@Applesandbananas: Thank you! I don't have Gold anymore so I don't post too many pictures of her since there are so few non-Gold picture threads.

@maddyz: Glad that you had a friend that could help you out! Hope everyone in your house feels better! The stomach bug that's going around is no joke.
@Applesandbananas: I'm still terribly nauseous, too. Lost another 1 lb because of it. I've been on Diclegis a week but I think it's time to move to something stronger. I'm going to ask my OB if I can get some Zofran. I can't keep going on like this.

@MrsKoala: we have such a small group compared to the August boards!! I occasionally pop in over there to get a sneak peek of what's to come (sounds like round ligament pain, oh boy!) and that is a big group!!

@avivoca: I'm going to try to figure out how to do the weeks/days calculator that the August Moms have going on. I might post again in a bit! I have a bit of a break between work appointments to mess around with a formula.

@MrsKoala: I haven't gotten on the scale lately, I'm not sure where I'm at. I hope the zofran helps!!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Applesandbananas: I only hopped on the scale today because I have had a rough week and I knew that my face looked skinnier and yep, lost more weight.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Applesandbananas: I got on the scale yesterday at the Dr.'s office and I've gained two pounds in three weeks. I started out about 10 pounds heavier than last time, so I need to reign it in.

@MrsKoala: we could do a roll call with how far we are along as of today? I noticed there are a few folks on the list we hadn't heard from lately
I'm on my phone, so it's kind of a PITA for me to tag several folks at once (haha hence my annoying billions of posts one right after another, sorry guys!) but maybe somebody could tag everyone on the list and see if we can get a roll call

@MrsKoala: I hope you feel better soon!!
I'm having a bagel for lunch lol #allthecarbs

@Applesandbananas: I'll try to do it since I'm on a computer and I kind of love the organization factor.

@Applesandbananas: I'll join the carb train. I'm having a baked potato, corn, carrots, and broccoli (all of it leftovers from dinners this week).

@MrsKoala: I'm still here. I had my second OB appointment on Monday and everything looks on target. We'll definitely find out the sex as soon as we can. Our son has started telling everyone at daycare so I'm getting a lot of comments and congrats. I haven't told them yet that the new baby won't be at the same daycare. Overall I haven't been as sick this time around but still pretty crappy feeling in general. And super tired. Here's hoping it gets better soon.

Anyone contemplating gear yet?
There are a couple of consignment sales coming up and I'm trying to decide what we actually need. We didn't keep a ton from LO1, because we were thinking we were one and done until this September, we changed our minds lol and then changed our minds again and then... Life is funny sometimes
I found a Diono radian on sale on Woot and bought that, DH doesn't drive LO much so I figured baby could go in that seat in his car and a bucket in mine, but that's all lol.
I need a stroller, preferably a snap n go kind of thing that also has a seat for after they outgrow the bucket, with a board or bench seat for my toddler.
A bucket seat and base
A changing pad and covers
A rock n play
Diapers/wipes
Nose sucker
Lanolin
Bottles
Breastmilk bags
Clothes!
I can't think of much else, maybe a new crib mattress and crib sheets and some A&A blankets!
Not much that I could/would get at a consignment sale though, except maybe the stroller and some clothes!

@Applesandbananas: We are pretty good on baby gear. I kept a bunch from when H was small. We will need new sheets if this is a boy, but all of our gear is gender neutral. I will need a double jogging stroller though. Mostly what I need is big kid gear!
- twin bed for H
- twin bedding
- new glider
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Applesandbananas: I will change that on my spreadsheet, thanks!
@pelikila: Glad to see you are still around and that you haven't been as sick this time! Hopefully, the generally crappiness will go away once you are in the second trimester! Are you keeping your son at the same daycare and just having the baby in a different one or are you moving them both? I haven't yet told my son's daycare yet but I probably should soon so that I can be sure I get a spot!
pomegranate / 3845 posts
@avivoca: we actually found some awesome twin beds on Amazon, it was great, free delivery right to our door!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Applesandbananas: Since we were TG the first time, all of our stuff is neutral and we'll just reuse it. We do need furniture for DS so that we can move the crib and changing table to the room for the baby but MIL is graciously offering to get that for us. The only other thing I contemplate is whether I need a double stroller or not. I can't quite decide whether I can get by with our B-Agile and babywearing or not?

@MrsKoala: Hi! I'm doing great! Just had my first trimester ultrasound yesterday! Everything looked good and the baby was stretching its arms and legs! I'll be 12 weeks on Friday! We're starting to tell more family and friends. Everyone is so excited!

@Christy412: Yay! Look at the cute baby! Isn't it amazing how quickly they go from gummy bear looking to a real baby?

@MrsKoala: Yes it's crazy! I've been very lucky, hardly any nausea at all. I can also tell I'm getting some energy back.

