any december 2013 mommies yet?

@MrsCastro: we had our shower way early over Labor Day weekend, since it was the best time for us to make the 10 hour drive to where DH grew up. It was so much fun! I hope you enjoy yours as much as we did!

@MrsCastro: it sounds like my shower will be October 26...hopefully my friends who are planning it will do as I asked and keep it very small and low-key, as I'm kind of uncomfortable with being the guest of honor at parties/showers.

@MrsCastro: we aren't doing a shower this time since it is our 2nd. But with my first, we had the shower about 6 weeks before I was due.

@MrsCastro: is it weird that I have no clue? I think my mom is throwing something but she hasn't said a word about dates other than to express shock that I know someone who is due the same week as I am and is having her shower in early October - she thought that was insanely early... So I'm guessing November? It's weird because she had me make every single decision for my bridal shower, so I'm surprised she won't talk to me about it!

I feel like I've been a little MIA recently, but I've just been chugging along-- and am now firmly into the place where strangers feel comfortable asking when I'm due and whether I know what I'm having. My husband has suggested that I just look at them blankly, as though I'm not pregnant, but so far everyone has been so friendly that I don't want them to think I'm just a chubby jerk.

    1) How far along are you now?
    26+5

    2) How are you feeling? any weird symptoms? cravings?
Larger and in-charge-er, but hopefully/finally done with nausea. (I am hoping I'm not in the "lucky" group that will be sick for my entire pregnancy!) After an hour-long flight yesterday, my ankles swelled up something fierce, so now I am on Cankle Watch. Cravings have been mostly reasonable, though I DID buy a bag of mini Snickers this morning-- it's too tempting for the supermarket to start stocking Halloween candy this early!

    3) Do you know the sex?
    Yup, baby girl.

    4) Have you picked out a name?
We have a top 3-- Claire, Natalie, and Madeline. The middle name will be a grandma-name, and we have a favorite for each first-name candidate.

    5) Do you know where you are giving birth?
Sort of-- I'd say I'm about 90% convinced that I'll deliver in a hospital that's about 10 minutes from our house, as opposed to the one that's about 3 minutes away. (The close one is a Catholic hospital, and I feel like their reproductive values aren't very aligned with my own. I'm sure I'd have an ok experience there, but am willing to make this principled stand.)

    6) Have you made any baby purchases yet?
Outside of a couple books, not really. I did buy our stroller (the Britax B-Agile) when it was an additional 20% off through Amazon Mom, but my dad paid us back, so he technically "bought" it. It's so WEIRD to have a stroller in the house.

    7) What are you most excited about in the next few weeks?
We're taking a short trip (don't call it a babymoon) to Cabo in a couple weeks, so I'm looking forward to hanging out next to the pool/on the beach. I think we'll also be clearing out the nursery a bit more, so I'm excited to have that room looking a bit more like it belongs to a baby, rather than to our accumulated junk.

@sosaysmegan: too funny, we're going with natalie and middle name for my grandma too! but we're really stumbling on the middle name, so i'm really jealous you already have middle names picked out for all your choices and i hear ya on the halloween candy - it's everywhere!

@sosaysmegan: I hope your swelling has gone down! I flew last week too, but didn't have anything strange happen. Also I love your name choices, so pretty and classic! I remember when we bought our stroller for DS and it just sat in a box in the living room for a few weeks, it's definitely a strange site to see. Also, beach trip sounds awesome, enjoy it! Fall started early here this year, so I'm a little jealous

@Pirouette Name twins! Really, I'm just relieved that we're having a girl because those names were so much easier to reach consensus on. (My husband and I don't like many of the same boy names, so it'll be a challenge if we have a son someday.) And yeah, I am powerless to resist Halloween candy. I'm going to try to make these mini Snickers last a week, but it's going to be a struggle.

@Jaypegs When I look in the mirror and think, "Ok, three more months," it freaks me out a little. But I *am* glad to be out of that "is she or isn't she?" phase and have a proper bump.

@Lamariniere Thanks! I'm a little bummed that I won't be able to enjoy any margaritas while I'm beach/poolside, but it'll be a nice escape before we're housebound for awhile.

Now that I'm out of the "ambiguously chubby" phase, people are definitely feeling more comfortable asking me about the baby-- when I'm due, what I'm having, is it our first, etc. (We were recently at Disneyland, and you'd think none of these people had ever seen a pregnant lady, such were the up-and-down looks I got.) My husband is of the "unless you see the baby coming out, it's rude to ask" camp, but I generally don't mind; I usually just smile and say thanks, and answer their questions. How do y'all handle situations like this?

