@blackbird: sounds like stuff might be getting ready I think cramping is expected at this point!!
@jaguar: glad you're feeling better and you get to see baby soon!!! You're still looking fantastic
@Silva: ouch, that sounds unpleasant!! You're so cute though!
@Mrs. Blue: good luck today!!! I am so excited for you!!!!! Can't wait for an update

As for me... Not much to report at this point. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow, I can hardly believe it's so close. We installed the carseat over the weekend, and I got my hospital bag almost packed, just need to pick up a travel toothbrush for me and one for DH too.
DH's coworkers threw him a surprise shower on Friday and they were all so generous. We are now pretty much bursting at the seams with baby stuff, especially clothes.
My MIL is having a shower for me on Saturday, I'm excited about that. Some of DH's family is coming that haven't seen me pregnant yet! Should be fun see previous paragraph though, I don't know how much more stuff we can handle!!!

@blackbird: Sounds like things are getting ready!
@sslm: Awww, so nice of your DH's coworkers to throw a shower! Glad to hear you got the carseat installed - were you able to attend the clinic for it? DH did ours last weekend and just followed the directions in my car manual and also the ones that came with the carseat. He's pretty good at that sort of thing, so hopefully he did it correctly. And yay for 36 weeks for both of us tomorrow. 36 weeks seems very pregnant, no?!
AFM, I had an exhausting weekend. Had to work part of the day on Saturday and then spent the rest of the day making food to freeze. Yesterday was my first shower. It was really lovely and the gifts were so generous. It was over an hour's drive away though, so I was spent by the time I left. The fact that sleeping is becoming increasingly difficult isn't helping.
I'm only working three days this week - thank goodness! Taking Wednesday off because I have a couple different medical appointments (and a hair appointment!) and on Friday my mum is going to come visit and we will blitz the rest of the freezer meals. I have 2.5 more weeks of work and I feel like a zombie....not sure how I'm going to make it.

@hergreenapples: we are going to the clinic this weekend, we are not super handy with this kind of thing so the extra peace of mind will be good! 36 weeks does feel super pregnant!! I hear you on the zombie thing. I'm now taking the next 2 Wednesdays off just to break things up a bit. The 45 min bus commute each way is killing me!!!!

I start working from home 2-3 days/week next week. I am SO looking forward to being home/comfortable and working from my bed, haha.

@blackbird: OMG - I wish I had a job that was compatible with working from home! I do face-to-face appointments all day though, so not possible for me. So glad that you're going to be able to stay home a few days/week. Hopefully you'll be able to just stay in your PJs and get comfy. Beats sitting in an office and wearing work clothes!

Good Luck Mrs Blue!!
I woke up with really swollen hands and high BP again today. Called the dr. and I go in this afternoon. Then have a BPP ultrasound next door at the hospital and then right after that I have a NST up in labor and delivery. My DH thinks they will probably pull the trigger on bedrest but who knows.
I'm def not feeling great and it's all a bit overwhelming.

@Pumpkinspice: so sorry about the complications & possible bed rest. I hope things go well for you today

@hergreenapples, oh definitely. I only do it when I'm sick or have extenuating circumstances, but my boss knows i'm deathly afraid my water will break AT work and/or i'll start contracting and be scared to drive home, ha. And, let's face it, who doesn't wanna wear pajamas? My "work clothes' are basically yoga pants and dresses, anyways. I'm just glad he gets it!
@pumpkinspice, I hope it's nothing!! But if it is bed rest, you did make it pretty far!

@sslm: So exciting! Our car-seats are next on our list.
@hergreenapples: Home stretch now, love - almost there! I'm so impressed that you're working up so late. Keep feeling well! I have containers ready to freeze but NO idea what to cook yet.
@Pumpkinspice: Let us know how you go - thinking of you! xx

I've been MIA for a while but wanted to check in to see how everyone is doing - hard to believe that our babies are so close to being here!
At 34 weeks, I'm feeling behind but have been slowly getting things knocked off the list. Got a bunch of meals in the freezer a few weeks ago. Am working on a stockpile of snacks/drinks for during labor. Need to return some duplicates that we got off our registry at my shower last week. The nursery is nearly done but not quite finished. Then I need to get some stuff purchased for me such as breast pump, nursing tanks, etc that I won't want to leave the house for.
Excited to hear how things go for @Mrs. Blue! @Pumpkinspice thinking of you, hope things went well at your appointment.

