@gingerbebe: Ah! I wonder if I should cancel and redo my order? I ordered the regular coobie, not the full size. Crap.
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
@Littlebit: Yeah I went with the full size ones bc they are supposed to fit from 38A to 42D-DD.
nectarine / 2932 posts
@gingerbebe: Poop. I think I'm going to wait for them to get here and then decide if I need to send them back for the full size ones. The reason I wanted the regular was because I really like the hooks in the fronts (for breastfeeding hopefully). The full size only has a couple (crazy) colors with that option, and I only wear black or nude bras.
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
@Littlebit: Are we looking at the same bras? Coobie bras don't have any hooks or closures!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@gingerbebe: I think so?! The regular coobie's have hooks in the front connecting the strap to the bra:
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
@Littlebit: OHHHH I see what you're talking about. Yeah I would never have even noticed that. For what its worth, the bras are super stretchy so I feel like I could whip out my boob without unhooking it.

@psw27: After reading here also it kind of scared me, so I emailed her. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/cholestasis-of-pregnancy/basics/preparing-for-your-appointment/con-20032985

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @gingerbebe: Thanks, me too! I wish I could go in now, but she doesn't want me to have had anything to eat or drink before.

@Boogs: good luck!! Thinking about you and hoping it's nothing serious!

@psw27: @tequiero21: First thing tomorrow morning. I'm kinda scared. At the same time, don't want her to think I'm a crazy lady if it's nothing.

@boogs let us know how it goes. For your and lo's sake I hope you are the crazy lady and it is nothing (and no one will think you are crazy, pregnancy is nerve wracking!)

@boogs: Thinking of you! I feel like it's always better to have things checked out, and at the very least hopefully you'll get some relief from your itching.
@gingerbebe: @littlebit: I'm totally jumping on the coobie bra bandwagon. EVERYTHING seems to dig into my skin these days and I feel like my band size has increased. I don't even know what bra size I am these days...

@psw27: @Pancakes: @tequiero21: Thank you! Hopefully I will quickly have answers.

@Littlebit: Thanks for asking. No results yet, still waiting. Also go hit with the knowledge that we have to pay far more, like thousands, than we realized for health care costs this year and will likely hit our max with the birth. If there was ever a time I needed a drink...or a huge ice cream sundae! lol

@boogs when will you find out? Ugh I hate insurance surprises! Ice cream sounds amazing

Two confessions:
1. I've been feeling so overwhelmed and anxious lately. DH told me to do nothing but relax this weekend. He took care of everything and the only responsibility I had was enjoying the outdoors and playing with my peanut. LOVE.
2. I didn't realize how often I was eating nachos until DH went to get us hoagies last night and the girl gave him the wrong order.... Nachos. She laughed and said she figured his wife was pregnant and switched up her cravings. Super fat girl over here, guys. I'm pretty embarrassed.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Aw your hubs sounds awesome! And no judgement about the cravings. My cravings come in waves and I'll eat one thing for several days until I'm sick of it and then I'm onto the next thing!
@Boogs: Insurance dramz is the worst! Hoping you get results soon!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@psw27: I have no idea. I'm hoping tomorrow, dying to know. But, not sure hopeful since it's a Sunday so probably by Monday at the latest is my guess. Got no ice cream and can't sleep from itchiness. Big thumbs down!
@gingerbebe: It's so stressful. This obamacare changed our plan so much and it feels so unfair since we have paid so much our whole lives and almost never go to the doctor, and definitely never have for anything major other than giving birth.
@Mrs. Jump Rope: Lol that's awesome! And now I want nachos.

Sorry to be mia so much! I clicked on a site (that I've been to before, and purchased from) last weekend, and it had apparently been hacked because it redirected to some spam site and gave us a virus. DH fixed it (he's a computer guy, thankfully), but it made me leery of going on the computer a bit. Plus, I've found that I get a lot more done if I just don't turn on the computer. Once it's on, I waste hours on it.
Anyway, thanks for those who asked how I was doing. I wound up not calling anyone, since my appointment is tomorrow with the new OB, and overall things have settled down. I did wind up having more BH's (back down to under 2-3 minutes apart) at the grocery store, but I hadn't had enough water and sitting down and drinking some fixed it. Otherwise I've minimized my time on my feet and have been fine. I'm guessing they'll tell me to do just that tomorrow.
Glucose screening tomorrow, woohoo. Can anyone tell me more exactly what that will entail? I thought they'd call and tell me at least whether or not to eat anything before, or *something* but they haven't.
Hope everyone is doing well, and @Boogs, hope to hear back from you soon on results!

