We are 11 weeks 3 days!! Almost to 12 weeks which is so exciting.
Only bad news so far is I tested high on my glucose test yesterday and am now labeled as having Gestational Diabetes I will be hearing from the specialist soon and going from there.
I did start thread about it and I'm pretty bummed but it is what it is.

@Pumpkinspice: Sorry to hear about the GD. I am very sure I'll join you on that later on in the pregnancy, since I was always borderline Insulin Resistant throughout my PCOS/TTC years. *hugs*

@savanarunner: I am so very sorry for your loss! Sending thoughts and prayers your way.

@MrsHotDog: Welcome to April!
@Pumpkinspice: @jaguar: Ladies, sorry you've had some unexpected issues come up. I know exactly how hard it is when you have to worry about a new issue, even if it's only a possible problem. It takes some time to adjust to the new "normal" of your pregnancy and realize that it's still your baby's story and, therefore, quite lovely! Glad your ultrasound looked good, Jag, and PumpkinSpice, I know there are lots of people on the boards who have been down the GD road and can help you along the way!

@Mrs. Blue: Thanks for the kind words.
I'll be back to taking things one day at a time. Our OB rang me today and calmed me down - he's happy for me not to do the Amnio, if that's what we've decided, and they're going to monitor Baby Jag closely during the third trimester for proper growth. Next visit is in 3 weeks (at 15.5 weeks) and then have my 19 week anatomy scan on November 26th.

@jaguar: Thinking good thoughts for you. Yay for anatomy scans!

We just got back from our NT scan. It was incredible! They even turned on the 3d machine for us! Everything looks great.
My husband is in his 4th year of medical school, so they gave him a very thorough anatomy tour.
Over the moon!

@mountainmama: Yay! Glad it was fun! They went 3d for the briefest moment on our last ultrasound, and it was so much cooler than I thought it would be.

@mountainmama: Oh wow! That sounds wonderful. Our NT is next week...I hope we get some 3D time!

Ladies, I think it's time for some kind of roll call/update!
Feel free to throw in other questions, but here's what I can think of off the top of my head that should be applicable in the next few weeks:
How far along?
Do you know the gender? If not, when do you expect to find out?
Any thoughts on names?
Best/worst moments:
Any movement?
How are you feeling?
Nursery plans?
Who have you told?
If you plan to, where will you register?
Recent u/s pic?

How far along? 11 weeks 7 days
Do you know the gender? Probably should find out the beginning of December.
Any thoughts on names? We have like 4 for each a boy or a girl
Best/worst moments: I've been sick a lot and now I'm dealing with GD so it hasn't been great. But all worth it.
Any movement? I'm pretty sure I've felt an odd flutter. Since this is my third go round I kinda know what I'm looking for.
How are you feeling? Blah
Nursery plans? Will be in our room for probably a year til we move so nothing too exciting.
Who have you told? Everyone knows.
If you plan to, where will you register? We won't be registering.
Recent u/s pic? I haven't had an u/s since 8 1/2 weeks.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
How far along? 12 weeks 2 days
Do you know the gender? If not, when do you expect to find out? No, and not planning to find out
Any thoughts on names? We have a girl name picked out that nobody likes but us (but we love it), and a boy's name picked out...we will probably stick with those, but are still considering others occasionally.
Best/worst moments: worst has been the fatigue, and falling behind at work because I was so tired. Best was definitely that NT scan on Thursday morning. it was amazing
Any movement? I haven't felt anything, my doctor said I probably won't until 17 or 18 weeks
How are you feeling? much better now, but still tired - some constipation and gas issues that I'm trying to resolve
Nursery plans? We will be moving shortly after the baby is born, so we won't be setting up a nursery in this apartment. We are going to have the baby sleep in a co-sleeper, and will be using a dresser as a changing table. So I do need to buy a new dresser, and we'll have to move some of the furniture in our bedroom out to make room.
Who have you told? family & close friends. working my way through the good friends list (as in, people i want to tell in person/on the phone) before it goes on facebook
If you plan to, where will you register? Amazon, I think
Recent u/s pic? not sure how I feel about this yet- have to think. also started taking "bump" pictures (aka bloat) last week.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@Pumpkinspice: 3rd babe! During the worst moments of my fatigue, I remember thinking "there is NO Way I could do this with a toddler at home." Congratulations!

