We officially told both sets of parents this weekend, both of our moms cried of course and my dad was so excited it was adorable! We were able to video 2 of the 3 announcements, the 3rd was via FaceTime. Have you started telling your parents yet? We got cards made at Hallmark that said "Great parents get promoted to Grandparents! Baby P coming May 2015"

Won't be telling mine until MUCH later. Same for DH's family. I'm getting scanned around 7 weeks and then i'm hoping for something in between that and 12/13 weeks to ease my mind...

@blackbird: I understand wanting to wait! We were headed to my hometown this past weekend with my whole family and they knew we were going through IUIs but just not this last round which is why we told everyone. I have an early US tomorrow which I think will help make it real for me

Ah that's hard to not tell anyone, then! My parents were insensitive jerks when I miscarried the first time, so they lost their privilege for all subsequent pregnancies. Plus i don't want to deal with the, "you shouldn't be doing crossfit!" comments

Regrettably we told our parents right away. As soon as I told my husband he wanted me to call my mom so he felt better about telling his own. Both of our parents are divorced, but we told our dads a few days later so our siblings and their ex-wives wouldn't slip.
With everyone it was a phone call and text pic of the digital test. I envisioned taking my mom out to lunch and have dessert served with "grandma" written in chocolate. Oh well.
Of course everyone is stoked. I keep telling them it's very, very early.

I was in my hometown this weekend for L's memorial, everything was so somber and sad. We waited to tell (only our immediate families) until the day after the memorial. It was nice to have happy news for everyone on such a sad occasion. Plus, I didn't get to tell anyone anything in person last time, so it was nice to see their faces. Everyone knows it's super early, and that it may not stick, but it was worth it to me. It also is a pretty good sign that my husband and I are doing ok, and coping, and moving forward.

@blackbird: my mom was an OB nurse for 30+ years and while that sounds like a great resource, she's judgey on things so I know I'm going to get comments on certain stuff. Keep up the Crossfit! I know a girl who owns a CF gym and did it up until she popped her last one out!

It was so fun telling family, and we videoed everything this time also because the reactions are always priceless. How great you'l have that to share with your LO one day.
