@sslm: My back is killing me too, and I've gained a LOT in the last fortnight - slightly terrifying.

@sslm: thanks!!! Can't wait until we have an April Baby update board!

@sslm: thanks! My due date was changed to the 20th... I sort of keep track based on a date half way between... Very confusing
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@sslm: Thanks for putting this together!
Sorry I've been kind of out of it lately. My replacement started at work today and we have two weeks to overlap before I'm on leave, so I've been super busy. Unless they make an early appearance, I officially have 3-4 more weeks until babies! We've been going like crazy trying to buy last minute stuff, clean the house, pack a hospital bag, etc. I'm one tired mama, but it is so nice to be checking things off the list! Me and my swollen feet are so excited that D-Day is within site now!

@Mrs. Blue: I can't believe how soon you get to meet your babies! I'm so excited for you!

I'm actually due March 30th! They changed my original due date and I've been on-track for March 30th
@mrsblue, I can't believe you only have 3-4 weeks to go! That's SO SOON!!!!! So exciting!!!!!

Had our second growth scan yesterday and baby girl is a little over 4LBS!! And measuring 32weeks and I'm 30 and a half weeks.
I have twice weekly nonstress tests starting next week on top of once weekly bio physical ultrasounds and bi weekly dr appts with weekly faxing of my sugar readings. Yeah, it's getting busy lol
My BP is creeping up a little so we are doing a ton of blood work and a 24hr urine collection to watch for PreClampsia.
I've only gained 7lbs! So, they are still happy with me, yay!!
Here is the latest picture of baby girl pumpkinspice!

have any of you guys noticed a change in movement yet? baby is still active- my doctor says I only need to make sure there are 10 movements a day which there definitely are. But the movements today were fairly weak- even yesterday I was getting some painful, strong jabs and today its only been weak movements (and mostly what I assume are arms/shoulders/elbows- no real strong movements up higher where the legs are).
I already called once freaking out about movement and they told me that as long as I can count 10 movements a day, and movement counts.
Baby is probably just getting bigger and not able to move as dramatically, right?

@Pumpkinspice: Beautiful baby girl! I feel like I've gained 7lbs in the last fortnight - HUGE growth, most on my ass.
@blackbird: March - as in NEXT MONTH. Oh, it's getting real.
@Mrs. Blue: I hope you're taking it easy as much as you can. So excited for you to meet the boys!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Yeah silva-the movements get more slide-y and less pokey! It's more like a giant shift at once
Omg I know Jaguar! 5.5 weeks, eeP
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Silva: My jabs have slowed down - replaced by what I call 'slow-mo movements' ... shuffling around in there.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@Silva: Yep! A few weeks ago it started feeling more like a rolling motion instead of kicks. Definitely normal!
pomegranate / 3398 posts
@Silva: Yes it's normal for the movements to seem different and like @blackbird: it's more of a full move and 'slide-y' would be the best way to describe it.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@blackbird: Yes. I feel like I knew that!! I'll update it on the next one since I can't edit anymore

Hey ladies. Everyone is looking great. I've been lurking but not posting much. Today is 34 weeks for me. I can not believe it. Yesterday I was at the OB and everything is looking good. The baby finally moved into a head down position. Today a lady at work told me it looks like I've dropped and she gives me 4 more weeks. I hope I make it closer to my due date than that.
Next week I start training my replacement. I only have 4 weeks of work left. This past weekend I got all the baby stuff washed and mostly put away and some of the decorating of the nursery done. This coming weekend we have a full weekend of prenatal class at the hospital. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not looking forward to not having much time at home to relax this weekend.

*sneaky maternity leaver already here*
Baby girl is measuring 2 weeks ahead now based on belly measurements. Is it bad that I'm now starting to worry that she'll be a HUGE size at birth? I'm 31+4, belly at 34cm.
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
I'm planning to work up to my due date, at least. They still haven't come up with a plan for my maternity leave coverage- so I keep getting new clients, which makes me a little unhappy. I am trying to just focus on doing a thorough assessment / providing short term support (I'm a therapist at a residential facility), but it seems unfair to the clients to start work with someone who is leaving in about 8 weeks max.
I had a major melt down / freak out about movement yesterday. The dr's office was really sweet, and had me come in today for some reassurance. Of course, we listened on the doppler for 20 minutes without any movement- but they said everything sounds great. We have our regular appointment on Monday, so we'll check again then.
How are you guys doing with weight? I had been feeling totally fine about my weight gain until I stepped on today and saw I was up 6 pounds from my last appointment (4 weeks ago), which brings my total to about 30 pounds gained. The doctor has my starting weight at 5 pounds heavier than normal, though- so they count me as up 25. I still have 8 weeks to go though, and I am absolutely starving all of the time. Not to mention, exhausted and so exercising less and less.
Trying not to beat myself up about it- but man, those big numbers are surprisingly hard to see.