How far along? 12 weeks + 5 days
Do you know the gender? If not, when do you expect to find out? Not yet - we have our 19 week anatomy scan booked for November 26th. SO LONG TO WAIT.
Any thoughts on names? Still up for discussion. All the names I adore are being snapped up by other people right now.
Best/worst moments: BEST: seeing our little one at 12 weeks - such a gorgeous bub. I also heard the heartbeat for the first time at home yesterday on our doppler. WORST: The scare with the NT scan. I'm trying not to worry about the high risk.
Any movement? Nope.
How are you feeling? Great! Tired and hungry all the time.
Nursery plans? Waiting to find out gender first.
Who have you told? The world
If you plan to, where will you register? No idea. Since we're in Australia, I don't know if I'll do Amazon or a more local option.

@mountainmama: Lol my LO's are 5 and 9 so it's not too bad. This will be my last though without a doubt.

How far along? By LMP- 12 weeks, by ultrasound dating- 11 weeks and 1 day!
Do you know the gender? We are no longer team green and we have our anatomy scan in early December.
Any thoughts on names? We decided on a boy name. We still need a middle name for the boy name and we need to narrow down girl names
Best/worst moments: Best: seeing DH light up at our first ultrasound. Worst: getting a GD diagnosis at 6 weeks!
Any movement? Not yet
How are you feeling? Tired and hungry
Nursery plans? We are house hunting so the nursery is up in the air for now. I love the idea of a light gray wall for either gender.
Who have you told? Our families, bosses, HB and a few friends. We plan on telling more people when I hit my second trimester.
If you plan to, where will you register? This will be my second baby so I don't plan on registering.
Recent u/s pic? Next Fri!

@autumnlove: I can feel you on the GD! I've been diagnosed as of this Monday!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
I'm loving reading everyone's updates! I can't believe we are all done or almost done with the first trimester!! In some ways, it has gone so slow, but in other ways the time has flown by!
How far along? 15 weeks
Do you know the gender? If not, when do you expect to find out? We will hopefully find out in a little less than 3 weeks! I am soo ready to know!
Any thoughts on names? We discuss this a lot, and I *think* we have girl names picked out. Boy names have been tougher, but today we came up with a really good set that we're going to marinate on and see if we keep feeling good about them. For some reason, it seems really important to me to have names picked out as soon as we know the genders. I think, however, that we'll keep the names under wraps until they are here in case the names don't seem to fit the actual babies!
Best/worst moments: Worst: dealing with the worry about the babies developig TTTS or losing one twin. Best: I definitely love seeing the LOs at every ultrasound. It's also been really fun to tell our friends and family.
Any movement? I'm not entirely sure,, but I'm definitely on Baby Movement Watch 2012! I know it could be anytime, so everytime I lay down, I get really still and start really focusing in my abdomen and anything that could be baby movement. I've had a few moments of wandering, but nothing that I can say I feel confident about.
How are you feeling? Generally, really good! I'm loving not being so sick anymore. I am still a bit tired, but so much better then the first trimester exhaustion!
Nursery plans? Not positive, but I'm loving gray, white and a brighter color like yellow, aqua, coral, etc. I won't make any absolute decisions until we know the gender, but I want to start working on it ASAP in case I have to go on bed rest or have the babies early.
Who have you told? Everyone and their dog.
If you plan to, where will you register? Probably BuyBuyBaby and maybe somewhere that is everywhere like Target.
Recent u/s pic? I'll wait until our 18 week anatomy scan to update this.

