    Dear mamas, I had spotting yesterday and now full on bleeding. I'm doing okay as it's only the beginning. Just praying that it will go quickly as I have no idea what to expect. I was 6 weeks,5 days so hoping it just happens naturally without needing to go invasive. I am beyond happy for you all as you continue your pregnancies and I pray my time will come soon. Thanks for the support. Xoxo and hugs to all those sweet babies in your bellies. My hope during this time of sadness is found in a God who loves me and I know His plans are far greater than mine. Thankful for my sweet 18 month old who has been wiping my tears all day.

    @Mrs.Panda: I borrowed mine but it was only $50-60 online anyway. It's the Sonoline B one.

    @swedishfish: I wrote it on your post but I am so so sorry to hear this. I am sending you lots of hugs and would be happy to talk if you ever want to.

    @JBmommy: I am so sorry

    I had my OB appointment this morning (9w today) and we were able to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler! The OB was less than optimistic that she could find it this early but I wanted her to try anyway. It was such a wonderful sound, and so very reassuring, given our recent loss. I know that we are still early and will be waiting until the 12 week u/s to tell family and friends, but I feel such relief, as does DH. I'm thankful to be able to share our joy on here since I can't do it IRL

    @JBmommy: no I'm so sorry. Your LO sounds like a total sweetheart and hopefully will help mend your pain.

    Wow this has been really sad on here for a few days, I know miscarriage is very common but did not realise how many ladies I was talking to would be affected. It always seems IRl that is happens to a friends friend but I'm so sad it's actually us, as in our group here. Really thinking about all you ladies, it could so easily be any of us and I'm so sorry it's happening to you.

    @bushelandapeck: your news is lovely and heartwarming though, did she have to press down really hard to find it?

    My scan will not be moved and DH is working the day of the next private appointment so I'm having to wait till then, ill be 13weeks and 3 days, I cannot believe I am managing to hold out that long until I either hear or see a heartbeat. 20 days and counting!

  12. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @Mrs tartan: She didn't have to press very hard, no. I feel like it was more gentle than with the ultrasound actually. It was in a place I wasn't expecting though, as I wasn't able to find it on my own with the doppler yesterday.

    So I finally (finally!) had my first OB appointment today!

    They took me back first thing to get an ultrasound, and I think I let out a huge sigh of relief when the tech said that everything was ok! Baby's measuring 8 weeks on the nose, I saw a tiny little heart pumping away, and then she turned on the sound, and we got to hear it too!

    The rest of the appt was talking to nurses, then the OB- she was no-nonsense but nice, which I liked, and gave some straight talk about prenatal testing. I'm pretty sure that we're going to go in for the cell free fetal DNA test in 2 weeks, since my insurance will cover it (mainly because at 36, I'm as old as the hills as far as the insurance people are concerned!).

    I'm just relieved for the moment- of course I'm a worrier, so I'll probably start getting anxious next week about the testing, but I'm trying to manage the worry. As my Grandma says, Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you!

    @LulaBee: Oh my goodness!! I am catching up on the past couple days of posts and I just GASPED out loud when I read that you saw a heartbeat! Sending lots of warm thoughts your way. Miracles happen.

    @JBmommy: @swedishfish: so sorry to hear this, ladies.

    xo@bushelandapeck: @Ms.Pumpkin: yay for hearing the heartbeat. My first appointment is Monday, and I can't wait. Seems like forever ago that I called to schedule it. After Monday, everything will seem so much more real.

    @Swedishfish @JBmommy - Sorry for your losses

    @ms.pumpkin - congrats and I'm so jealous:

    I had my first ever OB appointment today and they said they don't do ultrasounds until 12 weeks! Something about not wanting to worry people unnecessarily if they don't find the heartbeat, etc. I managed to talk them into a 10 week ultrasound, it's going to be a very long two weeks! If I didn't love a million other things about the practice I'd be shopping around. 13 more days...

    I'm going downhill fast ladies! All of a sudden I feel so so tired and nausea is sneaking up on me I am exactly 7 weeks today and I am hoping it doesn't last too long. Yesterday I managed 30 minutes on the elliptical but I am doubting I can do the same today!

    Does anyone have a "bump" yet? I know since our babies are between poppy seed and grape sizes that it can't really be due to baby, but our giant uterus' might!
    I have a proper, full on round bump, which cannot be breathed in. It's not huge or super noticeable to anyone yet but it is there! I'm 10 weeks 3 days and can't believe I have another 3 weeks of growing before my scan and can tell everyone!

    We had yet another ultrasound today at nine weeks exactly. The last ultrasound we had was six days ago and in that one we had a heartbeat of 171 and it measured right on target and had little arm and leg buds starting to grow. This time, the heartbeat was 180 and the baby grew seven days worth in the past six days. So we have a super grower DH is now calling him/her our little mutant now because of that.

    The nurse put in for a referral to get the cell free DNA genetic testing done but we're still deciding whether we want to foot the bill for it. I am for it (for the actual genetic testing not the sex results) but DH is all about saving every bit of money we can right now and thinks it's not really necessary. We shall see what happens.

  21. cyndistar3

    pomegranate / 3980 posts

    @Mrs tartan: I had a rather protruding bump at that time last time as well! Right now I am only 7 weeks and have a lot of flab so I'm not seeing any difference yet.

