Hello ladies, haven't been around in a while. Work and a sick toddler have kept me so busy. Can't believe we are half way! To continue with the trend of recent gender announcements we found out our lo2 will be a boy! That will make a change after having a girl last time. Happy that the baby is healthy. Anyone else expecting the gender that is different to their first baby?

@Legowife: Congrats on the boy! Exciting that you'll get to experience one of each!

@Legowife: Congratulations on your little boy!
I hope everyone is doing/feeling well. It's been a crazy while for me as I'm going through some major changes with my job. I have loved my job for quite a few years but now have a new reporting structure (temporarily) and it's put a lot of pressure on me to act in two large roles. I am stressed to say the least and feel like I am working around the clock to keep things moving. I don't think this is sustainable in the long run but I'm trying to do the best job I can in case the structure changes permanently and I would be eligible for moving into a new, higher level position. But I've missed you all and have spent tonight reading through what's been going on.

@MrsKoala: sorry that the throwing up/nausea is sticking around so long. I hope it doesn't last much longer.
@Legowife: congratulations! I'm in the same boat. I have a girl and this second will be a boy. On one hand it's great but also terrifying.

@Periwinkle: how long is the temporary situation? I was in that situation at my previous job and it felt like an on the job audition for a promotion. So stressful!

@katsupgirl: That's exactly how I feel! Like, I don't want to make a fuss and make it seem like I can't do the jobs, but at the same time, i don't want to be taken advantage of. It's a tough situation.

@Legowife: Congratulations on the boy! It seems like so many of the September mamas are having boys!
@Periwinkle: Job stress is the worst kind of stress. Are you still going on that big work trip next month? Hope everything evens out for you!

@skipra: @tlcbaby: @katsupgirl: Thanks for the commiseration! I'm having a better day today so hopefully, things might be turning the corner?

@Periwinkle: Job stress is the worst, especially when you are pregnant! I hope that things calm down soon for you.
As for me, I'm still hanging out waiting on my anatomy scan next week. I'll be 20.5 weeks. I'm electing to have my glucose tolerance test done early and if I fail, I am refusing the 3-hour test and just being treated as GD.

Woah--the Team Greens are dwindling and it looks like we have mostly little boys on the way!

@tlcbaby: Do you have a guess as to what the sex might be for you? I know Skipra thinks she's having another boy. I'm so torn! On one hand, I look just like I did the first time bump wise so I think boy but I'm soooo sick so I wonder if it might be a girl. My husband strongly thinks girl.

@tlcbaby: at least there are a few of us! I'm curious if you have any feelings either way too.
@MrsKoala: so not knowing you at all, I'd guess girl! Probably just because of how sick you've been.
LO2 has been obsessed with the idea of a sister. Like he needs to be touching my belly all the time and calling it baby sister. LO1 insists it's another boy but doesn't really seem to care much either way. I had a dream the other day we found out by gender reveal and it was a girl and I was pissed because I have a boy name that I love and couldn't use.

@MrsKoala: @MrsKoala: I have NO GUESS whatsoever. All of the old wives tales (heart rate, where it is in my uterus, etc.) say girl, but I never get any feelings one way or the other. Maybe DH and I should put down a bet on it.

@MrsKoala: @skipra: @tlcbaby: I'm extremely excited to see what you guys are having! I wish sometimes that we could go Team Green, but we are fans of knowing. If there is ever a LO 3, I definitely want to be team green.

@skipra: @tlcbaby: This is going to be interesting! I've had dreams of both boy and girl. Last time, I was pretty sure I was having a boy and was totally right so having no feeling about it at all is weird. I don't know what to think!

@avivoca: I'm pretty excited to find out what you're having next week! I love living vicariously through those who do find out.

@tlcbaby: what is the old wives tale about location in uterus? Bases on most old wives tales mine is all boy. Except i was gaining weight in my butt more than my belly.
@maddyz: omg i forgot about the leg cramps. They are so crazy painful. Not looking forward to them. Hope yours are very infrequent!

@tlcbaby: interesting! Apparently the placenta wraps around my left side and top but I only know from the 20 week scan, not earlier. So not sure if it means anything at that point? With DS1 it was definitely on the right.

@skipra: Based on this, it was correct for my first (a boy) and said this one is a girl. I have no earthly idea, though.

@MrsKoala: Thanks, re job stress. I am still planning on my trip next month so that's something that's keeping me positive for the time being. It's a ton of work to get everything ready to go (my job is the coordination of a program where I'm headed) but I am still excited. Are you still planning on your trip? If so, I am sure you're getting excited!
@avivoca: Thanks for the commiseration too

It's so exciting to see who's been finding out what they're having or staying Team Green! Even thought we found out this time through genetic testing, I have been thinking about what I might have been thinking now if we were Team Green again like last time. I was so convinced with my son that he was a boy but remember how much fun it was so guess based on the symptoms or even how I was just feeling that day. I have been wondering which way I would have been leaning if we did not know yet, based on how I've been feeling/showing, etc. I love the contemplation and am living vicariously through each of you who are still Team Green!
@avivoca: I'm so excited for you to find out next week!!!!
We actually have our anatomy scan tomorrow! I am somewhat in shock that we're half way already (20 weeks today!) and am trying to remember how the anatomy scan went last time. We were so careful about not looking too carefully as we really did not want to know the sex last time, and I wonder how it will be tomorrow now that we are ok seeing anything I am nervous but also very excited to see our little baby and check in on how he's growing and doing.

@Periwinkle: it's so tough because you feel like you can't push back on things because it looks like you can't handle it. It's good that you have the trip to look forward too.
September is the month for boys this year!

How is everyone? Hope you all had a great weekend! Anything fun happen?

@Periwinkle: It was lucky we wanted to find out, because the first thing we saw on the anatomy scan was a full potty shot. The tech put the wand on my belly and there it was. Really silly actually. It took so long to get him to turn to see the full spine, she had me upside down on the table and rolling all around.
LO1 has decided to start his days 4:30 with a small feast. It's killing me. DH is sick so I've been taking the early mornings. I have been a total waste at work today. Staring at my computer crosseyed. His nap just got great and now this....
pomegranate / 3350 posts
@maddyz: that sounds exhausting! LO2 has been giving us 5:30 wake ups the past couple weeks. And today was 4 and would only sleep more if I was holding him. What's up with these kids?
persimmon / 1270 posts
@skipra: spring air? Sometimes we can get a little more sleep together on the sofa, but not lately.
I am fading so fast....

@skipra: nothing to report from the weekend. It was nice and low-key.
I have my glucose test coming in a week or two.
@maddyz: my DD likes to wake up around 3am but thankfully goes back to sleep soon after.
I'm over the cold weather. Today was chilly for no reason. It's May! I need some sunshine and warmth.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Periwinkle: Yep, leaving in 4 weeks! I'm excited but a little apprehensive to leave my DS for so long. I've only ever been away from him for 5 days at the most. It will be really strange to be gone for 2 weeks.
@skipra: Not much going on here. It's graduation season and we have someone's graduation every weekend until the end of May. Argh! But at least DS gets to spend a lot of time outside?
