mrs blue, you are basically past full term considering you are having twins! you are totally allowed to just hit that wall. i, too, think you need to do something nice for yourself and just relax. put your feet up, maybe go to a pool and swim (it feels really nice!) and don't try to clean or do anything that will make you feel crappy.

@Pumpkinspice: You look fabulous!!!!!
I'm getting cross with myself... I feel so unorganised but I quite literally don't know what to do next about planning for this bub to arrive. Also, I'm crabby because this second trimester is going on FOREVER.

@Pumpkinspice: Beautiful bump, lady!
@blackbird: Thanks! Swimming/taking a bath/shower/pretty much anything with water are one of the few things that still always feels good to me. Definitely need to go for a swim soon. Thanks for the encouragement. I felt much more emotionally up for the task yesterday and today. I think I just needed a little breakdown and some HB sympathy to perk me back up!
@jaguar: I feel like the weeks go by fast, but the days go by sloooooow. You really don't have too much of the second tri left now, though! Almost there.

I missed two weeks while I was on vacation! Here I am at 25 and 26 weeks!

Happy new year, ladies!
@silva - glad to hear you liked the "operating instructions" book. I just ordered a copy off of Amazon based on a friend's reco.
Also, I love your baby bump pic! It's the kind of pregnancy photo I'd like to get. So many of them are these vaguely sexy, nude photos that just don't do it for me. I like more coverage that still shows a bump.
@mrsblue - so sorry to hear about how awful you were feeling recently and glad to hear you're feeling a little better now. I wish your Dr. had been able to give you a little bit of comfort during your check-up. Sometimes we just need a little sympathy, and encouragement in a rough patch. I hope you're getting in some nice "me" time since then!
@bpaig, @pumpkinspice, @sslm - lovely bumps, ladies!

I've been awful about taking baby bump pictures! Not a single one so far, and my friends have been asking for one. So finally posting one at week 24!
I don't intend to do too much, nursery-wise (at least in terms of decor). But I do at least need to get the basics and baby gear but am getting pretty overwhelmed with everything you can buy! I ordered a copy of Baby Bargains and have recos from my mom girlfriends on things to get/skip.
Is it wrong to be tired of baby-related reading already? I guess it's feeling like homework!
DH and I have done a bit of housecleaning (aka sending our extra stuff to the in-laws' house for storage and donating some things), so at least feel like we've made a bit of progress on that front. Slow & steady...

@nycbee: Very cute bump!!!
So I bought a purple Moby today and I am so excited about it! We now have that and a borrowed from my sister Ergo in our arsenal. I am just so excited to put little baby girl in the Moby

@Silva: It did yesterday but it is back to normal today! Maybe the baby was smooshed against it?! Lol

@autumnlove: Ha- mine just keeps looking weirder and weirder. You look great

@sslm: @jaguar: @autumnlove: @nycbee: You all look fantastic! I can't believe we're all getting so close to finishing up the second trimester!
I hit 27 weeks this weekend, and I got to spend the weekend with my brother, SIL, and niece that are home for a couple months from across the world. My SIL is due in February, so it was fun to be pregnant on the same continent for a couple of days.
We're starting to look for my replacement for work, which makes it seem crazy real that I'll have babies sometime in the next 9 weeks. Yeah, 9 weeks, people--I have GOT to get a bunch done in January! Last week, I found out that I'll get to take 12 weeks of mat. leave, though, so I'm super, duper happy about that.
What's everyone up to this week?

@jaguar: @Silva: @Mrs. Blue: Thanks! My appetite has really picked up...I am hungry ALL the time!
I can't wait to see more bump pictures from April moms! I hope everyone is doing well.

@Mrs. Blue: 9 weeks! Omgosh! My due date is still 14+6 away, so a long ways compared to yours! 12 weeks of mat leave sounds great!
It's 44 celcius today (burn your face off HOT) so I'm hiding out inside.
@autumnlove: My appetite has totally taken off this week - as has the weight gain. *gulp*

@jaguar: So cute!!! I love that color on you! And also, 44 degrees? GROSS. It occasionally gets that hot here in the summer and it's just awful. I don't leave the house.
@autumnlove: You are so adorable! I love the toms. Can't wait for spring to come so I can wear my new ones
@Mrs. Blue: Thanks! And 9 weeks, wowza!! That is so exciting lady!!!

