@SADIELOO: Congrats on the little man - ADORABLE!

We are very pleased to welcome Hyla Sophia Evans to the world after 15 hours of labor! She was born at 8:55 this morning weighing 7 lbs. 10.8 oz and 20" long. We are thrilled to have her earth side!

I was able to have the unmediated birth I wanted and I'm so proud of my husband! He was such a good labor coach!

@evansjamie: BEST! NEWS! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy to update Congratulations on your birth experience too, by the way! I'm sure it wasn't easy! Pics please!

@kjpugs: I am with you on feeling like an elephant- not because of size but because they carry their babies for 2 years- forever! I am a week over due and so uncomfortable. I mentally cracked last night, telling my husband I can't do it anymore and that I give up. It's crazy overdue pregnant woman talk.
I really thought 2nd babies weren't typically late!

What's everyone doing to prepare now that we're SO CLOSE (well, those of us who havne't already had their babies!!!!!!) I have done a few of the little stupid things! Like, I started a draft email that included friends/family I want to email before we post on facebook etc. I also made a list in my phone of people to text that I'm in labor or to chat with during labor (BFF's). I also am buying materials to make "padsicles" tonight too, haha. What little things are you guys doing last-minute that I might be forgetting?

Oh my, look how many October mamas have their babies! Crazy, congrats to you all!

I'm mostly in denial in that I'm just living my normal life sans any sort of crazy nesting. Maybe it's a second-time-parent thing. I mentioned to DH that maybe we should install the carseat bases and he was like, "Eh, I can do it at the hospital." Haha, touché.

@Mrs. Yoyo: hubs and I joked about second baby syndrome... We didn't do anything for baby until I was like 32 weeks along. The car seat was in the dining room and on the way to the hospital I was like "oh, throw that in the trunk." Haha... But we were still more prepared than we were for my son since he was born around 34 weeks- my mom kept saying she was going to buy us our car seat so when I had him and she came to see him at the hospital, I was like "don't come back here without that car seat, woman!" Haha!

@evansjamie: congratulations!! She is so precious!! Im glad yoi got the birth you wanted.

@kjpugs: A few weeks ago we installed the car seat, stocked the freezer with yummy freezer meals, I made padsicles and put together a basket of postpartum supplies, loaded a few Friends episodes onto the tablet, I'm keeping up with the laundry, I'll change the bed sheets tomorrow and do one more quick cleaning of the house before the Wednesday induction, I have puppy's bag packed for her to stay at my parents, and now I'm mostly just waiting.

@evansjamie: congrats! She is perfect!!!

I second what @evansjamie: said about prepping. I only had 1st degree tears, but everything is still quite swollen and sore. Dermal last spray, witch hazel and the squirt bottle to help 'wipe' after the bathroom are all awesome!

Just left my 38 week appointment. Haven't progressed since last time. Still only 1.5. Before I was told Id never make it to 40 weeks. This week we discussed my 40 week appointment. Awesome.

@Jennimac: oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!! Praying for a safe delivery and SO EXCITED for you to have her here!
