@FreckledFox: it's orange/red...mostly when wiping. One clot earlier today. No cramping or discomfort. Hoping it's all ok!

No maternity pants for me...yet. But I am wearing yoga pants to work today because my boss is out of the office

@shortiecake: If it's only when wiping, I think you're in the clear! But it's definitely scary, especially when you don't feel super confident about the midwife visit.

    Thanks to everyone else!

Had my first appointment today - I love our family doc! He will follow me until 28 weeks then transfer me to my OB, as he did with LO1. He sent for a beta and did a pelvic exam and said "yup, definitely pregnant!" He said he's pretty sure there's just one in there because I'm not showing at all yet and have pretty well zero nausea
Next appt with doctor is March 11, but will have US#1 probably at the end of February or first of March.
We are off to Mexico in the AM - bringing LO and meeting my ILs there. DD is going to wear her botched "only child expiring" shirt when they meet us at the airport! It's been doctored up with an address label!

@2PeasinaPod: they were shocked and so excited! We are having a great holiday with them in Mexico, but I am missing the lovely drinks!

Pregnancy dreams are in full swing here - last night's was an awful nightmare that could be the plot of a horror movie.

@Ocean girl: I've been having some crazy dreams too lately. I totally forgot that it's a symptom of pregnancy and was kinda discouraged about a lack of symptoms.

    @Ocean girl: So sweet!

@Ocean girl: @ChelseaRose: I also forgot that weird dreams were a symptom. That explains my awful dreams the last few nights.

I haven't been having weird dreams but every night since 2 days before BFP I have been up at 3/3:30/4 or so for an hour. So annoying!!

Some nausea started for me this weekend. Just an all day lingering thing. Much better when I eat. And better when I'm not in the house and busy. This was around the same time with my first I had some nausea (7 weeks), and hoping like with my first it doesn't stick around for long!

@shortiecake: I'm so sorry my thoughts are with you.
@Ocean girl: Good luck with the reveal!!

I had more spotting over the weekend, but my doctor is not concerned yet. I hate this. Ugh.

Just had my dating ultrasound - due Sept 24.

@FreckledFox: Darn spotting! Still thinking of you and hoping it is nothing to worry about, but geez, can't it just go away? As if anyone needs that stress on top of how stressful it already is to be pregnant!

  21. 2PeasinaPod

    pomelo / 5524 posts

@FreckledFox: Sorry to hear that the bleeding is still continuing. I'm hoping this is just nothing to worry about and all is A-OK at your ultrasound!

@hellobeeboston: I threw up for the first time this morning. I tend to gag when I brush my teeth and just couldn't stop it this morning. Totally gross.

@sera_87: So fun! I think we'll be due within a day of each other. I initially thought I would be due on 9/24, but doc thinks 9/25. She said my OB will officially set my due date when I transfer over to there from my RE.

  22. FreckledFox

    grape / 78 posts

    @sera_87: Yay sept 24!

@mrscobee: Thank you very much. I'm frustrated to see it. My doctor kept saying how it's normal to spot and as long I wasn't hemmoraging blood, then we're good. But that's so hard!

@2PeasinaPod: Thank you!! Sorry about the sickness! Ugh!

So I have been lucky to hardly have any nausea at all. But this morning at work, about 10 minutes ago, I went to the bathroom and threw up / dry heaved like 10 times. This has only happened to me one other morning, like 5 days ago, and then I am fine. No other nausea, but some food aversions. Anyone else have nausea come and go like this?

  25. 2PeasinaPod

    pomelo / 5524 posts

@mrscobee: Yes! Yesterday, I clearly had issues with brushing my teeth, and today, totally fine. But right now, I feel like I could throw up every last bit of my breakfast.

  26. mrscobee

    clementine / 903 posts

@2PeasinaPod: I guess we should be thankful we have some moments of relief instead of being nauseous 24/7!? I just think it is weird that it comes and goes so fast. Most people I know either feel crappy all the time, or good all the time... I hope your current nauseous feeling goes away soon!

  27. hellobeeboston

    honeydew / 7235 posts

@mrscobee: ugh I almost threw up this morning. I ran to the toilet but managed to keep it down. Ugh. I was on the train commuting in and wasn't feeling great. But ate a bag of Lays Potato chips which helps. So sad. Haha, my friend was like, really? Chips at 8:30 am.

This nausea is worse than last time for me. I hope it goes away in a few weeks!! But yes, comes and goes!!

@2PeasinaPod: I thought of you brushing my teeth this morning and tried not to hurl.

  28. FreckledFox

    grape / 78 posts

@mrscobee: Oh no! Sorry about the sudden nausea! That happened to me one time when I didn't eat lunch fast enough and my stomach was empty!

  29. busylizzy111

ugh, so sorry to hear about your nausea ladies.
I had my first doctor's appointment today and everything was fine! We saw the baby right away, with a strong heartbeat. And it was only one (my husband kept talking about twins)
They didn't really listen to my EDD calculations based on ovulation (Sept 14), so for now they have me on record with the calculation based on LMP: Sept 12. Fine with me.
I am so relieved... I was so worried.

@mrscobee: @hellobeeboston: Good lord...today is my worst day. I know it's because I haven't eaten much, but who the heck wants to eat something when they constantly feel like they want to hurl?? And that cracks me up about the Lays Potato Chips. Gotta do what you gotta do, right?

@2PeasinaPod: I am sorry your day has been so bad! I hope tomorrow is a better one. Hasn't been a great day for me too, but felt much better after I threw up. Just still feeling a little queasy and light headed, which is worse than usual, but not too bad in grand scheme of things.

Is anyone doing the early MaterniT21 or Panorama test or something similar? I am 10 weeks tomorrow and planning to do Panorama. So excited to find out gender, but super nervous and praying for healthy results!

  37. ChelseaRose

    persimmon / 1161 posts

@mrscobee: I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with them at all. They were either not offered when I was pregnant with my son three years ago or not that common. My appointment isn't until next month, so I guess I'll ask then.

  38. FreckledFox

    grape / 78 posts

@mrscobee: I'd like to do that test, but I don't know if my doctor offers it!

  39. mrscobee

    clementine / 903 posts

@ChelseaRose: they have become much more common over past 3 years... Usually only offered and covered by insurance if you are over 35, have a history or something in family, or if something is seen on ultrasound... I don't have any of these factors but my dr has started offering it to everyone including low risk people. First I was mad that they offered it b/c it makes you run through all these scary what if scenarios in your mind, even if unlikely. But after much thought and research, I decided I am just going to take the blood test and hopefully I will just find out gender and that everything is okay! Such an individual decision though!
@FreckledFox: if you want to do it I would just ask them. Some doctors like mine will just give it to anyone, but some will discourage if you aren't high risk... I am still not sure my insurance will cover it but most it will cost will be $1,000, which will be worth it for me if I can gain peace of mind...

Thanks! I was a bit disappointed with the pic as the pic on the screen was so much clearer - I had to reassure hubby that baby will become more beautiful over time
I forgot to tell you: the doc said I should make two dentist appointments, one now and one when I am 6 months. Have you heard of this? I have just been in Nov, but ok, I made one for next week. Doctor wants to make sure that there are no inflammation etc in the body.
