@sslm: I'm sorry you are feeling so worried. It's understandable. I hope everything checks out ok at your next appointment. Hang in there.

@sslm - you saw a heartbeat! that's great! glad you have a follow up to check on things.
I have a little update as well... this morning i had a little bit of spotting and freaked (just because last weekend i had a little as well) so they had me come in for an ultrasound to make sure all was well.
luckily, it was! we saw the heartbeat (so exciting) and the Doc said everything looked perfect.... I wasn't sure about my dates and they confirmed i'm 6w2d today. I knew I was wrong... I thought I was 7 weeks -- but I have a later ovulation date so that totally makes sense.
feel SO much better now - i feel like i've been worrying for weeks...

How's everyone feeling? I threw up my breakfast this morning. ick. I think it's safe to say M/S has hit me. I have an U/S tomorrow morning! I can't wait!
squash / 13764 posts
@mrskc: I'm jealous! (Is that weird? Probably, lol). I still have really had no symptoms besides sore boobs (and sometimes I feel like they've gotten less sore) and I'm kind of freaking out!! let us know how your appointment goes--mine isn't until next Friday
@hellobeeboston: so did that move back your due date as well?
honeydew / 7235 posts
@hilsy85: hey -- yes, due date is October 24th! (7 weeks tomorrow)
still spotting a little off & on - hate it..... and i am definitely feeling nauseous now - especially in the morning and evening. Middle of day is OK, but in the morning I can barely stomach toast.
bananas / 9357 posts
@hilsy85: Not weird. I was jealous of other ladies and their M/S. They do say 1 in 4 don't get morning sickness. You could be a lucky one or it just hasn't hit yet.
@hellobeeboston: Spotting would have me so worried. But you saw a heartbeat so that is great news. My due date is Oct 25th! We'll see if that changes after my U/S tomorrow.
honeydew / 7235 posts
@hilsy85: haha remember a while back I asked why my EDD was earlier? I thought we should be the same, and now it is!
@mrskc: let us know how your u/s goes tomorrow! exciting!

I'm at 9w3d today and I think my morning sickness is subsiding. The weird sympton that I have now is that my appetite has totally dropped. Dinners that I used to fix, I can only eat 1/2 of now. Is anyone else having that? I literally feel like no more food can fit. I know this happens later on, but wasn't expecting it now.
So excited for ya'll going in for your U/S soon! It's so much fun :o)
Oh, I told my boss yesterday about the pregnancy. It was starting to stress me out. Feel much better now. Still not announcing to the office until a few more weeks.

@hilsy85: I also feel like there are times when "the girls" are much less sore, but then sometimes they get worse in the evenings, so it's more reassuring. I'm 6weeks, 3 days and also have been wondering where the nausea is, but I'm now just starting to feel a little queasy and finding my normal foods a bit unappetizing.
squash / 13764 posts
@CarrieLouWho: I think that's normal actually--your uterus doubles in size by 7 weeks, so you figure it's even bigger by 9, and taking up more room, which leaves less room for your stomach!

@sslm: The fact that you saw a heartbeat is SO reassuring I hope that your next appt calms your fears...I can't believe they couldn't get you in sooner but everything will be okay!
Still bloated over here, still nauseous and my boobs have taken on a life of their own. My sister and I were trying on some dresses on Saturday and her jaw about hit the floor when she saw these monstrosities!

@Running Elley: thanks. I know the heart beat is positive but man, dr google is just awful.
I wanted to let everyone know I'm still here, just not really posting as I go from pessimistic to optimistic multiple times a day!!!
I'm thinking of you all though

@SSLM - thinking about you and hoping and praying for the best!!!

@sslm: That's why I haven't been posting a ton too. Being in limbo stinks!
ETA: I wanted to tell you too, I tested positive at 3 weeks 1 day so it's very possible I'm positive of my O date too.

I had my U/S today! Everything looked great with the baby! I measured 6w6d which is how far along I thought I was. I saw and heard the heart beating! 133 bpm which the tech said is normal. She said the yolk sack looked great. It was amazing! Really helped me set in that I'm pregnant and there's a baby in there.

Yay @MRSKC! It is a really great feeling to see and hear the heartbeat! Glad that the appointment went well!!

@CarrieLouWho: @hellobeeboston: Thanks ladies!
@sslm: Thank you possible due date twin! I hope everything is going ok with you.

I had my U/S yesterday too! We were able to see a perfectly growing baby measuring right on time and we heard the heartbeat! The doctor found it right away and it measured at around 170bpm. It was amazing! 7w5d today!

