@SupernovaJ: so glad you had a good appointment! and that's crazy you can see the baby move!

@Dandelion: how have your P shots been going?
@PEAPIE: I'm excited for your reveal party! Are you having the tech write it down and then giving it to the bakery? I would have a hard time not peeking in the envelope!
@megz06: the boy balance is crazy! Maybe a bunch of us TGers are girls, who knows?
@SupernovaJ: so glad your scan went well! And it is so crazy that you can see baby already. I can barely feel baby still! It's sporadic, and sometimes I am still not sure. But I have an anterior placenta, so I'm hoping it will happen soon!

@LovelyPlum: I only had the one last Friday so far. I get another on Wednesday, because they're closed this week on Thursday and Friday.
It was on my hip, which I was surprised about, but it didn't hurt at all. Wasn't even sore afterwards. I didn't notice any side effects, either. After a few weeks, maybe I'll feel differently, lol.

@Dandelion: I'm glad it's going well! Hopefully they don't get too much more painful.

@LovelyPlum: That is the plan! I'm not going to peek. I'm pretty committed to the surprise! I'm excited for this afternoon, just seeing baby. I hope it's going to stay still for the scan! I'm feeling lots of wiggles this morning!

@PEAPIE: Lol I have been sitting here all day stalking the board waiting for your baby's gender to be revealed when I saw your last post. I'm like WTH and went back to read, and I must have missed when you said you were having a gender reveal party tomorrow!! How exciting!

@PEAPIE: Awww a gender reveal party sounds like so much fun!!! I'm getting so antsy to find out what we're having!!! Only 19 more days! I'm hoping the upcoming holiday/Christmas shopping will help take my mind off of it!

I had my ob check in today, and everything looks great! The little miss was looking super cute with her legs folded in a yoga position
my next appointment is already on the list--anatomy scan on dec 9! but I also got my glucose test scheduled, for dec 31. fun way to end the year, eh?

@PEAPIE: Congratulations on your boy! I really hope that you had fun at your party!
@nana87: aww, yay. Glad she's doing well. I think my glucose challenge will be right after Christmas-they don't do it until 26 weeks at my office. But still, ugh.

And I am super happy to say...we are having a BOY too!!! I cannot tell you guys how much better my experience was at the delivery center. I am so happy that we chose to do our 20 week there. The u/s tech was friendly, funny, and genuinely cared about us. I can't complain about my prenatal doctor at all because she's been wonderful, but my delivery doctor is amazing too. He said our son looks great and health, and he said I have had an ideal pregnancy and my body is supporting it perfectly in his opinion. I don't think I could ask for much more than that. So, so happy!!

@megz06: that's wonderful! Both that you and baby boy are doing so well, but also it is so so nice to have a doctor who cares! I didn't really appreciate that before, but I get so tense before appointments that it's such a relief to hear the dr say positive things above and beyond the "everything is healthy" kind of comments. My dr said my baby girl is cute, and as silly as it is that means a lot to reassure me that things are going well lol

@megz06: @nana87: I'm so glad you ladies have had positive experiences with doctors. It really does make all the difference to hear them say everything is going well & be so positive. My obgyn is wonderful and I am so thankful for that!!!

@nana87: @jhd: Thanks, ladies. It did make it that much better to have a good u/s experience. We were so miserable during our first two. She would just take her measurements and that was it. This time around, they explained what they were measuring, why they measure it, and what it does (and if it looked normal). It was fantastic to get to see that little heart beating in there as well. Our other u/s tech was always so exasperated when we asked to see the heart, like it was some big chore, and that didn't sit well with me, so MUCH better this time.
@luckypenny: @LovelyPlum: @PEAPIE: Thank you! I really thought it was going to be a little girl, lol. All the WB laides are having girls, so it's fun to go back and forth between the boards. Hopefully some TG ladies will even out our boards!

We had our anatomy scan this morning (at just about 23 weeks haha) and confirmed that our little boy is still a boy Everything looks good and normal, although I do appear to be measuring ahead. This has been the case for every ultrasound so far, and makes me wonder if my due date is a little off. I mean, I know it's an inexact science, but I keep expecting this baby to come in April...and I think I need to entertain the possibility that he comes in March. eep.
apricot / 335 posts
@gilmoregirl: Haha glad to hear he is still a little boy! They usually don't change the date if you are measuring within a week, but it isn't a bad idea to entertain the idea of having a March baby. I find myself thinking this could be an end of March baby since I am measuring about 5 days ahead, and he could come early. Crazy!

I had my glucose test this morning. Not as bad as I thought, but gave me a little bit of a headache. Results tomorrow. HB 145, so keeping us guessing on boy vs girl still Next appt is an u/s and growth measurement on 1/3/14! Eek for 2014!
eggplant / 11408 posts
@gilmoregirl: yay, glad to hear that your little boy is still a boy And I understand the panic about baby coming in March...I recently realized that I actually need to think about that possibility, and I am very, very freaked out by it. I measured over a week ahead at this last u/s, but I really don't think that could be accurate at all, because I have measured on time every other measurement. I'm pretty sure I just have a really long little one.
@HazelEyes: so glad that it went well. I can't believe we're in to January appointments already. 2014 is almost here!!

@HazelEyes: Oh mylanta...2014...I am dreading the new year. Well, not dreading, but yikes! Then we are only a few short months away. DH made me anxious last night by asking when the baby shower was going to be, and I then started to calculate out how much time I needed to wash clothes, premake meals, get the room all set up, and I started having an anxiety attack, lol.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@megz06: right there with you, chica. I'll be in the third tri the week after New Year's, and from there, it's game on. Aah!!
By the way, stay warm! I hear it's freezing right now in your neck of the woods.

Next appointment is the first week of january. I have to reschedule but I'll get you a date soon its a glucose test. I can't believe I'm already 23 weeks! this pregnancy is flying by.

Just got back from a very, very long anatomy scan! Everything is most likely completely fine, but the two doctors we saw while we were there were a little concerned about her kidneys: one looks like it's a little larger than the other. They want to get a clearer view next week (I have a follow up scan scheduled now for 12/16), but they thought it might either be a) nothing--in some views it looked borderline normal, b) that baby needed to empty her bladder, in which case everything is also normal, or c) that there might be a slight obstruction. I asked about the worst case scenario and the doctor said there really wasn't any, it usually clears itself up in the womb but they just want to keep an eye on it...Of course I'm worried though!
grapefruit / 4582 posts
@nana87: oh Lady I know it's hard not to worry! It must be sp hard to have to wait a week - But it sounds like everything is goin to turn out okay ill keep you guys in my thoughts
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@luckypenny: thanks! It really does seem like everything will be fine--I've been googling and it looks like worst case scenario would be conditions that are manageable with treatment. It would be much, much worse if they were worried about both kidneys instead of just one. What scares me though is that in my sil's second pregnancy, they found a fatal problem with the baby's kidneys at her 18 week scan and she lost the pregnancy...I know that this isn't as serious but it's just such a scary coincidence...

@LovelyPlum: Thanks. Managed to stay warm over the weekend. it's currently -1, and honestly it feels so good after having -20 temps, lol. Apparent though we are supposed to get a blizzard tonight. It's started snowing now, but the wind is supposed to pick up later. Fingers crossed it stays away.
@nana87: Yikes! I can see how that would be worrisome. Hopefully everything is better by next scan.
