I would probably go red, but I really like red. I think navy or blue would look good too!
I had my 30 week appt. I gained 5 lbs this month. Baby weighs almost 4 lbs. my blood pressure was a little higher than normal for me, so my dr is having me come back next week. I didn't have any protein in my urine. I think it was due to busy weekend, stress of school starting, and the fact that my dog jumped out of the vet assistant's arms and I couldn't catch her and she dropped on a concrete floor!!!! She was okay and nothing was broken, etc, but I was scared to death!!!! So, long crazy day and I feel so behind at school and home and everywhere. But, I do not want or need to be placed on bed rest, so I'm trying to chill.

@kjpugs: @evansjamie: Here is the quilt for reference incase we are gifted that too, I'm just not sure where I'm going to put it. And I'm putting this decal somewhere because that whale makes me smile

@evansjamie: Man...she sucks! Hope the pop tart helped. If anything, you know we have your back.

@ladybee: I'm dying that so precious!!! I still like red, ESP with that decal.

@Jennimac: Thanks! Is your puppy okay!? That would stress me out too!
pomelo / 5073 posts
@ladybee: she is. She has been running around, etc. currently she is curled up on my lap while DH and I watch Monday night smack down.

@Jennimac: Whoa, glad the pup is okay! And I hear you about slowing down and resting. It's hard because you are used to going going going.
@ladybee: OMG. I'm dying over the cuteness!

@Sadieloo: They did
As for the to-do list, I'm taping it to the TV next time. The dishes got washed. The birthday card was mailed. The roofer was called. And the situation with his sister was kind-of dealt with.
At least the drill is charged. I will hang the blinds tomorrow after work. All we need is one more set and then there will be no more naked windows. I told my husband that once we got them all we could walk around nekkid if we wanted to. Sadly, that was not enough incentive, I guess.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Sadieloo: Me either! I guess I shouldn't be surprised, I can't remember the last time we had sexy time. He's weirded out by the fact that someone else is there, especially now that she's wiggly. This is a part of pregnancy that I was NOT expecting, but it is what it is, and hopefully once I'm cleared after delivery he'll be open to it. Or, more specifically, I'll just pounce and he'll have no control and the stars will align with a sleeping baby.

@evansjamie: You are not alone! My husband is terrified that he is going to hurt the baby. It's so silly. I've gotten more action from my midwife - it's so sad! That said, we have been super busy with the house and moving and all that jazz and all I can think about right now is resting and putting my feet up. Painting for 12 hours a day is an excellent way to ensure water retention and swollen feet!
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Sadieloo: You need that rest! Take care of yourself! How is the house going? I can't wait to see what you do with the nursery now that you have your place.
kiwi / 726 posts
@evansjamie: Don't worry I am. We are taking few days off and then will go at it again this weekend. I think I will treat myself to a prenatal massage as well The nursery is coming along...so far we repainted the walls put together the crib and threw a rug down. I'll def share pics as it comes together!

@ladybee: What's wrong with the Lt. Blue that you have? I like the red too
@Jennimac: Aww poor puppy and poor you for being all stressed out
@evansjamie: At least you're getting ish done... Sucks that people dont understand social media etiquette...
@Sadieloo: maybe TMI but we're still averaging about once a week. its been an adventure finding positions that work for both of us and we're definitely more comfortable if i'm wearing a tank rather than having the belly on full display but i cant complain too much. I thought i was destined to go 9+ months with no action but hubs is suprisingly less freaked out than i thought he'd be
The basement with be finished enough (carpet and ceilings installed) by this weekend that we'll be able to empty the office and start setting up the baby's room. We'll need to clean and paint, but my parents are bringing up the crib to be put together and then the fun will really begin

@Sadieloo and @Evansjamie: relieved to see my husband isn't the only one weirded out by doing the deed while pregnant. That has definitely tapered off.
@Ladybee: I love the whales! Where did you find the decal?
@Jennimac: glad to hear the pup's ok... definitely agree with you about the taking it easy part but its hard to slow down when you are use to being able to do everything.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Redmini1: I feel like I need to tell him to suck it up, but I'm not going to do that. It wouldn't be fun if we weren't both into it.
kiwi / 726 posts
@Chillybear: Not TMI for me. And GOOD for you. Things over here are dry like the Sahara It makes me a little nervous or what things will be like once the baby actually gets here.

@Redmini1: etsy! Search pottery barn jackson and tons of them show up

@Ladybee: ahh etsy, I've lost more hours of my life on that website. I'll definitely be checking it out tonight after work.
@Evansjamie: I agree with you. I never thought I'd be the one trying to convince him.
Tonight's the first child birth class we are taking through the hospital. It's four weeks long at two hours at a time. Anyone taking or have taken a child birth class? I'm afraid its going to be all lamze breathing and 70's child birth videos...
kiwi / 726 posts
@Redmini1: definitely not the only one. In talking to my friends, many of them are in the same position.

@Redmini1: Field and Flower is the shop. Super cute things! I love Etsy!

@REDMINI1: I am half way done with my child birth class. It is 6 weekly sessions that last an hour each. The videos we have watched are definitely not from the 70s but are rather current - last 3-5 years tops? We have gone over various breathing techniques, massages, etc. I will say that my class is focused on "comfort measures" so more alternatives to dealing with pain. That does not mean we have not gone over medicated births, etc. I think the biggest take away from the class is having other pregnant women who are roughly all due around the same time as me, so we can chat and realize that some of the stuff we are experience is relatively "normal."