@Mrs. Blue: Good luck for today. Can't wait to meet the first April babies. Hope all goes well!
@Pumpkinspice: sorry to hear about bedrest. It's never fun in the hospital. Hope you get to go home to your own bed soon and all is well with bubba.
AFM. 37 wks and it's my birthday. Going to have a nice low key day and last fancy meal with my hubby before we are 3.

Thanks ladies! Our goal is to keep baby girl in for at least two more weeks. I did get steroid shot in the butt none the less lol to boost up her lungs. I'm really worried they will want me to have a c section since labor is so stressful but we haven't discussed that yet. Dh had to leave me for the night so he could be home with our LO's and that's hard cause he and I aren't normally a part. Oh well it is what it is.

Two weeks is not far away and if it helps, the people I know IRL have been like, c section is no biggie. I know HB is super anti csection but it'll be fine no matter what!

@bpaig: I need to pick your brains for freezer meal suggestions!!!
@Pumpkinspice: Ah, that was me this past weekend. Try to get as much rest as you can. x

@AprilFool, Happy Birthday!!!!!
@Jaguar, here's what I made for freezer meals:
Hawaiian meatballs, muffins, sausage/pepper/onion crockpot meal, white chicken enchiladas, thai curry, veggie burger patties, spaghetti sauce, chicken spaghetti, tamales, chicken noodle soup, breakfast burritos, and i'm making some korean soup broth this weekend. My freezer is STOCKED.

@blackbird: wow! That's impressive. I only have a couple of things in my freezer at this point! Hoping to make a few more things over the next couple of weeks.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
I did a TON of cooking over the last few weeks. Put a fork in me
The nursery is, like, 90% finished now! DH is painting the heart shelf and drawers and putting crystal knobs on them and I'm working on a wall quilt for one of the other walls. And I plan on putting some canvases of her newborn photos up, too. So the walls are still bare, but everything's in there that needs to be!

@blackbird: Awww...your nursery looks BEAUTIFUL. Nicely done, mama! I love your kitty

@pumpkin spice: so sorry to hear you're on bedrest Hopeful you can at least rest at home rather than the hospital.
@blackbird: Love the nursery!
@jaguar: we try to eat gluten-free/low-carb when we can, so my freezer is stocked with: multiple steaks in a marinade + separate bags of chopped veggies to toss on the grill, multiple roasts with chopped carrots, potatoes and onions to toss into the crockpot, 5 batches of taco soup, 3 batches of chicken tortilla soup, 3 batches of chicken soup, several pounds of browned beef (individually frozen), several bags of veggies in microwave steamer bags, and several pork loin. All stuff that can be taken out and literally tossed into a skillet or into the crock pot without needing any other prep work.

Just checking in after this morning's ultrasound to say that baby, as suspected, has flipped back to head down...YAY! Baby is not yet engaged and is posterior, but there's still time for both of those to change, just glad to hear that we don't have a breech baby on our hands anymore
Measuring 36w5d (I'm 36w1d) and approximately 6lbs4oz with a lot of hair!

I am officially done with work. Woooooo!!! I threw my maternity tights in the bin and yay for no more closed in shoes until after birth.
@hergreenapples: yay for a well behaved turning bub.

@hergreenapples: wohoo!! I am so jealous of the hair. We're pretty sure our baby will be bald, both DH and I were as babies.
@AprilFool: Exciting!!! I cannot wait to be done work. I'll be living in sweatpants.

We had our growth scan - baby measuring perfectly at 34+3. She has lots of hair too, but was NOT very good at co-operating for a good picture this time.