  10. lamariniere

    pineapple / 12566 posts

@sosaysmegan: I usually smile and say thanks and add something like this is our second, or it's a girl, or I'm due in December. People are always so curious!

@sosaysmegan: ha, i'm still caught off guard by this because it only started happening this week! but this was kind of a funny story that happened to me yesterday:

I paid off my student loans yesterday (finally, yay!) and then called customer service to make sure i was paid in full, and the guy was like the nicest guy I'd ever spoken to and congratulated me LITERALLY 7 times during the conversation. so a few hours later I was in an elevator with a girl and her mother, and the girl says "CONGRATS!" i was really confused because i was wondering how she knew i paid off my student loans until she said "I can totally tell!" and her mom was like "tell what?" and I realized she was talking about my baby. I had to point out my belly and then they both started jumping up and down all excited for me! it was SO cute (and random) and made me feel kinda bad that i'm always dreading comments from strangers...some can be really sweet

I have a feeling I won't enjoy all the comments quite that much, but that interaction kinda made my day!

    Happy Monday Ladies!

@Pirouette @jaypegs: Ugh, just found out I did not pass the glucose test . The nurse said I was borderline with a 137 so now I have to go to the three hour. So.Not.Thrilled. But hubby is going to keep me company this time. FX I pass this one!!!

@MrsCastro: I'm jealous you get to have your baby shower so soon! Mine won't be until November because of my sister's wedding in October. I would have preferred to have it sooner, but she had her wedding date planned long before I got pregnant.

@sosaysmegan: LOL to the "larger and in-charger". I feel that way too. This morning someone told me to watch my belly so I don't knock over a cup of coffee on the counter!

In other baby news... hubby put the crib together last night and we also have our glider chair now. The nursery is definitely becoming my favorite room in the house!

Hope everyone is feeling well and has a great week!

@Pirouette: I forgot to say "CONGRATS" on paying off the student loans!!!! I paid mine off last November and it is definitely a great feeling!!

@tjlove54 Good luck on your 3-hour test! I had my 1-hour this morning and it was mostly unremarkable (that drink before 9 a.m. is...not the best thing in the world), but we'll see how it goes. As an overachiever, I was so annoyed that this was one test I couldn't "study" for!

We made a trip to Ikea yesterday to pick up some nursery stuff-- we were planning on getting a crib there, but of COURSE they didn't have the one we liked in stock, and it may even be discontinued soon. Back to the drawing board, I guess, or I'll just have to stalk their website and be the annoying lady calling them all the time to ask about it...

@Pirouette: yay for the student loans! I paid off mine this summer and it felt so good!

@tjlove54: I know what you mean about not knocking into things with the belly. I keep unintentionally bumping into stuff because I don't realize how much I am protruding now!

@sosaysmegan: good luck finding the crib.

I think I take my glucose test this Friday -- no appointment, I just have to show up at the lab. I really hope I pass since it is such a time suck.

@tjlove54: thanks!! it's a great feeling i'm so sorry about the 3 hour - i hope it goes well! SO nice that your DH will be there with you!

@lamariniere: thank you! they've been lingering for the past few years and are so low interest we've been putting off paying them off...but we figured with the baby coming we'd rather not have to dip into savings each month to make that payment, so we just used our savings to get rid of them finally! feels great! Good luck on Friday!!!!

anyone else starting to feel like things are getting real right now? Just started the 3rd tri, less than 3 months to go, and I feel like the next few months are going to FLY! I'm now getting work deadlines really close to my due date, and it's starting to feel like December is right around the corner! EEK!

@sosaysmegan: oh i researched the heck out of that test, being the type A person i am! even though I knew the research wouldn't make any difference in the results, it at least made me feel better to be "prepared"!

  18. sosaysmegan

    olive / 65 posts

@Pirouette: Speaking of tests I can't technically "prepare" for (at least not in the sense that it'll make me more likely to pass!)-- I have an NST scheduled for this Saturday, when I'll be going to the hospital (next to my doctor's office, not where I'll be delivering) for my rhogam shot. It seems so early to be doing an NST (I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow), and my only risk factor is a marginal placenta previa (that my doctor has said she isn't worried about), so...of COURSE I'm stressed about the non-stress test!