I start maternity leave in one week! And babies a week or two after that. I'm jealous of @jaguar:! I cannot wait!!
As for weight gain, I'm up 40 at 34 weeks. I started swelling more in the last week and that seems to have shot my weight up more than usual--I gained 6 lbs this week and didn't eat differently. I was really trying to stay under 45 total, but since I have 2-3 weeks left, I'm not sure I'll make it. Oh, we'll, as long as they arrive safely, I'll be happy, but I'm not looking forward to trying to lose the baby weight plus the extra pounds I was carrying pre-pregnancy.
We had an u/s today. The boys were estimated at 4 lbs 12 oz & 4 lbs 8 oz. They have said that Mar. 16 (37w0d) is the absolute last day they will let the babies keep cooking, so I'm guessing they will probably be about 5 1/2 pounds each if they don't come before that. I'm sooooo ready to hold my little peanuts! Sadly, she didn't do any 3d views of their faces today and didn't give us any pics, so I have nothing to show off today.

@Mrs. Blue: Those are great sizes! You are good at growing babies! You are so close- you will have to promise to keep us all updated about life with your babies

I'm working up until my due date (from home thankfully!) my job is easy to schlep off
Weight wise? Ugh. 43 lb at 35 weeks. I eat healthy, I exercise, I've just accepted it's doing what it needs to. But it's all belly and all out front and it's hard to carry it! People are still surprised that I have so little to go, so I must be hiding it well, haha!
I'm in the dr office waiting for a scan!!!
pomegranate / 3398 posts
I'm going to work as long as possible. I won't stop until my dr approves it so that I can start my short term disability.
She's already threatened partial bed rest around 35 to 36 weeks so it probably won't be long lol
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Silva: I'm up 13kg - 28lbs I think. Bad, because I wanted to stay under 10kg, since I was heavy to start with - and bad, because I have 8 more weeks to go. (hold me!)
@Mrs. Blue: What amazing weights - you are doing an INCREDIBLE job of bringing up your two boys. xx
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
I had a scan yesterday and the baby looks great! She's measuring right on the 48%-tile at 5 lb and 9 oz at 35 weeks. They're estimating she'll be about 7.5 lb, maybe 8. I know the estimate could be a little high, too, if she is a longer baby (quite possible since I'm so tall). She was too smushed up to get any good photos, but it was so nuts watching her put her hands in her mouth and play with her toes. It was so lifelike.
pomelo / 5621 posts
I'm up about 40lbs, well probably more I haven't weighed myself in just over a week. I'm 34 weeks. I had to stop caring about the numbers and remember that they are just numbers. I know I am eating mostly good and my body is doing what it needs for this baby.
I do look forward to getting back to the gym after and wearing my regular clothes though. I haven't worked out since the end of November, but the start of that was out of my control.
What is everyone doing this weekend? We have our prenatal class at the hospital today and tomorrow. Just going to make a nice big breakfast and head out the door.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@alv, I SO hear you on old work out clothes! I finally can no longer fit into my pre pregnancy work out stuff and had to buy some cheap shorts at Target. With 5 weeks to go! How obnoxious. I did 30 min on the elliptical this morning and kept thinking about how nice it'll be to not be SO winded while doing it in a couple months
I've got errands and cleaning today and lunch with a friend. Tomorrow we're going to see Book of Mormon!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
We're working on the house & to do list mostly, but we are having dinner with friends tonight, which will be fun. I always wander if something will be the "last time" before the babies arrive, so I'm trying to extra enjoy all of our dinners out, hanging with friends, etc.
I've been dreaming about going into labor every night for the last few nights. Anyone else starting to have these kinds of dreams?

@sslm: & @blackbird: Thanks ladies.
We were going to put baby in the tiny nursery room, but decided to keep it a study & put her in the bigger spare room instead. She can have that room as she grows up, too!
