@cyndistar3: excited for your u/s today!
@Jasmine Green: omg...that's such a good scan!
@Ms.Mermaid: good luck with your job interview! i was about 3-4 months pregnant with DS when I was interviewing for jobs (i was hiding it at the time). when i was offered a position, i told my boss about the pregnancy shortly thereafter...she was happy for me especially since she recently came back from maternity leave.
@Ms.Pumpkin: wow! 3 hours!!! i hope they are willing to work with you on a flexible work schedule....and i also hope you hear some good news from your DNA test

@bushelandapeck: i think this is your 2nd LO...is your first in daycare? if so, what are your childcare plans for your 2nd?
pomelo / 5720 posts
@butterbean: it is my 2nd. We have a nanny now and I work two days per week. It's been a really great balance but I didn't have to go back to work until he was 9 months and I'd like to stay home for 6 months or so this time too. Not sure that's possible with my current job, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

@Mrs tartan: I've had some pretty bad back problems ever since my spinal from having a c/s last time. The place that the put it in still hurts that's great you get massages! My package at the birth center I go to includes 5 massages and I've never used them before but with how bad my back is now I think I will!

@bushelandapeck: How adorable! I looove looking at scans this far along, they look so baby-like, and less like a gummy bear! So glad everything looks good for you guys!

@cyndistar3: @Ms.Pumpkin: thank you!!! S/he was moving around a ton too which was just so cute! Waving it's little hands and rolling 6 weeks until we can find out what we are having!

@cyndistar3: I know! I have another OB appt next week and will have one the week before the anatomy scan, so it feels like it will probably go by quickly!

@bushelandapeck: amazing scan pic!! Gorgeous.
Our LO would not stay still today, jumping around and twisting/turning. Then when s/he finally laid still the hiccups started! Was so cute to watch. Measuring 13 weeks exactly and Edd stays 1st oct

@Mrs tartan: Aaah! I was hoping that you'd update- what a beautiful baby! How exciting!
The faces on all of these 12-weekers are just killing me, especially those tiny noses!

I am a little disappointed that they didn't do the intravaginal because it wasn't very clear at all but everything looked good, heart beat was 180. They say I measure at 9w 5d and gave me a due date of the 25th but she said I was probably more accurate?

@Ms.Pumpkin: @bushelandapeck: @cyndistar3: thanks ladies, it was fab. I want to see it again now!
@cyndistar3: I'm jealous you got to hear the heartbeat, we seen the heart thumping away but she didn't measure the rate or let us hear it, I forgot about it with all the excitement! I guess I'll need to buy a Doppler after all!

@Mrs tartan: I want to see it again tomorrow as well thankfully I have an appointment in 4 weeks to get another, it seems like so far away but it will probably (hopefully) go by pretty fast.

so i'm trying to decide on a babymoon destination- the hubby has basically left it up to me since the places he wants to go to, i don't particularly care for or think i'll have a good time at right now. timing-wise, we want to go in mid-late may to coincide with wedding anniversary, so i'm hoping the ob can tell me for sure if the trip will fall during week 20's anatomy scan.
so far i'm considering these cities for a week-long trip: madrid/barcelona, lisbon, amsterdam, england. i really want to go back to the amalfi coast but with so many places i haven't seen yet, i shouldn't repeat yet. any suggestions on a good late spring destination?

Hi all, just checking in. Nothing much new here, just being sick with a nasty cold/flu, which sucks. So exciting to see all the pics posted here - lots of great news going around this thread lately!

@butterbean: I work in an elementary school, and I just told my principal last Thursday. But that was be my NT is scheduled on a meeting day, so I needed clearance to skip it. I told 3 teachers I'm close with, as well. Otherwise, it's still a secret at work.

Are you all announcing on Facebook? I assumed we would this weekend but DH yesterday said he didn't want to, he thinks its to personal a thing to put on Facebook and will contact everyone he wants to know. He said he will happily post when baby is here, but not before as it could jinx it!
Is that weird? I want to shout it from the rooftops now that I've made it to 13weeks. I don't understand really why he doesn't. He said I can post it, but he isn't going to. Hurumph.

@Mrs tartan: I guess I am just overly optimistic because I already announced on fb lol... we told all of the important people first though. I had to shout it from the rooftops, I am pretty excited

@Mrs.Panda: I'm so glad to hear things are getting better! My spotting is all gone for now but I have pretty bad morning sickness. It's ok though, it's all for a good cause! I loved your ice cream story - I feel like that will be the first of many nonsensical crying spells for all of us!
@Jasmine Green: @bushelandapeck: @cyndistar3: @Mrs tartan: amazing scan pics! It's so neat how quickly they change!!!
@Rocker2014: Feel better, that sounds awful!!!
@Mrs tartan: We'll probably announce when we learn the sex...but I know how you feel! I just want to tell everyone, friends and strangers alike lol

I am dying to tell people and I am 9 weeks tomorrow! I have been really good though and only our parents, and 1 friend each know. It is getting harder and harder every day, especially because my belly is already visible! I keep getting looks from people at work! Even my students are checking out my belly! I am trying to make it to easter weekend which would be 12 weeks....... it might be very obvious by then which ruins the surprise and fun factor!
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Mrs tartan: we still haven't told our families! I'm not sure what is holding us back but now we may even wait until Easter when I'll be 15.5 weeks. Last time we announced at Christmas so we were able to tell everyone (family) at once. It was really special and I think we are having a hard time just cold calling people this time. Haha. As for FB, we will definitely wait until after we tell our parents and friends, most likely not until we find out what we are having. DH doesn't use FB so he isn't big on me posting lots of personal info on there.

@Mrs tartan: @cyndistar3: we are going to announce after 12 weeks are over so about 2 more weeks. But all of the important people know already
@cmbknyc: thank you! I got another scan today and little gummy bear was dancing and moving around. So cute! Almost 10 weeks

@Mrs.Panda: aww such a cute little gummy bear we got to see our little bean wiggling around a bit but wasn't nearly as active as Lilly was at this time, we called her our little jumping bean!

Is anyone else freezing all the time? It is 70 in my house and all I want is my fuzzy socks and a pile of blankets. Also, absolutely no actual food sounds good right now, I am so hungry but the idea of eating is making me sick.

@cyndistar3: I am either super cold or really hot. I was walking the other day in an outdoor mall and was sweating so much. I can't stand being hot I turn into a crazy person! I was telling DH "let's go home I'm done!"
pomegranate / 3980 posts
@Mrs.Panda: ugh I hate being hot too! There is no winning lol it just seems like no matter what I do I am cold