  19. Pirouette

    pomegranate / 3331 posts

@sosaysmegan: oh no! you (and more importantly, baby!) are going to do great tomorrow! I'm surprised they're putting you through the test now, especially if you don't really have any risk factors...but I guess they are just being overly cautious? dont stress, baby is going to pass with flying colors

@sosaysmegan: Good luck tomorrow!! What do they even do at a NST? Let us know how it goes!

Are any of you ladies dealing with leg cramps? I posted this on the appointments thread, but I got a horrible one the night before last. I've been having mild ones at night for a couple weeks but nothing a little stretching and moving my legs around didn't cure...and then BANG. It was excruciating, and all I could think was, how am I going to handle labor if I'm this much of a baby about a leg cramp??? I called my MW office and they said to take a calcium-magnesium supplement with a banana (potassium) a couple hours before bed. I don't know if it worked right away but last night was cramp-free...but my calf muscle still hurts from the night before! Ugh.

  21. lamariniere

    pineapple / 12566 posts

@PurplePeony: I had leg cramps a few nights in a row last week. But I have been taking magnesium supplements for, ahem, constipation, and they have been working wonders in that department. Haven't had any leg cramps since last week though. Hopefully the supplements and banana will help you!

So, best news first: the NST and rhogam shot were no big deal at all! I had the nurse do the shot in my hip, and it felt like basically nothing. (Maybe I was well-prepared because of all the blood draws I've had so far, but that needle was practically painless.) The NST was just a longer-term doppler check of baby's heart rate, which accelerated as she moved around; there was a printout so that the nurses and doc could see the variations, and everything looked good.

But! While I had expected to be at the hospital for two hours (at the most), we ended up spending nearly twice that amount of time there-- in a dumb move that was only *partially* my fault, we were at the wrong hospital. They were able to do everything that I needed to have done, but it would have been better to be at the hospital where I'm planning to deliver. Oh well. Also, my blood pressure was pretty high the first time they checked it, so they kept me there for a little longer to monitor it (every ten minutes) and do a PIH (pregnancy-induced hypertension) blood panel. My pressure went down gradually, and the blood work came back normal, so they finally let me leave. I have to do a 24-hour urine collection so they can test for protein in my urine (sort of like a larger version of the screening they do at every routine OB visit, I guess), but so far I'm only allowing myself to be moderately worried-- my mom said that both she and my grandma had elevated blood pressure when they were pregnant, so I'm hoping it's just a (controllable) blood pressure issue and not increasing signs of pre-eclampsia.

  23. Pirouette

    pomegranate / 3331 posts

@sosaysmegan: yay! so glad the NST was no big deal! I'm sorry to hear about the blood pressure issue, but it is quite possible that the stress of the non-stress test (haha) and just being in a hospital (and the wrong one!) may have elevated your bp a little. Hoping that's all it is! my bp was way higher than usual at my 1 hour glucose test, and i was very nervous, so attributed it to that.

@PurplePeony: I've just had some mild ones in the middle of the night on occasion, nothing excruciating like that though, i'm sorry, it sounds terrible! but i have to say, if you ask most people, they will say that charley horses are the most terrible pain there is, especially in the middle of the night, so i wouldn't take it as a sign that you don't handle pain well bananas are great for cramping - i always have a banana right before ballet classes so my muscles aren't crampy!

Goodness, I feel like I haven't posted in forever here!!

The rundown of what's going on in my world:

I hit 29 weeks as of today. I passed my one-hour glucose test (Yayyy!). I've only gained 6 pounds so far (somehow). My baby shower is in two weeks! I start my every two week appointments next Wednesday. I have another fetal ECG for baby boy in November to see if the heart defect is still there. If it is, then we will start formulating a game plan as far as delivery, etc. I will have two growth scans (one at 34 weeks and one at 36 weeks). I will start having weekly appointments starting at 36 weeks. I'm nesting like crazy, ignoring my crazy fat ankles, and am starting to realize that I can no longer shave my legs or paint my toenails comfortably.

  25. mrsdoily

    apricot / 367 posts

And I didn't even notice there was a questionnaire!!

    1) How far along are you now?
    29 weeks exactly!