How far along? 16 weeks 1 day
Do you know the gender? Yes! Girl!
Any thoughts on names? Got a few, but we're going to wait to think more seriously about them. It's still so early!
Best/worst moments: Worst: When i got the call about the NT test being funny/waiting for the CVS results. Best: All the good stuff! Milestones, good news, etc.
Any movement? Not yet! The nurse practitioner said it'd be longer for me, based on where the placenta is.
How are you feeling? GREAT!
Nursery plans? We're thinking orange and pink, but so far, it's just a giant mess.
Who have you told? Everybody (not FB). It's not really a secret this far along!
If you plan to, where will you register? Debating between Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us...i hear good things about the former. And probably Amazon.
Recent u/s pic? Eh, it's a month old

How far along? 14w6d
Do you know the gender? If not, when do you expect to find out? No and no (we're Team Green!).
Any thoughts on names? Yes. We have both a boy name and a girl name picked out. We just changed the middle name for a girl (after my paternal grandmother) last week and I'm extra in love with it now!
Best/worst moments: Worst: I've been struggling a lot with what to do about my workouts. Feel very guilt-ridden about it. Best: Deciding on the finalized version of the names. Maybe, possibly feeling a tiny bit of movement yesterday...don't know if that's what it actually was though.
Any movement? I thought I might have felt a couple flutter/bubble like movements yesterday, but I really don't know if that's what it was.
How are you feeling? Great! More energy than normal and no more first tri doldrums. My pregnancy is very much mimicking my mother's so far...she said she felt the best of her whole life.
Nursery plans? Since we're team green, we're keeping it gender neutral (actually, we probably would have anyway even if we found out the sex. I'm planning on a grey, yellow and aqua colour scheme (much like @Mrs. Blue!) with a sort of loose travel-y theme. My Pinterest board is here: http://pinterest.com/hergreenapples/nursery-ideas/
Who have you told? It's on FB, so pretty much everyone. My immediate colleagues know, but the larger organization doesn't (other than my boss). Not exactly sure how to go about that....it seems weird not to say anything though and one day just show up looking really pregnant.
If you plan to, where will you register? I don't know. We have crappy options in Canada. Probably Babies R Us and maybe a local independent store?
Recent u/s pic? Still only have the NT scan pic. Should be getting another one in about three weeks.

How far along? 16w2d
Do you know the gender? No and it's killing me! I had dream the other night we had our scan and it was a girl.
Any thoughts on names? Names were pretty much decided before TTC
Best/worst moments: Worst: How tired and irritable I am Best: Seeing the bean and hearing that heartbeat
Any movement? Still waiting
How are you feeling? much better but still extremely tired if I have a big day/wake early
Nursery plans? Grey and yellow for a girl. Rainbow for a boy. Our nursery is going to be difficult since I need to fit everything in with the queen size bed already in there.
Who have you told? Everybody important. It's not a secret but am not going around blabbing. Def nothing on FB.
If you plan to, where will you register? No registering
Recent u/s pic? 3 and a half more weeks till we find out gender and see the bean again!

hi april mamas!
sorry for being so quiet/MIA - i was in ny for a week for work. it was my first cross country flight since we found out we were expecting....and it went much smoother than i thought it would be! i was paranoid about getting enough circulation in my legs and wore my compression tights on the flight home and kept my legs elevated as much as possible (while i watched some postseason baseball).
we got our blood test results back from our NT scan. everything came back negative/low risk, which was great. for trisonomy 18 and 21 our odds were 1/4500 and for downs it was 1/250. that second number freaked me out for a second but our doctor reminded me that it was still a 0.004% chance.
we also got my prenatal panel results back and i guess my hemoglobin levels were a little concerning and they wanted to have me come in for another blood test so they could make sure i wasn't high risk for gestational diabetes. UGGGH i'll be going in tomorrow to get my blood drawn....wish me luck!
as for bump photos, the bump is definitely there. ever since we went public at work, the bump is peeking out enough for people to notice and start patting my belly. so weird! i need to get over my issue of taking self photos and post a bump pic soon - y'all have the cutest lil baby bumps!
as for symptoms, it's amazing what happens when you hit your 13th week - POOF! no more symptoms and not tired. i consider myself one of the lucky ones, as i have friends who are still so tired and queasy...i hope everyone feels better soon!
we have our anatomy scan at the end of the month and our second nt scan as well. we can't WAIT to find out! i've already started buying baby stuff on sale on gilt/zuliliy and craigslist....all this baby stuff defnitely adds up!
how is everyone feeling this week? is anyone else doing bargain baby shopping and stashing them away??
nectarine / 2591 posts
Am trying not to shop until we know gender but have not been able to resist a couple of really cute girl outfits. I just figure if we have a boy I can give them to my friend who is having a girl.
Can not wait to be able to shop tho.... and start to set up the nursery. Will probably wait till after Christmas before doing much.

