We will find out in about 3 weeks with the Maternity21 test. We've always found out, but never this early. We have 2 boys and so I'm guessing it's another boy!

We will find out at our anatomy scan. I don't know at this point. The first trimester was so rough so I thought boy, but I'm still not sure.

Our plan is to be Team Green! We found out with DD, but we really want to wait this time.

I'm hoping we'll find out at the NIPT testing phase. Test itself is April 5th, but results probably a week later. I'm more concerned with genetic stuff than gender, tbh. *nerves*

@jaguar: @winniebee: Yup, me three on the NIPT nervousness. We are team green though.

@dookie32: I know what you mean, though I'm processing all the after-IVF stuff in kind of a clingy way. I stopped injections before FET and still have the sharps container. Last week before moving into our new house, I finally tossed the Follistim pen, a half-used cartridge and a smidge of Lupron, And now I have extra P and E2 hanging out in a moving box that needs a new owner. I'm not normally a pack rat but maybe just slow to believe I can move on!

Have any Oct. '16 ladies done the Counsyl genetic screening test? I was freaking out because I'm a carrier for FIVE genetic diseases (my OB said most people come back as a carrier for like, two) but we found out today that DH is not a carrier for any of the same things. Phew. One less thing to worry about it (for future babies too)!

@thepicklemonster: I haven't yet. I have some concerns for genetic disorders because their is a lot of adoption in my family line and DH knows very little about his extended family.

@thepicklemonster: wow, 5! My doctor talked to me about horizon, but since this is our last baby and I think it would only stress me out, I am not going to do it.

@thepicklemonster: We did before DD when going through IF! It was to make sure we didn't have any reason why we were having our loses before we moved on to IVF

Anyone have names picked out? We've had our boy name picked for a while and I think we may have our girl name settled as of today. So excited!
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@artsyfartsy: nope. DH refuses to talk names until the second trimester. I love talking names even when we aren't expecting.
apricot / 276 posts
@artsyfartsy: We've had two names for each sex picked out for years. We just finally agreed on the middle names though. So we're done, I'm not changing them. And I love them both, which almost makes me want to try again after this baby. Hubby was supposed to get snipped but I've been putting off calling the insurance company about it. Lol

@artsyfartsy: Yes a boy will be a Jr with nickname AJ
Girl pretty sure Olivia

@artsyfartsy: Yes! Here are ours:
Girl - Aster Caroline E****
Boy - James Michael E****
I have some excellent news! My company announced today that they will be offering 12 weeks of STD AND I will be covered even though I am already pregnant! I'm so, so happy! This is a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders.

We have a boy name picked out, although no idea what we'd do for a girl!

Our ultrasound didn't go well this morning. Baby was measuring really small and no heartbeat. We are doing some lab work and another ultrasound before deciding anything though. So disappointed.

@artsyfartsy: We are still debating a boy's name (I like Theodore, hubs likes Quentin), but have a girl's name from last time -- Evelyn River.

@lilyann: Very sorry... I remember my loss at 11 weeks. Hopefully things go smoothly from this point.

@FaithFertility: So cute!!
@avivoca: Ah I love those names! And congrats! If everything goes well I'll get PAID 6 weeks maternity leave. It's not 12 but my last leave was unpaid so I'll take it!!
@lilyann: Oh no I'm so sorry.

Has anyone tried one of those boutique ultrasound places? After multiple losses, my anxiety is out of control. I called my doctor and she was willing to let me get a scan to calm my nerves, but she didn't know if they'd be able to squeeze me in. It's difficult to make an appt within 2 weeks. I didn't want to take a slot from someone who might really need it, so I declined. But my friend knows a place that does a scan and records the heartbeat for you for only $50. But I guess I feel weird about going. I'm sure my doctor would roll her eyes if she knew I was thinking of going.

@MrsRcCar: my DH is the same I convinced him to let me go through my list of names with him, and of course he shot down all my favorites
We had our NT scan today...everything looked good and it was fun to see baby wiggling around. We're telling DH's parents tomorrow and my extended family on Easter

@KrzyRiver: I haven't but I've heard (via hellobee) that they refuse to "diagnose" whatever that means! I'm guessing that if there is an issue with size or viability maybe they can't really comment? Are you scheduled for an ultrasound anytime soon? I forget, when was your last one? With my first, I had a freak out around 16 weeks and got a same day US off schedule (I'd had a loss and was just worried). This time my OB did one at 7 and will do one at 9, because I have a hx of repeat losses. I'll then get one at 13-14 weeks. It's tough having experienced losses, there's just no ever resting easy.

@avivoca: that's great about maternity leave. I am part time now and I'm pretty sure I won't have any paid leave; I should probably check since my dad is my boss