    2) How are you feeling? any weird symptoms? cravings?
I'm definitely starting to feel larger! Despite the fact I have gained only 6 pounds, my belly is measuring a week and a half ahead. So right now I'm 29 weeks, but looking closer to 31. It's getting harder for me to bend over or to move quickly, which is making my job harder ( I work in a kindergarten Autism classroom). I also get pretty tired by the end of the day and have to pee every 20 min.

    3) Do you know the sex?
    A bouncing baby boy!

    4) Have you picked out a name?
We have! Baby boy will also have 2 middle names, just in case he's the only boy!

    5) Do you know where you are giving birth?
I know where we are giving birth, but with who depends on our next fetal ECG and how baby's heart is doing. If it's still have the defect, then most likely I will be induced early with a high risk OB and will have a team of OBs, neonatal specialists, and pediatric cardiologists on hand to take care of him. Right now I'm still with the midwives at the hospital and hope to stay that way though.

    6) Have you made any baby purchases yet?
I bought an Ergo at TJ Maxx for half off. Some clothes. That's about it. We have been gifted quite a bit of clothes so far and his crib is coming this week from my parents!

    7) What are you most excited about in the next few weeks?
My baby shower is in two weeks! So excited for that!

Sorry I've been MIA - for some reason these days, being logged out of HB seems like an insurmountable obstacle, haha.

I passed my glucose test, which was a big relief, and had the first of my two week appointments last week. On one hand I can't believe how quickly time is passing, but when I count the weeks left on my work calendar I get depressed!

Starting to get increasingly uncomfortable... I brought in a birthing ball to sit on at work, but my butt gets sore :). I look pretty funny switching back and forth between my chairs all day. Tomorrow I'm bringing in a lumbar pillow! I used to work two different jobs at the museum, but got switched to just one - same hours, just consolidated so I only work 4 days/week and holy cow am I thankful! Much less time on my feet and an extra day off is helping convince me I can make it another 9 1/2 weeks! How are the rest of you holding up at work?

Good morning ladies! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I passed the 3 hour glucose test! It was definitely not the best experience of my life as we ended up being at the hospital over 5 hours! I was so, so hungry by the time I was done. Also, I hit 31 weeks today. I can't believe I'm in the single digits now for the countdown.

@jaypegs: that's fantastic about your 4 day work week! I'm still working 5 days a week but fortunately I spend most of my time at a desk. I've recently started getting uncomfortable while sleeping though which is a bummer.

@mrsdoily: Congrats on passing the 1-hour test!! I start my two week appointments next week! I can't believe I'm at that point already. At my first 10 week appointment I thought it would take forever to get here!

@PurplePeony: I randomly get cramps in my left foot. It is so strange. The leg cramps definitely sound worse. I hope you haven't been dealing with them as much lately!

  28. Pirouette

    pomegranate / 3331 posts

@jaypegs: congrats on passing the glucose test! I got a seated cushion for work that is basically the top of an exercise ball but doesn't take up as much room or stand out as much, it has made such a difference! I also had dh install a keyboard drawer in my desk so I wasn't straining to reach the keyboard so much. I'm trying to get up frequently so I'm not achy, and she definitely loves to kick my hipbone, which makes it unbearable to sit sometimes! And it's only going to get harder, oh boy

@tjlove54: congrats on passing the 3 hr!!! So nice to have it behind you....single digits, eek!!!

@PurplePeony: I've woken up in the middle of the night 2 nights in a row with those damn leg cramps, ugh! Interestingly enough, the only change I've made this week is that bananas haven't been sounding good to me the past 2 days, so I haven't eaten them! I guess I've learned my lesson...going to have to try to get one down every day regardless of whether it makes me a little nauseous! Have yours improved?

30 weeks today! I can hardly believe it! I'm torn between hoping the rest of the way flies by and feeling totally unprepared!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend...we have our childbirth class tomorrow - eek!!!

  29. sosaysmegan

    olive / 65 posts

How is everyone doing? We're getting so close to being able to say, "next month" when people ask when we're due!

We had our shower last weekend, and it went really well. My parents threw it at their house, and (much to my grandma's chagrin) it was co-ed. I was a little worried about being the center of attention-- the idea of opening presents in front of a crowd is SO not appealing to me-- but we had a lot of fun. We did get some useful things from our registry, but mostly we got a TON of clothes. I think it must be pretty hard for people to resist teeny tiny clothing, because holy cow, we're not going to have to buy anything for our kid to wear for at least a year. What was more surprising to me was the amount of BLANKETS we got: so, so many! Some are the nice A&A swaddle blankets, but some are these big, plush, faux-fur ones, which are lovely, but I have a feeling I'm going to get more use out of them than LO will. Ah well, we'll have a cozy winter baby.

