@Sadieloo: the bright side is now I can relax instead of worrying about baby coming early. Either way this baby can't stay more than 3 weeks!

@Jennimac: Thinking about you this morning! I hope everything goes well and just think, you will be holding your girl in a few hours!!!

We had a good night. Hyla spent a bit of time in the nursery yesterday afternoon to have her stomach suctioned. She swallowed a lot of amniotic fluid during birth and was having trouble spitting it up. Them she spent another hour with them at 3:00 this morning because she was having trouble with gas and spitting up, so Daddy and I took the opportunity to SLEEP. He's still sleeping, Since he was up for well over 36 hours.

@ladybee: I know exactly how you feel! After being told by my chiro I'd go early (I mean, it's not an OB but I hadn't considered it) I got that into my mind, and now here I am past 39... it's hard managing your expectations! Very excited to see when our little ones decide to have their birthdays

I had my 40 wk appt this morning (technically I am 39w6d). Cervix is still at 2.5 cm/50% and I had my membranes scraped. Not sure if this will help - also had a NST scheduled for next Tuesday as well as an induction date for next Friday. I am hoping spontaneous labor will occur between now and the 18th!

@kjpugs: you're so sweet! You'll little one will be here any day now!! I think Alex is pretty happy to be home. His sister on the other hand seems to be indifferent but is doing great with the transition.

I am both totally excited for all the new babies, and so frustrated that mine is just taunting me at this point!
I'm dilated to about a "3.5" (apparently it's more than 3, but not quite 4), and have been having sporadic contractions (some really painful) for a week, but the nurse-midwife at my OB practice told me this morning that I could easily go another week or two like this... it's driving me bananas! (there are times when a contraction is intense enough to wake me up at night.. but then they go away for a while!)
She told me prostaglandins would help, so I told DH that we are going to see how many times we can get it on in the next 24 hours. (Ugh. While I am usually up for nookie any time, any place, "any time" does not particularly include "times when I feel like a baby is about to fall out of my vagina at any moment.")

@SADIELOO: He's so adorable! I do hope the sweeping jump starts things soon. I can tell you this...my "cramps" that I've been experiencing off and on the past few weeks are definitely more intense and now my lower back is hurting - which is a first for me during this pregnancy! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high and think I'll see this baby in the next 24-48 hours.

Introducing Mary-Micah Dupree Fullerton! 8lbs. 14 oz. 19 inches long. Born at 10:52 am. She is a champion nurser so far and we love her to pieces!!!!

@Jennimac: YAYYY!!!!!!!! i've been so anxious to hear all day SO BEAUTIFUL I am so happy for you guys!!!!

currently experiencing contractions every 20-30 minutes today...I hope this doesn't go on for days!

It's so crazy seeing all these baby photos!! So happy for everyone!

@mrs. mochi: Yay this might be the start!

So many babies!!! Congrats ladies so glad to hear everything is going so well for the October mommas and mommas to be. My little princess is keeping me quite busy. She's almost 2weeks old and we're starting to fall into a routine. Breast feeding is going well we had a weight check yesterday and she surpassed her birth weight. She gained 9oz in 6 days hubs is back at work I think I'm healing well and otherwise I can't complain too much. Has anyone started a October 2013 mamas thread?

@MapleMoose: I was wondering if they had talked induction with you, but I didn't want to be annoying & ask! So exciting that you get to meet your LO tomorrow!!!

@mrs. mochi: I think I'd have to be working too unless I was *SURE* - or else you can go crazy! Hope the contractions get their act together!

@mrs. mochi: I hear you! I was also working the day I went into labor. I would have gone crazy waiting to go into labor! Hope the backache turns into real contractions!