@AprilFool: That is great news about the birth center! You must be really happy. Does that mean you'll be delivering with a midwife?
I am on the waiting list for all three midwifery practices in my city with no idea as to whether I will get into one or not, despite the fact that I called when I was 3w6d pregnant! So yesterday I went ahead and hired a doula, which will give me peace of mind if I end up with an OB and will still be wonderful even if I do get in with the midwives.
I'm 15w1d today, and I see the beginnings of a real bump!
ETA: Sorry! I don't know why that showed up sideways and don't know how to fix it.

How far along? 13 weeks, about to turn 14 weeks
Do you know the gender? Not yet - we find out in December!
Any thoughts on names? Girl name and boy name are both ready
Best/worst moments: Worst: Not sleeping at night and being exhausted all the time. Best: just how happy my husband is
Any movement? Yes, some at 9 weeks, I think I might have felt a little flutter last week, but it wasn't as strong as it had been before so I'm not 100% sure
How are you feeling? I've adjusted better to being so tired than in the beginning, so that's good. I still have some nausea or stomach pains every now and then. For the most part, I feel really blessed to not have had horrible m/s.
Nursery plans? Gray walls, crib is set up with a mattress, glider is ordered, dresser and nightstand are ready to go. Just need to know whether I'm decorating for a boy or a girl!
Who have you told? Everyone. Had my first "belly pet" yesterday. At work. UGH!
If you plan to, where will you register? Not sure if we're registering?
Recent u/s pic? Last u/s was at 8 weeks, won't have another until the anatomy scan + gender determination at 20ish weeks

@sylvie_b: I'm making a deal with myself to wait until Thanksgiving & then I can start shopping for cheap baby stuff. We're going to try to get some used on craigslist, too.
Right now I'm preparing for maternity clothes shopping!
(as a side note, I just put in a name change request to change my username to Silva because I hate 'mountainmama' for a lot of reasons- then I came over here and thought "crap! I'm totally copying her!" - so sorry!)

@bpaig: That's early baby movement! I'm jealous. I really think this week I *might* be feeling the occasional movement, but I'm still not sure even at 16 weeks!
apricot / 348 posts
@Mrs. Blue: Super early! I'm carrying the baby right under my skin, with the placenta all the way back towards my spine, which is why they said I could feel him/her so early. It was fun at my appointment, because I was able to point to exactly where the doppler needed to go to hear the heartbeat, based on where I'd felt movement! I am sure that you'll feel BOTH of them moving around soon
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@bpaig: That is really cool! I can't wait to feel movement. I'm 13weeks now, so it will be a bit longer!

How far along? 15+3
Do you know the gender? Not yet - but I think we've decided to find out at our u/s on Nov 12!
Any thoughts on names? We have some ideas, but nothing concrete
Best/worst moments: Best would be seeing myself get bigger and have a tiny bump! Worst is that I am still sick.
Any movement? Maybe! I've felt some flutters but who knows.
How are you feeling? Blah. Still struggling with m/s, but at the same time I want to eat everything in sight!!
Nursery plans? Planning on a vintage-y, bright colored nursery.
Who have you told? Pretty much everyone, but nothing on facebook yet.
If you plan to, where will you register? A little boutique local store, and Babies R Us.
Recent u/s pic? Don't have any!!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
Movement! So jealous. Must be amazing!
I'm still only 13+5 and waiting around to get a bit further along.
I think we're going to be sneaky and book an elective (non medical) ultrasound scan at 16 weeks to do an early gender peek.
pomegranate / 3398 posts
@bpaig: Oh yay someone else pretty early on that thinks they felt something!! I've had a few 'flutters' in the bottom of my belly and since this isn't my first rodeo I'm fairly positive it was baby.
It's only happened a couple times but I'm excited to start feeling the baby!
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
Hi!
We had our NT scan today and got more ultrasound pics. The OB who did the scan was pretty no nonsense and didn't say much except that the baby looked active. The results should be back in about two weeks...no news is good news.
Looks like I have another thumb sucker!
