Just saying hi! I will probably pop in over here a little bit because I am due August 28, so I could very well be a September mom! This is my first and I live in Virginia. Congratulations everyone!

I have a September baby! He was born September 7th, 2012 and was due on the 2nd. I can't believe September babies are back again already. Congrats to all of you.

Ok I'm driving myself crazy here waiting for my doctor to call back, which I know is delayed because of the holidays, but my crazy self went and bought another test today to reassure myself.

Turns out I'm still pregnant. Though in my crazy frenzy I bought a digital frer and not one with a line so I couldn't see if it was darker (how's that for some crazy) so on that note I suppose I should introduce myself...

Estimated Due Date (EDD):
Sept 1? Based on the day fertility friend thinks I ovulated I should be a the end of August, but I didn't have a positive test until 19Dpo which makes me think I ovulated later. Hence the September due date. My last period was 11/1 so I'm not sure how my doctor will date me without an ultrasound.

When Did You Find Out?:
Monday 12/23

Hopefully soon. I'm waiting for them to call me back about the results of my blood test.

Another miscarriage.

Gas and peeing all the time.

We have a friend whose opens up their house every year since it is his birthday and has a nice relaxed party.

When Did You Find Out?:
It sounds weird but I've just KNOWN I was pregnant since around 2-3 dpo. Confirmed it for certain on Christmas morning!

When's Your First Appointment?:
I haven't been able to call yet (on vacation with NO cell service), but I expect it will be very quick, given my history (2 m/c's)

What kind of birth do you want?:
100% Natural, water if possible. But not a home birth. I have a family history of placental abruptions, so I need to be in a hospital for peace of mind

What You're Most Excited For:
Maybe finally having my take home baby! And maybe sharing a birthday (mine's Sep 2nd), though to be honest I'm kind of an attention whore so I'm not sure how I'll actually feel if that happens

What You're Most Scared About:
Another loss, especially another one that's not in the first couple weeks

Symptoms so far:
Nothing major (which I kind of wish wasn't the case!). Unfortunately I'm fighting a cold, so I really am not feeling anything but the cold symptoms.

Any fun plans to kick off the new year?:
We're on vacation now! Ski trip, though I don't ski. Beyond that... mostly my big plans involve starting to exercise properly and eat better.

12.25 was my first faint positive; beta done 12.27 to confirm

I'll have an u/s done at 5 weeks, I think, then against at 7 or 8 to check for a heartbeat.

Weighing heavily toward a RCS, but considering a VBAC..

A healthy baby

miscarriage

Symptoms so far:
Sore/full breasts, all day nausea, exhaustion and bloating.

Nope! Maybe have dinner with my parents (it's my dads bday..) and share the news.

@brownbear: I don't like digis because I got a false negative (after a positive) last time that freaked me out. That being said, I'd probably stick with them if I were you. Watching lines and worrying if they don't get darker is rough.

I'm sure mr.bee will let us know if it's not allowed. You definitely can't just link to your own stuff in a random post, but since you asked maybe it'd be okay? I hope it is. I'm with you; love reading pregnancy blogs!

September babies already!? So wonderful. I'm due now, but I was born in September, and I have to say, it's a great month to have a birthday. Best wishes to you mamas!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: It's nice to have those concrete examples from you. I KNOW not darkening rapidly isn't terrible, but having something a little more specific to relate to is nice. (And yes, I did quit testing. )

I want a midwife this time - DH is not so keen on the idea. This question is one we are hotly debating. My first pregnancy and delivery were extremely uneventful with an OB - hoping I can find some good info in writing that will sway DH toward midwife.

First appointment?
TBD - I assume around week 8.

What kind of birth do you want?:
In an ideal world , I will have another pain-med-free hospital birth. Would LOVE not to have to be induced two weeks late.

What You're Most Excited For:
Everything! New baby snuggles, watching my first become a big brother, getting to know a brand new little person that we will love so much.

What You're Most Scared About:
miscarriage, multiples, having two kids!

Symptoms so far:
Weepy over silly nonsense, peeing a ton, almost sore boobs

My parents are in town so we stay-cationed in a hotel last night. On NYE proper, we are just going to cook a gourmet meal at home

@Kate6214: My logic is that while I admit, I'm worried about another loss, I do believe we'll have a baby eventually. So the things I buy aren't for THIS baby, they're for our eventual baby, whether it's this one or a future one. It helps me to feel less scared.

@Kate6214: I am definitely using that one a lot. I keep wanting to test again. But i keep reminding myself that a line that wasn't dark "enough" would be far more disheartening than a dark one would be a relief. AF didn't show, I had multiple positive tests, so until I have reason to believe otherwise, today I am pregnant. And I can be excited about that. Being happy now won't make a loss later any worse, but if things go well I won't get these early weeks back so I'm not wasting them worrying. Mostly.

@Mrs. Confetti: I have waves of nausea. On Friday, I could hardly eat. On Saturday I was a bottomless pit. Today, I hate food again.

With Chloe I had consistent all day nausea until I was 16 weeks pregnant.