As an aside, wohoo! I am a nectarine! Does anyone have any bee level goals before baby?
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@sslm: Yay! I want to make it to pineapple before baby!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@sslm: I have NO plans to leave the house today.
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I don't know the levels here. I'm so used to the WB ones, I don't know what's next on HB!

@jaguar: Looks like kiwi is next for you! http://www.hellobee.com/2011/09/16/bee-levels/
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@sslm: Oh thanks! I shall aim for KIWI then. I have no idea what a Clementine is.

@jaguar: @sslm: 37 weeks is the absolute latest they will let me go, and 36 is more likely, which is why my Littles will be here so soon. My actual due date is still 12w5d away.
I think I'll shoot for nectarine before the Littles' arrival.

@Mrs. Blue: You might be our first April mama to have her bubs - can't believe it. I am SO ready for little one to be here. (Ya know, if our crib replacement would ever freakin' arrive.)
Although I DID order a rocking chair on Friday, which got here yesterday... that redeemed my faith in furniture deliveries.

@jaguar: That looks comfy! I have a similar glider in my LO's room!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@mrs blue, you'll definitely be the first of us! I'm right behind you and I have 11.5 weeks to go, if i make it all the way to week 40! It'll be nice to have so many people whose babies are within a week or two of mine!

It has officially happened, ladies. I have sprouted stretchmarks this week. I don't know exactly when it happened because they are only on the bottom of my tummy, which I can't see. It's so weird because I feel like that is the least stretched out part of my skin. They are pretty small right now and not to angry looking, but I'm terrified of what they will look like in another 9 weeks. I keep thinking if I was only having one I would be almost as big as I would get and my stretchmarks would probably stay minimal. Sad face.

@blackbird: Yes, it will be nice to have other mamas whose babies are so close in age as we wade through figuring out this whole parenting thing!
@jaguar: That looks so comfy!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@autumnlove: It's awesome. The big smooshy back cushion of the chair is just gorgeous.
@Mrs. Blue: I've had stretch marks since PRE-pregnancy (but have new ones that are sprouting too) so I feel your pain. Think of 'em as battle scars.

I just finished sewing my first wool diaper cover! It is so cute! It was a pretty easy & fun project, too. I think I will make a few more, but I want to wait and see how the sizing works out once the baby is here.
I finished one changing pad cover, and have a second one in the works.
My next project (after those two are done) is to dye some onesies. I like bright, solid colors and was having trouble finding ones, but saw an easy tutorial on dying and thought it would be fun to try.

April mamas it has been too long! We had 3 week babymoon traveling around the US and then the holidays. Big things have happened in that time..... namely my belly! People have started telling me how big I am, not exactly loving that. First pic is 23 wks and 2nd is 27 wks. This week we officially hit the third trimester!
Everybody seems like they have been so busy! Our nursery is coming along. We have all the furniture now just waiting for the accessories and wall decal.
Maybe time for another check in?
How far along: 28 weeks
Gender: Girl
Stretch marks: a few around the back of my hips. All my weight has been going onto my bum so not surprised.
Belly Button: A super shallow innie, made DH stick his finger in to see the other day.
Sleep: Was going really well, I was feeling lucky, but this week has been awful. I hate the body pillow but need something and the insomnia is cranking up.
Movement: Oh my... sometimes it feels like she is trying to bust out... it's a little full on.
Cravings: Nothing in particular
Name: We had one picked before even our BFP but a few weeks ago we completely changed our mind. Now we can't agree on anything. Am hoping once we see here I might get my way
What I'm looking forward to: Finishing work. Counting down..... but it's not soon enough.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach.
Emotions: This week they have been horrible. I have cried a lot the last 3 days and have been pretty down. Just waiting to bounce back
Shower: Set for Feb 10th. But have been a huge source of drama and a little bit of a shambles so not sure how it's going to go.