Also, those who have done this before, were you able to tell when baby flipped out of breech (if they ever did)? She's kicking me WAY higher lately, and a lot less (maybe none? I don't remember) of the cervix/bladder kicks. So maybe she flipped?
And lastly, going to try the coobie bras too. I was a 34C pre-pregnancy, and am up past DD now, so I'm trying the larger size. Hoping my rib cage has expanded or something, so that the fact that they start at 38 won't be a huge deal. I'll report back!

@torchwood I had my glucose test last week. They advised me not to eat anything with too many starches, sugars or carbs for lunch (my appointment was at 4) or eat within 2 hours of the appointment. (I accidentally ate about an hour and a half before, but it all worked out.)
When I got there, I went to the lab after checking in and they handed me a cup of 12 oz. (it might have been 16) of this orange sugary drink. To me, it tasted like flat orange soda. I didn't think it was that bad until I got to the end of it. Mostly, I was just full cause its a lot of liquid to take in at once. I got my blood taken an hour later and luckily I passed. Good luck!

@psw27: Thanks! I always feel better going into these things with some idea what to expect.

@Torchwood: I had my glucose test last Saturday. I was told not to fast but to also not over-do it, ie eat cake for bfast. I failed the test after an empty stomach (I don't normally eat bfast) and only havig coffee and water before the test.
Chloe kicked me high and was breech. She had her head under my right rib, bum over my cervix and legs under my right rib. Her face was facing my left side.
This baby is the same in kicking style/location. Every time I check her heart it's above my belly button.

@Littlebit: @psw27: @Pancakes: @Mrs. Jump Rope: @Torchwood:
All results are good! She thinks maybe it's just dry skin and is having me try a certain lotion to see if it helps. Thanks so much for thinking if me!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@Torchwood: I'm surprised they didn't tell you! Last time they wanted me to fast overnight, so I went in first thing in the morning and had what reminded me of flat orange soda. Super sweet, it just helped to chug it. I got super jittery and all around not great feeling from it. I learned to next time have a sandwich or something to eat as soon as I walked out of there. Also, I learned after failing and having to do the 3 hour to watch the carbs/sugars the day before. Maybe you can ask your doctor about whether or not they want you to fast?

@boogs awesome news! Phew!
@torchwood oh and what @boogs said - eat something after. I felt like crap and crashed hard afterwards! Some trail mix brought me back to life! And drink water too.
nectarine / 2180 posts
@torchwood: my glucose test was in the afternoon last time and I think I screwed up by eating fruit beforehand...and I ended up having to take the 3-hour test TWICE (because I couldn't keep it down the first time....*shudder*). This time I'm with a different practice and I have just been advised no sugar or fruit juice beforehand (and my appt is first thing in the morning so it shouldn't be a big deal).
@boogs: soooo glad it was just dry skin! I was honestly really freaked out for you.
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@psw27: @Pancakes: Thanks! I was worried myself because they usually brush stuff off so when she was concerned herself it freaked me out. I see her next week, so she can take a look, but the weird thing is that my skin doesn't seem any drier than normal. Either way, gonna drench myself in the lotion she told me to get to see if it makes a difference.
@psw27: Agreed, protein did me wonders after the glucose!
@Pancakes: It's too bad they don't warn us about our diets before we take the test. Yeah it seems like common sense, but for someone who has never taken the test we would have no reason to automatically think a piece of fruit would be a bad thing. P.S. Your name and avatar makes me want pancakes super badly right now lol.

@Boogs: glad all is well! What a relief!
@Torchwood: hope u called them! Mine gave me instructions. No food 3 hours before. Except water. My last one, I can't recall, but I was sooooo hungry, I had a bite of a chocolate croissant like 15 minutes before. Luckily I passed. Phew.