Our first childbirth prep class was last night (it's a series of four, plus we're signed up for other classes on breastfeeding and such), and we did the hospital tour at the end of it. It was so strange to be wandering around the L&D floor, looking at the delivery and postpartum rooms. I can't get my head around the fact that we'll be there in about 8 weeks!

  30. lamariniere

    pineapple / 12566 posts

@sosaysmegan: I know, I can't believe that I have less than 8 weeks to go! Awww, that's so fun that you had your shower. I'm not having one since this is my second, but we still need to buy things since I gave away/sold a lot of DS's baby stuff.

I've been feeling ok, but I have quite a lot of back discomfort these days. I sit practically all day long for work, and I don't think I have the best-suited chair. Also, I'm not nearly as active as I was during my first pregnancy, so I'm sure that has something to do with it (I swam until 37 weeks with DS and walked at least a mile or 2 every day!).

Has anyone decided on names? We have a short list and while DH and I like all of the names on the short list, we can't come to an agreement! Ack! With DS, I picked out his names YEARS before I conceived.

  31. Pirouette

    pomegranate / 3331 posts

@sosaysmegan: oh man, can you return some of the stuff you don't need? i've heard that people love to buy you blankets, but i don't really understand why that is! so glad you had a fun shower! i haven't had mine yet, so i don't really have much stuff.

@lamariniere: don't tell anyone, but i just stole someone else's chair at work because my chair was offering ZERO support! i've also moved my keyboard to a drawer so i don't have to strain at all to type. the little changes have helped a lot and i'm using my heating pad less these days. I find being active helps, even if it's just reminding yourself to get up and walk around at work frequently so you're not sitting all day!

I feel so lucky that her name was easy for us...but we're still not settled on a middle name yet. We rarely talk about it these days, and i think it'll be one of those hospital bed decisions ("sure, that's good enough!")

Are you guys working up until your due date? I am, but starting to feel stressed about getting stuff out of the way in case i go early!

We just had our shower two weekends ago. It was lovely and I was so pleased to see so many of our friends there. I can't believe that I'm already almost 33 weeks, I feel like I just saw that second pink line on the stick. I'm starting to get anxious for little man to get here, but at the same time okay with him taking awhile. LOL.
We have our childbirth class and our newborn care classes all next weekend, which will be fun! Also next week is our big day of appointments with the pediatric cardiologist, a fetal ECG, an ultrasound, and my 34 week appointment in which we will go over our birth plan with the midwife!

We luckily had our named picked out no problem before we knew he was a boy. In fact, we spent more time arguing over a girls name because I was so sure that he was going to be a she!

I had planned on working until my due date, which is the day that Winter Break starts in the district that I work for, but I'm thinking of asking my midwife her honest opinion and seeing if I can't get a medical reason to take the week off before my due date so I can get final things ready and just relax (that is, if he isn't here already!)

@Pirouette: I have no chairs to steal since I work at home! When I was working during my first pregnancy I had one if those knee-sit chairs and loved it. I have a yoga ball that I had DH inflate, but it is too short for my desk!

As far as work, I'm going to stop taking work (I'm freelance) about 2 weeks before I'm due. I don't want to be in the middle or a project and go into labor! The first time around I worked until 1 week before my EDD and I went into labor 4 days after I stopped.

@mrsdoily: in your situation i would definitely ask the mw about taking a few extra days! for me, my leave is entirely unpaid except for rolled over vacation, so i'm trying to conserve all my days for when LO is here. But i'll probably work from home at the very end to the extent i can.

@lamariniere: i can't sit on a yoga ball at work, so i bought this: http://www.relaxtheback.com/seat-cushions/fitball-seating-disc.html it is amazing! i have it on my normal chair, and it has helped tremendously. Not sure if you can get it delivered to you, but I would definitely recommend it!

we also had our shower two weekends ago, we got a ton of stuff and really little clothes...i told DH that i was glad that i have been buying him clothes because if we were dependent on the shower we would have been screwed...we also got a lot of double and triples of things off our registry. i spent this past weekend exchanging those things for stuff we didnt get that we really do need.

we started or child birthing classes last week (total of 5 classes every monday night) and let me say they have been an eye opener for the hubs, which is really good...we are also set to go to a Breastfeeding and a Newborn care class in the next two weeks We will be touring the hospital on Sunday and that seems like a trip.

as far as taking time off before he comes, i had originally planned to work until the day i was due, BUT i am not feeling that anymore...i think i want some time off before he comes to make sure that everything is taken care of and just to have some time for DH and me...CA allows you take up to 4 weeks off before your due date, i am just taking three weeks off...so thanksgiving week will be my last week of work and i cannot wait.