    Also, instead of weekly bump photos since she's not showing yet, my sister has been sending me weekly boob photos to show me just how ginormous they are growing. I laugh every time I get one! DH also thinks it's pretty awesome Apparently, they have gotten so large that when she goes to put on a sports bra before working out, her girlfriend comes running because it's like this epic ten minute battle to contain them and is the best entertainment around.

    @however briefly: any pics of your new scan? I love scan pics! Super jealous of your sister, my belly is growing and my boobs are sore but have not grown at all. Still dreaming of the day I can grab a handful
    @cyndistar3: good to know its normal, DH likes to wind we up about how there are 8 babies in there!

  24. however briefly

    @Mrs tartan: I have no ultrasound photos yet! I think the first batch got lost in the mail which isn't the end of the world because it was at 5 weeks and was pretty much teeny tiny. I think these last two times she didn't get any. Or she just didn't tell me and mailed them off. I'd be happy with a cell photo of the ultrasound screen but apparently she's always so enthralled that she forgets? I don't even know. Ah well, as long as I get good photos later on in the pregnancy, I'll be happy.

    @Mrs tartan: my mil liked to say she saw multiples every time we got an ultrasound with our last two lo's. Dh is too scared of having more than one at a time to say anything like that haha!

  26. Mrs tartan

    kiwi / 656 posts

    @however briefly: very true, there isn't much to see that early. Only later on you will be able to see your babies own facial features. Does your sis have her own children?
    @cyndistar3: yes I'd love to see DH face if there is more than one in there, in fact I don't even know if he really realises there is one in there now, i don't think it will feel real to him until he sees the baby on a scan.

  27. however briefly

    cherry / 249 posts

    @Mrs tartan: Nope, no children and no desire for them. She's not very maternal and is very career-oriented so it is very interesting to watch her experience this. We'll have to see if being pregnant changes her views on kids! (although I doubt it, hahaha)

    By the end of the day I have bloat bump and my pants/jeans are def snug but no real bump yet. It's still super early for me though so...

    I'm jealous of all these ultrasound appointments!!! So happy happy to hear about strong heartbeats etc. Next week can't come soon enough! Nausea has finally decided to make an entrance especially if I wait too long in between meals. Not going to complain though, just means everything is moving in the right direction! I might buy a seaband this weekend, I've heard good things.

  31. cyndistar3

    pomegranate / 3980 posts

    @cmbknyc: that's where I'm at right now, just bloated. I'm also jealous of all of these ultrasound appointments, there's a good chance I won't get one until around 20 weeks because that's how my midwife rolls.

  32. Mrs tartan

    kiwi / 656 posts

    @cmbknyc: ugh I have this too, I have to eat all day long every day just to get through. Probably get max of an hour after a big meal before have to eat again. That's probably what this belly actually is. Haha
    @cyndistar3: 20 weeks! Wow you would be my hero if you waited until 20 weeks, I'm really struggling to wait until 13+ weeks. I feel like on here I was one of the first pregnant and one of the last to see the u/s against my name, but wow now I feel better. How do you feel about waiting that long?

    I am not really having any symptoms. No nausea and my boobs aren't sore. Tummy's just a little "off" at times or no real appetite, but not a big deal. Maybe I AM one of those lucky ones! Or maybe it just hasn't hit me yet at 6w3d. I'm so jealous of you ladies getting your ultrasounds! We are going for ours in 1 week

  34. cyndistar3

    pomegranate / 3980 posts

    @Mrs tartan: I want to get one sooner but it will be an extra $250 on top of our entire midwife bill that we just can't afford at this time. Besides my midwife really prefers to not do any "unnecessary" ultrasounds. I guess I'll just have to survive it lol...

    Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't online much due to feeling icky. Morning sickness is in full force and I've been coming home from work, making dinner, putting my LO to bed and then going to bed myself. LOL. My ultrasound is just a little over a week away and I'm looking forward to it. I will be telling work after that as long as everything looks good. Sadly, I can't hide the pregnancy much longer due to the nausea. I'm not concerned though .... we got married not long ago and everyone keeps asking when the next baby is coming along.

    Had some slight cramping and brown spotting last night and a bit this morning so I called around to different OB offices and was able to get an appointment for today at 2pm about an hour away. Wish me luck. Hopefully they will do an ultrasound.

    @Mrs.Panda: Hope everything goes well today! Keeping you in my thoughts!

    Oh- and I also forgot to mention! After going to the OB, my official due date is now October 11!

    For future appointments, I've definitely got one scheduled for April 2nd (I'll be 12w), but sometime in the next 3 or so weeks I'll be scheduling the blood test for the cell free fetal DNA test and an 11-12 week ultrasound.

    @cmbknyc, @cyndistar3, @Mrs tartan: I also have the strange, end-of-day bloaty bump! I imagine if you are a slender person, you'll definitely start showing much earlier! I've got a bit of padding, but I can definitely tell by the end of the day that I'm bloated. Even my tummy isn't that poochy!

    @MrsScottish: @Ms.Pumpkin: @cyndistar3: Thanks ladies! I really appreciate it.

    I got to speak with the doctor and she said I have a subchorionic hemorrhage. It's average sized and she said she thinks it will either reabsorb or I will pass the blood. I also have a friable cervix which bled when she swabbed me. No sex for the first trimester! She says she's not too worried about it but she wants to recheck me in 2 weeks to make sure it's not getting worse. It does have a higher risk of miscarriage but it's really common, she said. I really liked her but she doesn't deliver at the hospital I have to deliver at but I'm measuring 6w1d so my new EDD is 10/30. Heart rate 115, got to see the little flicker and also hear it!

    Without further ado!