Hello! I'm 14 weeks today, feeling great! Nausea is almost 100% gone - wahoo! Feels like I have my life back! I had my NT scan about two weeks ago and everything looked great. The baby was moving so much, crazy that it can flip all over but I can't feel it! Hoping to schedule our anatomy test soon, can't wait to know who is in there. We went "public" on facebook this week and it was so fun to get all the warm wishes - I love nice people! Now that I am feeling better things are starting to pick up pace. Not really thinking about getting any gear yet or registering, I think I will get more serious about that stuff in May. Right now the baby's room is full of junk so I want to clear that out first!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@lmay820: So glad you are feeling good and telling people! I can't wait for anatomy scan time (in only 5-6 weeks!!). I love living vicariously through everyone who finds out. It's so much fun!

@maddyz: glad to hear you got some help! Hope the whole family is feeling better today.
@MrsKoala: thanks so much for the list! I love knowing how far along we all are. I can't even keep track of myself. Sorry you are still so sick. I lost 3 lbs from the stomach bug and haven't even gained an ounce back in almost 2 weeks. I know the babies are OK but it does make me nervous. Did you lose with your first? By this point with both of mine I had gained a couple lbs.
@Applesandbananas: yes! We need to trade in our car because it can't accommodate 3 car seats so the car is the big one! We kept most of our stuff but I think if we get a car that fits 3 across we'll need to get all new seats as well. And LO1 still loves going for walks in the stroller so we might need to find some kind of triple stroller option. I think that can wait until next spring though. So car and car seats...should be pretty affordable!
@pelikila: yay for good appointments! We showed my son the pictures from my ultrasound so now he understands there is a baby growing and it's all he talks about now. Love the sibling excitement!
@Christy412: great pic! Mine was flipping all over at our ultrasound too! So fun to watch! Glad everything looks good!
@lmay820: great update! Glad you are feeling better!

@skipra: Glad you like the list! It's nice to be able to compare! I have to adjust the formula a bit as I realized that somehow we are all one day behind what we should be but I'll play with it and see what I can do. I saved it on an excel spreadsheet so I can update with it periodically and it will automatically change. I did lose weight with my first LO (6 lbs) but gained it back by 20 weeks. In total, I gained 28 lbs I think? It ended up okay so I have to keep remembering that! It's just shocking to be down 8 at this point!
pomegranate / 3350 posts
@MrsKoala: Ah I am hoping to gain closer to 25-30lbs this time so I guess it helps to not be gaining yet? I think I gained 35 & 40 with my other two and had a hard time dropping the last 5-10. Oh and my weeks look fine on the list. I wasn't sure of my due date but it's 9/16.

Woah! There are a lot of us September mamas!
@avivoca: I know you don't have to go full-on Paleo, but my book has a ton of recipes and it is just over $10 on Amazon right now I think. I've got a bunch of free ones on my website, too. I stalk Pinterest, as well.
@Applesandbananas: I actually made an Amazon list this weekend. Not so much because I want people to buy things for us, but I just wanted to wrap my head around it. We don't need nearly as much this time. I still have our Rock'n'Play and my baby carriers and we'll use the same stroller, but I need new bases and an infant carseat because ours wasn't clicking in properly at the end there. I mostly need towels, wash cloths, bottles (and accessories), a new pump and clothes. I also really want to spring for an ear thermometer!

In case anyone is still feeling yucky, Reglan has been saving my life! I can finally function as a normal human again. I've been taking it for almost a week. You can only take it for two weeks so I am going to ask my midwife about some natural remedies to help with digestion (like maybe magnesium or metamucil) that I can take when I have to come off the Reglan.

@Christy412: What a beautiful ultrasound picture! So happy that everything is looking good for you!
@pelikila: Great to see you back around here! So sorry, though, that you've been feeling so tired... hopefully you will start to feel like yourself pretty soon.
@tlcbaby: Very glad the Reglan has helped. Isn't it amazing how something can make us feel human again? I hope you're able to come off of it easily.

@skipra: Ahh I had your due date as 9/15, which means it was correct for you. I fixed it on my spreadsheet! It definitely helps to not be gaining yet. I've often thought that the fact that I'm sick for 20 weeks in pregnancy is just my body trying to stop me from gaining 60 lbs each time!
@Periwinkle: Happy to do it! I can't wait to start adding the sex on for our babies when the anatomy scans roll around!

@MrsKoala: my son will start kindergarten this fall and we have ad him at a daycare near my work since he was 8 weeks old. We will still need before and after school care for him and I might as well try to get the two kids in the same center and realize a small cost savings (and time savings) where I can so that is my goal. Plus our current daycare has gone up over $2500 per year for infants from when my son first started and that just isn't in the budget with two needing care now.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@pelikila: Whoa that is a dramatic increase in cost! That makes a lot of sense! Have you already found a new center?