Wow, lots of activity here today!

@lamariniere: sorry about your discomfort, I hope you find something to ease it soon! Re: names, we've had a boy and a girl name picked out for literally years now. Can't wait to find out which it's going to be!

@Pirouette: yep, planning to work as close to LO's arrival as possible -- my maternity leave starts to run as soon as I go out and I want the maximum possible amount of time with LO after he or she arrives. My job isn't very strenuous and I can also do some work from home, so I'm hoping I'll be able to hold out.

@mrsdoily: good luck at the cardiologist appt! I would definitely start maternity leave a little early if I were in your shoes.

@sosaysmegan: @MrsCastro: we're also in the midst of childbirth prep classes. Like MrsCastro, ours is a 5-class series and we're also doing a newborn care/breast feeding class (they offer them separately or as a combined class, so it was easier for us to do the combined one) and our hospital tour is coming up soon. DH was just commenting on how much time we're spending at baby-related things, and then paused and said "but I guess it's nothing compared to what comes next..." Haha.

Also @MrsCastro: I think there's a technical name for the pelvic pain you're feeling but I can't think of it right now. Definitely ask your doctor, though I don't think there's much they can do about it

AFM, I caught a nasty cold over the weekend. Boo hiss. I'm feeling a little better today but still fuzzy-headed and slow. I really hope I didn't spread it to anyone at my shower, I would have bailed but since I was the guest of honor I really couldn't. Fortunately, it was really small and low-key, just like I wanted, and I got some nice gifts. Mostly smaller stuff, so we need to get to work on the big-ticket items now. As an aside, if anyone is considering a Chicco Keyfit 30 carseat, Babies R Us has the Magic version in Rattania on sale for 25% off right now! Also, it ships free. I don't love the color but I couldn't pass up that deal so I just ordered one...and I don't even have to set foot in the BRU store, which is quite possibly the best thing that's happened to me today!

Baby is moving a ton these days, it's crazy! We're doing Hypnobirthing and at our last class, we were learning this particular relaxation technique...well, baby for one did NOT want to relax and was thumping me so much I couldn't concentrate and it was all I could do to keep from cracking up the whole time. I'm totally going to blame the baby if I fail at my hypno techniques during labor

Guys, it's November...we're having babies NEXT MONTH!!!!

@MrsCastro: CA allows you 4 weeks? wow, that's awesome. and then FMLA starts after? that's pretty sweet. NY kinda sucks that way, i just have FMLA, which is obviously unpaid.

@PurplePeony: yup, i have the same plan for working...i am planning on probably working from home the week before my due date, but may add in a few more work-from-home days in there. Starting to get a little anxious about getting everything done before my leave starts! so hard not knowing exactly when that will be.

I think we're going to start transitioning the office into a nursery this weekend! we got our crib and dresser this week, so need to put everything together and start setting up...so exciting!

    Happy friday everyone

@MrsCastro: Fun that you had your shower. That's strange that you got doubles and triples of some stuff. I guess people were buying things at the same time and didn't see that items had already been purchased? At least you can take them back for the things you want and need. As for the discomfort, I feel like my back pain comes and goes depending on how long I am sitting in one place. Also, no idea about the discomfort you are having "downtown". Any relief?

@PurplePeony: I've always been really curious about hyno birthing, but don't know anything about it (you would think I would have some idea with the amount of time I spend on HB ). You'll have to let us know how it goes when it is all said and done!

@Pirouette: I know, I can't believe we can now say "next month" when people ask when we are due! It has gone by so fast. That's fun that you get to start setting up the nursery. We basically just need to reset DS's crib to the highest setting. We finally transitioned him out of his crib into his big boy bed about a month ago, so the crib is just empty and waiting now.

I feel like the weeks are flying by, just 7ish to go for me! We still have some gear we need to buy, and I feel like we don't have enough clothes yet. But I also keep thinking we have plenty of time....
