    @lioneyes: @Ms.Pumpkin: Congratulations ladies!!!! I'm so jealous that you get to find out so soon. Apparently in NYC it's illegal administer the cell free DNA test unless you're 35+ or have an issue with your NT screening. So practicing patience! HAve fun shopping!!!!

    @Mrs.ThinMint: congrats on a great scan!!!

    @however briefly: Wow your SM has such an awesome little baby bump! That was super sweet of her to send you the audio of the heart beat

    Also, my NT screening is scheduled for 4/15.

    @bushelandapeck: I kinda love the idea of just having your LO wearing his big brother shirt and letting everyone simply notice.

    @wonderstruck: I hate when that happens! I actually have gotten into the habit of copying each post right before I hit submit just in case so that if it does eat the post, I can just paste it right in again.

    @cmbknyc: We're not getting the cell free dna testing done either. I thought we would but since SM is only 30 they did a different one instead that doesn't give sex results. Boo

    @however briefly: yeah, that's probably what we will do. Unfortunately, not all of our families will be here but at least parents and some siblings will be. The others will just have to be okay finding out over the phone

    @cmbknyc: we don't have the option for cell free DNA either, unless there is a problem on one of the scans or if I was over 35 (close!). We did get our results from the early risk assessment back though, and the numbers were great! I'm feeling good about that.

    @however briefly: love the audio of the heartbeat! We haven't heard ours yet. Hopefully next Tuesday at our officr visit.

    Just got home from my NT scan a little over an hour ago. The u/s tech said everything looks good and it's an active baby. 150bpm. They didn't do anything in terms if dating the pregnancy based on the u/s, so I'm stuck with a due date based off my LMP. I'm slightly annoyed by she said they do that on the first u/s bc that's the most accurate, but when I asked during our last u/a, she made a comment about that not being the purpose of the u/s. Siiiigh.

    Also, just posted the "bun in the oven" as my profile pic on fb. Let the games begin!!

    @bunnylovesbear: fun! Did you get a lot of responses?

    We decide to tell our families and close Frieda last night because DH decided he didn't want to wait until Easter anymore. Lol. Everyone was thrilled! I texted them this pic and also out it on IG. No FB posts yet but I probably won't wait too long sine most everyone we care about already knows.

    Here's the picture!

    @however briefly: boo Awesome bar graph by the way!!!!

    @bushelandapeck: I know...I'm just a couple away from 35, so lame! Congratulations on your screening results though that is wonderful news. And LOVE your announcement, your DS is too cute

    @hellocupcake: welcome and congratulations!!

  12. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @cmbknyc: I'm 33 so I was going they would just let me have the test, but nope. I had it last time because we had a few soft markers for DS but everything ended up being fine. We already knew the sex when those results came back after my anatomy scan so it wasn't a surprise.

  13. butterbean

    apricot / 349 posts

    @bushelandapeck: love your announcement!!!

    @hellocupcake: welcome and congrats on #2!!

    we told our daycare about #2 so we can get placed on the wait list for the infant room...luckily, we'll get priority since #1 already goes to that daycare...

    i think we're going to announce #2 to our close friends via text and probably do a FB post when we find out the gender...

    my lower back has been so sore lately and i think it's due to the fact that DS wants to be carried from time to time...i keep telling him that i'm not going to be able to carry him for much longer

  14. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @butterbean: thank you! My LO always wants to be carried and he's or to be close to 28-30lbs. Brutal! I want him to walk more but I also love being close to him when I carry him and I know I won't be able to so it much longer.

    @hellocupcake: welcome and congratulations!!

    pomegranate / 3980 posts

    @bunnylovesbear: yay for healthy baby! That sucks about the dating though. Any pics you wanna share? And are people figuring it out? That sounds like fun

    @hellocupcake: welcome and congrats! Your lo is adorable!

  16. LBee

    pomegranate / 3895 posts

    @bushelandapeck: totally thread hopping, but it cracked me up that your phone auto corrected to "close Frieda" instead of "close friends." How often are you saying "nose frieda," girl? HA!

  17. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @BakerBee: LOL! I do recommend the nose frieda to everyone I know who is having a LO, so I guess probably a lot!

    I had a regular OB appt this morning and everything is going well. I've gained 1lb so far, which is more than I had last time, so I'm trying not to get too crazy just yet. My anatomy scan is scheduled for 5/7, along with another OB appt the same day. 5 more weeks!

  18. cmbknyc

    kiwi / 630 posts

    @bushelandapeck: So exciting to have a date to look forward to!!! I have a question about the Nose Frida...you really don't end up with snot in your mouth? First time mom question, lol

  19. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @cmbknyc: nope, no snot it a little weird at first but it was so much more useful than the bulb that I quickly got past the ick factor. I anticipate our LOs will have a few colds this winter so it will likely come in pretty handy.

  20. Ms.Pumpkin

    apricot / 435 posts

    @bushelandapeck: Good to know about the Nose Frieda! It is a seriously freaky concept, but HB moms all rave about it, so I'm going to put it on the list!

    I had a quick OB appointment this morning, it was really just 15 mins with the doctor.

    Everything looks good, I was able to hear the heartbeat with the doppler, so I'm a happy camper!

