@Alivoo01: Thanks! My birthday is the 28th lol.
@NovBaby1112: I used Sea Bands and they really helped me.
Other things that help nausea: ginger, ice cold ginger ale, acupuncture, eating a (Saltine) cracker before getting out of bed, hmmm what else?
@babybronco: I found a midwife practice today! Made an appointment for March 12. I'm already nervous!

@babybronco: yeah, some of my symptoms are starting to come and go. The feeling of starving went away this morning and I felt normal. But then this afternoon, I think I noticed I had super smell. Oh, and then the hunger came back and I had to figure out what to eat. I bring a bag full of snacks everyday (in addition to lunch).

@glimmersnaps: glad to see someone use accupunture. I've been using it for the past 2 years to get pregnant and I'm happy that I can continue treatment now that I'm pregnant. I will see her next week and will ask her to treat the fatigued I'm having.

@JessKas: @glimmersnaps: Welcome to Oct! I'll add you guys to the list in the morning.

Ugh nausea woke me up at 5:30 and I've been throwing up ever since. I never had this with dd so it's so foreign. I hope I'm okay at work??? I'm a teacher so it would be super awkward and difficult to throw up in peace!!

@Charm54: I'm sorry! The same thing happened to me last week. Hope you are feeling okay soon- it passed quickly for me.
squash / 13764 posts
@Charm54: ugh sorry! Hope it passes!
Uuugh 3 weeks until my first appt and I feel like the time will pass so slowly Anyone else feeling really nervous that their first appt is so far away?
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@hilsy85: the waiting does suck...I try to just go by weekly milestones instead of thinking about how far away it is. Right after I made my appt it seemed so far away, but I'm More than halfway there now. Hoping it goes quickly for you! If you start getting really anxious maybe call your OB and see if they can see you sooner?
squash / 13764 posts
@NovBaby1112: my Ob said she would see me sooner (at 6 weeks or so) if I really wanted to, but she really recommends waiting, just so you can see more. Also, I think even if i had an appt at 6 weeks, I still wouldn't relax until after my 8 week appt (if then), since if I had gone at 6 weeks last time, everything prob would have looked fine...so now I need to get past that point! I need to think of more milestones, and keep myself busy. At least this is a long weekend coming up!
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@hilsy85: that's true, that makes sense that the better outcome at 8 vs 6 weeks. Hoping it goes by super quickly for you! Excited for the long weekend as well

@hilsy85: I know what you mean! I have two weeks until my ultrasound and it feels so far away.
@NovBaby1112: I just ordered a pack of sea bands so I'll let you know if they work! My morning sickness takes the form of vertigo and wooziness more than throwing up, so I'm thinking the sea bands might help since what I have really feels just like motion sickness. Right now the only thing that helps is drinking gallons of water and chewing fruit flavored gum. Pregnancy is so weird.

@mrsjenbug: Yes on the exhaustion!! Last night, I crawled into bed at 8, and kept DS near me. Thank goodness he's older now and can climb up and down my bed with ease.
@Charm54: Boo on morning sickness! Hope it's nice to you while you're at work.
@hilsy85: OMG!! YES!!! My first appt isn't until 3/2, but I made it last week so it'll be almost a full month by the time I'm seen. Ahhh!

@hilsy85: ugh yes. My Obgyn appointment is March 5! I have an appointment with my primary next Tuesday for something else but I'm going to sweet talk him into checking me out.

@bluestriped bee: I'm blessed to work from home. I have super human taste it seems right now. Spicy foods seem spicier and my z-up taste like I imagine lemon pledge would taste---and I'm ok with that. Pregnancy is super weird. I slept 9.5 hrs last night and I'm still tired.
Also, still craving bananas. I think I ate 4 yesterday. I'm going to give birth to a Monkey....

Morning sickness is no joke! I hate feeling hungry and queasy at the same time. I haven't found anything that settles my stomach yet. I tried sprite but it tasted too sweet. The bubbles were nice though. Has anyone tried preggie pops before?
I'm craving spicy, tart, and sour foods. I'm not liking meat unless it's a very small amount.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@babybronco: LOL! A monkey!! Haha, you're hilarious!
@Leialou: Sorry about your morning sickness. Try maybe ginger ale or ginger candy?

@Leialou: I'm so sorry about the morning sickness. I haven't had that yet. But i did wake up this morning starving. Thankfully, I had a banana on my night stand. Have you tried eating before your feet touch the ground? I read that can help.
My only symptoms today are tender boobs and I'M EXHAUSTED. I just want to nap. I think my tiny boobs are going to enjoy pregnancy. I'm already filling out a bra that was saggy before!

