    Mamas with back pain - I bought a yoga ball and have been sitting on it off and on, and it has really helped my low back/hip pain. I've also been having soreness around my tailbone from sitting at work, and that feels better too. It's no miracle cure... but thought I'd share as a PSA because it does feel great!

    @bpaig: I don't have back pain yet but I will definitely keep that in mind! Thanks for the tip!

    So pleased to say things went well. Our 30 minute ultrasound went for nearly 2 hours, since baby was NOT being helpful (again!) - stubborn like her mama. Yep, still a SHE baby, we checked again!

    So far, so good. Measuring on track for 19 weeks, no medical anomalies pointed out, so now we just breathe a sigh of relief and hope she keeps on being a rockstar baby.

    CHECK OUT HER GORGEOUS FACE!

    @autumnlove: & @Jennimac: & @hergreenapples: & @Silva: & @Mrs. Blue: & @Pumpkinspice: & @sslm: Thank you ladies so very much. I am so over the moon that she's looking okay - I haven't slept this well for months. All I want is for her to be healthy!!!

    Here are the two of us at 19+2!

    We just found out we are also going to be team PINK!!!!!

    We had the most in depth ultrasound ever! It was wonderful. They don't see any issues with her right now but do want us to see a pediatric cardiologist to scan her heart just to be 100% sure.
    I do have to take some diabetes meds now but they said that's not my fault and my blood pressure is looking great!
    All in all good news. We gets the down syndrome tests results on Friday and with that we will be completely good to relax. But, I think we are gonna be just fine!

    @Pumpkinspice: another girl, congrats!!!!

    Sorry about the meds!

    @autumnlove: Yep that'll be 3 girls for me lol
    And it's just one more pill lol as long as she's healthy I'll take whatever they tell me to.
    She never stopped moving. It was amazing. She is measuring 19 weeks 5 days and I'm only 18 weeks 4 days so she's already big!

    @Pumpkinspice: is your DH excited?!

  17. Crisark

    pomegranate / 3398 posts

    @autumnlove: He's excited because she's seeming to be healthy and so am I. I think part of him wanted a boy but he's not upset about it at all.

    One thing I forgot to add above, as a last precaution we are seeing a pediatric cardiologist just to scan her heart and be absolutely sure! But, the Perinatologist said he saw nothing that concerned him!

    Hey mamas!

    Sooo sorry for being MIA but some good stuff has been happening and I wanted to share the exciting news with my fellow April mamas!

    ...after living in our charming (but only 1 bdrm) apartment for the last 7 years, the hubs and I found the perfect little house for our growing family. We're still renting, but it's a single family home with a garage, backyard, 3 rooms and open layout so we can cook in the kitchen and keep an eye on the little dude (when he arrives in April). And now we can have an actual nursery, instead of turning one of our closets into a mini nursery like we had planned.

    We just painted the rooms with benjamin moore's natura (no voc) paint and that stuff is great....doesn't smell like paint at all.

    We officially move in a week and we're just relieved we can still live in SF for a few more years!

    Any other mamas hoping to move soon?

    @jaguar: baby girl jag couldn't be more gorgeous!!! So happy she's healthy, my dear!
    @Pumpkinspice: yay for a great ultrasound and healthy baby!

    @Pumpkinspice: Congrats on the girl, and I'm glad everything is looking good!

    @sylvie_b: Your new place sounds perfect!

    We will be finding out in March where my husband's residency program will be. He will start the program in June, so if we are relocating to another area, we will have to move by then. Sounds fun, eh? If we stay in the same town we're in town, we won't move and will just make due with our little apartment.

    He's in the interview process right now, so we still haven't created our list of programs- basically we have to make a list of programs in order of preference, and then there is a match day where he will be assigned (based on how the programs ranked him).

    I love to plan things and have control, but obviously there is none of that right now. Its taking a lot of work to be at peace with the "not knowing" of this entire process. I just have to keep telling myself that I have everything I want and need in my little family, and we will be fine and happy wherever we end up. Even if it involves moving out of state with a 4-week old infant.

    @Pumpkinspice: YAY! Welcome to Team Pink - third go 'round for you. Huzzah! Sounds like she's growing beautifully healthy in there.
    @sylvie_b: This is fab news - a new home, ready for a new little munchkin to fill it up. I'm thrilled for you & Mr. O!
    @Silva: It will definitely work out the way it's supposed to - being flexible and 'going with the flow' is hard, but totally do-able. You'll have your gorgeous bundle to tide you over.

    We just found out we are having a little boy! We are so excited to see that he looks healthy too! I feel like our family is complete with our daughter and son although I am sad to get rid of all my super cute little girl clothes. Now I am on to finding the perfect nursery inspirations!

    Just curious if anyone has decided on names yet? We so far from finalizing a name for our baby girl!

  30. Mrs. Blue

    blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts

    @autumnlove: I *think* we have names picked out finally, but it has been such a struggle for us to think of boy names. We're waiting to officially name them until we see them and make sure our names match their cute, little faces!

    Our girl names were going to be Liesel Catherine and Celia Lynn (middle names would have come from each grandma). I was so on love with those names, it made me extra sad to not get to use them!

    @MrsHotDog: Congratulations on your little man! xxx
    @blackbird: I'm breathing a sigh of relief - hoping she keeps on growing healthy and strong. Thanks!
    @autumnlove: Beautiful picture!
    @Mrs. Blue: I love those names - but I know your little men will have perfect names for them too.

    As for names... I have her full name picked out. Have had it for AGES & was given a 'sign' (if you believe in that sort of thing) the morning of our 16 week scan, so it's sticking with me. Hubby still loves Abigail though! He won't let go!

    Oh man we have not done names yet. We suck. We have a first name we like but we are totally procrastinating and we don't know if there's something out there we like more yet

  33. heartonastring

    pomegranate / 3895 posts

    @autumnlove: We had names decided before we TTC. Both are traditional family names. I can't wait until baby is born and we find out if we'll be using our boy name or our girl name. We're not sharing them and I know that our family members will be really touched by the names we've chosen once baby is here

    @MrsHotDog: Congratulations on your son!
    @Pumpkinspice: Yay for your baby girl!

    22 week U/S was good. The boys are a little closer in size this time, so that was good!

    Anyone working on any baby plans this weekend? We are determined to finally clean out the nursery and then just decorate the house for Christmas!

    Tomorrow is our anatomy scan and GENDER ultrasound and I am about to go insane! Cannot wait. We're keeping it a secret that we're having the u/s tomorrow and telling everyone that we won't find out until closer to Christmas because I want to get to tell my mom in person when we're home for Christmas... but it is just killing me!!! I don't know how I will sleep tonight!

    @bpaig: Ahhh! Fun! DH was so nervous when we were on our way in to the gender scan appt. that he tried to get me to go on the wrong elevator and was totally flustered the whole time. It was so cute! Have you decided how you're going to tell your mom?