Yay @Running Elley!!! Great news!
Question for those that have had your U/S... did your doc talk to you about doing the Nuchal translucency screening? If so, are you doing it? Mine is scheduled for 3/27, I'll be at 12w4d at that point. Just curious...
honeydew / 7235 posts
@Running Elley: yay! great news!!
@CarrieLouWho: my doc said we would schedule it when I'm around 12 to 12.5 weeks.... I have an appt with her on April 4th, where I'll be 11 weeks exactly, not sure if I'll get another U/S at that point, but I'd like to!
coconut / 8681 posts
@CarrieLouWho: My doctor hasn't talked to me about it yet…I have another U/S in 2 weeks (because of my past history my doctor wants to make sure that everything is progressing well and keep a close eye on us) and I'm pretty sure he'll talk to me about it then. I'll be almost 10 weeks at that point.

I had an U/S Monday where the baby was growing right on schedule. Heartrate of 173. Unfortnately they discovered a softball size cyst on my right ovary, so I will be getting more U/S to monitor that and hopefully it will go down. Otherwise there is a chance of surgery at 20 weeks to drain it.
bananas / 9357 posts
@CarrieLouWho: My doc hasn't talked about it yet. I have an appointment in a few weeks, and I'll ask about it then. I'll be 10 weeks at that point.
@jessiejo17: I'm glad everything is ok with the baby! I hope your cyst goes down.
This may be a stupid question, but what's the NT scan for? Do all pregnant women get it?
squash / 13764 posts
@mrskc: so glad you had a good appt! I think the NT scan is to check the odds for abnormalities...like they do some measurements and can give you the odds that the baby has Down Syndrome, for instance. I'm not sure what else it's for--I guess they get other measurements to make sure growth is normal and all that.
@jessiejo17: yikes! Hope the cyst goes away on its own. @Running Elley: great news!!
coconut / 8681 posts
@mrskc: It's a scan that's usually done between 11 and 14 weeks to check to make sure that everything is growing correctly and to check for markers for Down's Syndrome and some other possible disorders. I believe that you can (and a lot of women do) choose to opt out of the scan because there are a lot of instances where people have gotten false positives for something like down's. In the cases where people decline they usually are prepared to deal with the LO coming with whatever it may and would rather find out when they can tell for sure, after the baby is born, without having to worry about a wrong test result.
@jessiejo17: Oh yikes! I'm glad that your baby is growing well and I really hope that the cyst issue just resolves itself naturally!
@hilsy85: Thanks! Your appt is coming up!!! Do you know if you'll have an U/S then?
bananas / 9357 posts
@hilsy85: @Running Elley: Thanks ladies! Are you guys planning to get one? I think I might want it just so I can see my baby again before the 20 week scan.
persimmon / 1408 posts
Yeah, for the NT test, I was kind of not wanting to get it b/c of the issues with false positives. Ultimately hubs & I talked about and decided that if there was an issue we'd rather know and be prepared. I am concerned that if something comes back positive for one of the conditions ( by the way, the conditions are down syndrome, trisomy 18 and open neural tube defects), that I will be a wreck. Is it better to be a wreck early on and prepare yourself, or blissfully wait and then be surprised at delivery?
It's such a hard call!!! I am glad that we'll get another u/s though!
squash / 13764 posts
@mrskc: yup we're definitely getting it.
@Running Elley: I better have an u/s then!!! I've been waiting on pins and needles for weeks so I can see/hear SOMETHING! lol
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
Hey ladies! I have a sort-of update on me. I had some spotting this evening so we decided to go to the ER. The doctor was kind of doom and gloom at first, but then she pulled out a pretty crappy looking u/s machine and found the baby with transabdominal! She said she was no expert but thinks she saw a strong hb. We're going to the u/s clinic tomorrow for a better look. Cross your fingers for us
persimmon / 1408 posts
Will be thinking about you @SSLM! Hoping that what the ER saw is a great sign!!!

@sslm: That sounds like great news. Thinking about you. Let us know how the U/S goes. I hope you hear a nice strong heartbeat!

Wasn't good guys. We lost the baby at 6w2d they figure. I won't be around for a while but I hope everyone on here has happy and healthy pregnancies. I'll be lurking!

@sslm: My heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry. *BIG HUGS* I've had two MC's myself and it's not easy. There are lots of women on here who have experience MC and I hope you can find some support. We're here for you.
persimmon / 1408 posts
@SSLM - So, so, so sorry to hear your news. Agreed that hugs are sent out to you. Take care of yourself. We are definitely here for you!!!