@bluestriped bee: thanks for keeping the list updated! My next appointment is actually 3/4 for an ultrasound. Don't make me wait any longer than I already have to
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@jodyblair: I have you up there for 3/4, but I have you up there again for b/w on 3/9. Should I remove the 3/9 appt?
kiwi / 611 posts
@bluestriped bee: Oh I didn't even notice that! Yup, no appointment on 3/9

@Leialou: I had terrible morning sickness with my daughter and bubbly water mixed with a little lemonade or ginger juice helped a lot. So did any kind of hard candy. Never tried the Preggie pops though! I went through a ton of hard ginger candies.
kiwi / 611 posts
@Leialou: I used preggie pops when I was pregnant with my son. I don't think they're much different than hard candy, but they seemed to help that queasy feeling. I never really had much morning sickness though.
grapefruit / 4066 posts
So excited for all of the appointments in the upcoming weeks!
@Leialou: that feeling is the worst- queasy but hungry and nothing sounding good.
Today though I was craving a hot dog. Like an amazing hot dog with all the fixins. Didn't get that craving fulfilled!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
There's a lot of food today at work (different departments) and I've been loving veggies and dip lately. I got a plate full of veggies. Now, I just lost my appetite for it. I'll throw it in the fridge and maybe I'll be hungry for it later.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
@Leialou: ugh I feel you. I have the weirdest food aversions (and the harder I try not to think about those foods the more I think about them) but I'm so nauseous if I don't eat. My co-teacher looked at me a bit funny today because from 8am-9am I had 2 granola bars, Gatorade, some saltines and an apple. I think she knows what's up haha
squash / 13764 posts
@babybronco: yep definitely filling out my bras more today as well!
No morning sickness (but didn't have any with LO1 and am still only 5 weeks)...

Cautiously joining! I'm excited but nervous after a miscarriage in November. I'm starting to feel a bit better because my hcg at 13dpo was 169 and today at 14dpo the test line was darker than the control, but we'll see what my numbers are like tomorrow.
Location: North of Boston
EDD: 10/22 by ovulation date.
How far along: 4 weeks
First child? Nope, DS is 18 months
First doctor appointment: tomorrow is the intake appointment with a nurse, but my first appt is March 5th with the OB when I'm 7 weeks.
Any symptoms so far? Fatigue, moodiness!, sore boobs, vivid dreams.
Who have you told? DH, and a few of my girlfriends
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@NurseDMB: welcome!! that's an awesome number for 13dpo! fX you hear great numbers tomorrow! I didn't know you were from north of Boston?! I'm also north of Boston by about 20 minutes

Morning sickness my arse. It is 9pm and I just got my first wave of nauseau. I'm trying to watch scandal!
@NurseDMB: welcome! And congrats!
kiwi / 643 posts
@NovBaby1112: thank you! Yes, I live about 45 min north of Boston in southern nh Most of my family lives in mass, though. Small world
@babybronco: thank you!

@babybronco: im sorry my nausea is worst right in the morning, and very late at night- so strange! at least at work it is fine.
Ladies I'm getting a bit worried- my hcg levels seem so low compared to everyone else on here. 54 on 12dpo and 138 on 14dpo. They were doubling okay, but just nervous bc mine are so low compared to all yours, so it makes me wonder if something is wrong! am I crazy to call my dr and ask for another beta test to make sure everything is ok?
kiwi / 643 posts
@NovBaby1112: your numbers sound great to me! There is such a huge range, but I think if it will make you feel better it wouldn't hurt to get another beta test done. I think for me it would make me go crazy, because then I would obsess about the numbers. But really, 138 sounds really good for 14dpo!
squash / 13764 posts
@NovBaby1112: ummm I totally want to do the same thing! I'm also nervous because my progesterone was basically the exact same from 12-14 dpo and I"m just so nervous that it has dropped, and that something is wrong and I just don't know it yet. I am thinking of going into the office next week...
That being said, I think your betas were fine! The doubling is what counts.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@NovBaby1112: on betabase the median level for 12dpo is 47 and 14dpo is 129. Yours were higher than the average. That's good! I totally understand being nervous. I'm nervous too. I don't know if I'll ever completely relax about it. At least our ultrasounds are next week!
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@NurseDMB: thank you...you're right that there's such a big range, it just makes me nervous I am on the low end compared to everyone!
@hilsy85: lol I totally have had thoughts of calling and requesting more blood work but I'm not sure if "I'm just nervous about my levels" is a good enough reason and they will think I'm crazy! I just think my mind keeps going down these what if scenarios, and it's not good. Ugh. I think I will feel more relaxed after my first US next sat( if everything looks good of course). I don't know much about progesterone levels so no help there, are they supposed to rise like betas or stay relatively the same? Your hcg levels were super high though! I actually though twins lol when you posted yours
@Leialou: true true! Next week cannot get here fast enough! Thanks for looking that up! I guess I would feel better if mine were way higher than the median lol.
squash / 13764 posts
@NovBaby1112: haha omg twins, that scares me!! If I didn't think that Dh would think I was crazy, as well as my ob thinking I"m crazy, I would totally do it...I"m jealous your appt is so soon! how far along will you be then?