    @bunnylovesbear: Yay, exciting!

    @hellocupcake: Welcome and congrats!

    @bushelandapeck: Super cute announcement!

    As someone who has no idea what a "nose frieda" is, this conversation is very entertaining - I'm a little terrified of whatever it is

    persimmon / 1367 posts

    Oh, and a question: I'm getting my blood test done tomorrow for the harmony free-cell dna test (I'll be over 35 when I deliver) any idea how long it takes to get results? I'm dying to know gender!! (and of course that all is ok in there)

  23. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @Rocker2014: when we did it two years ago it took about a week I think.

    @Bushelandapeck: that soon?? Wow, thanks!

  25. Ms.Pumpkin

    apricot / 435 posts

    @Rocker2014: We did the Harmony test, and had the blood drawn on March 18th, and got a call from the Doctor on the 27th.

    It was pretty easy, and it definitely provides additional peace of mind!

    @hellocupcake: welcome!! And what an adorable photo!

    @cyndistar3: yes, I'll post some pics a little later tonight. I'm in my iPad right now, but I have them saved on my phone.

    @bushelandapeck: cute announcement pics! And yes, lots of fun responses. Lots of disbelief bc it was April Fools Day...some even went as far to say that they'll only believe it if I stick to my story for more than a couple days. Even after I posted an u/s pic! Lol

  27. bunnylovesbear

    kiwi / 600 posts

    Okay, now I'm posting from my phone. Here are a couple images from my NT scan yesterday. I forgot I was supposed to go with a full bladder, so they're a bit fuzzy, but still so exciting to see!

    My EDD has changed to Oct 13 and we're team green!

  35. Ms.Pumpkin

    Eek! Had our NT scan this afternoon, and everything looks great! Baby was being really stubborn, and wouldn't shift into a good position where we could measure the back of her neck, so I had to keep going to pee, and at one point the ultrasound tech had me doing toe touches and coughing to try to annoy LO into shifting!

    Here are a couple of photos from the scan, one from the back of an uncooperative baby, and the other a profile.

    Had an ultrasound today. Baby is measuring big- a good 10 weeks she told me which puts me into October. She joked about my cavern of a uterus and how she has never seen one that big for a first timer. Baby was waving and dancing for most of it which was cool to see. Heart beat was 180. DH and can't stop grinning. Lmp date gives me nov 5. Ovulation gives me Oct 31. Not a big difference but hope you ladies don't mind me hanging out with you ladies as will as the November ladies! I love all of the knowledge and experience that you have being ahead of me!

    @however briefly: LOVE the Doppler soundtrack, I still haven't heard baby's heartbeat at 15 weeks, I must buy one. @hellocupcake: welcome and big congrats, gorgeous pic of your LO.
    @bushelandapeck: oh wow, your LO is a proper cutie, lovely announcement picture.
    @bunnylovesbear: wonderful scan pic, that little hand. Awww bet you can't wait to kiss those little fingers.
    @Ms.Pumpkin: what a little monkey, you look like you have trouble on your hands there
    @MrsScottish: lovely scan pic, of course not. All of us could have our babies early or late so from time to time I look at the sep board as I'm due 1st oct. I don't post there but that's just because there are so many of them, I struggle to keep up with October moms stories. I blame it on pregnancy brain!

    Sorry I've been a bit rubbish at posting for past 2 weeks, if I'm honest it's just because nothing has happened. Haha. All my sickness/nausea/tiredness is over. I feel back to myself but a bit fatter. Ill be 15 weeks on Monday. I've told work, all family and closest friends, will do a Facebook post after the 20 week scan in a month. Anyone who sees me will probably know, my tummy is definitely round! Everyone is happy, bought a couple of little things. Other than that very quiet. Most looking forward to feeling baby move in a couple of weeks. Eeek!

    Has everyone announced now? Anything exciting happening with all of you?

  38. bushelandapeck

    pomelo / 5720 posts

    @Ms.Pumpkin: glad everything looks good! Will they have you come back again to redo the measure at or just wait until the second scan?
    @MrsScottish: yay! So funny about the uterus comment.
    @Mrs tartan: nothing exciting going on here. Finally feeling a bit better and glad to have told our families and close friends. I'm nt really showing at all yet, but I imagine it will happen in te next 3-4 weeks. I really need to tell my work but I'm still hesitant for some reason. Probably because I'm not sure I want to go back once the baby is born. Tough decisions!

    @Mrs tartan, @bushelandapeck: lol! In a way, it was good that she didn't cooperate. Mr.P was running late due to work, and while it was just me, we tried 3 times to shift her into the right position, we tried full bladder, empty bladder, toe touches, coughs, etc.

    Then of course about 5-10 minutes after Mr. P walks into the room, the little stinker rolls over and gives us a profile view, and the tech was able to get the measurements.

    If she had cooperated right away, Mr. P would have missed the whole thing, so we've been joking that she was just waiting for him to show up!

    @bushelandapeck: I'm the same, I have agreed an initial 3 month return to work after maternity leave, only because I will have accrued enough holidays to work 2 days a week and still be on full pay. I don't know whether I will return to work full time again, it's quite awkward having to pretend that I will.
    @Ms.Pumpkin: how cute! Already a daddy's girl.
