@hergreenapples I did! 8 weeks was a good week for morning sickness... barely any! It has increased again for week 9 but no where as bad as it was before, just on and off, mainly when I am hungry.
@mountainmama So sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Lucky americans with your 3 day weekend.... so jealous! This was my weekend to work and I am just exhausted. Hope you all enjoy your extra day off

My skin has decided that it wants to look awful...it is so greasy and I have tiny bumps on my forehead. Sigh.
How is everyone feeling?

Sorry I've been MIA. I have been feeling awful, nauseous, tired, and blah. I haven't felt much like being on a computer!!!! Hope everyone is well :).

I'm feeling blah. Since I wont know for another week and a half how far along I actually am I'm guessing 6 weeks plus a few days. The tiredness, boob hurting, moodiness has hit an all time high! My nausea comes and goes lately. I've been dealing more with that at night. Can't wait for the sweet relief that should be the 2nd trimester lol (At least it has been the other two times )

@Crisark: We might be due date twins! Had my pregnancy confirmed at my prenatal intake appointment with a nurse today. EDD is 4/26 but the baby will be delivered 1-2 weeks before by scheduled c-section!

hi april mamas!
our first U/S is tomorrow @ 11:30am (pacific time) and i'm a ball of nerves. any happy, healthy, relaxing vibes are welcome and forever appreciated.
@sslm: ohhh, i hope the lousy symptoms go away soon! all i want to do is hide in our bed until i feel like a normal human again.
@Crisark: i feel you on the symptoms, girl. (holy painful bbs!) the 2nd trimester can't come soon enough!

you guys!
our dr's appt took our breath away. we looooove our doctor, she's funny and warm and has a cute boston terrier named chloe who hangs out at the office. and we finally got to see our little peanut. she looked healthy and her heart was beating strong and fast (200bpm!) and the doctor said she's measuring perfectly at 8wks + 4 days. we'll be back at the end of the month for our crazy tests and for now we can't stop looking at this adorable picture. who knew a little bean could make you feel so much love?
THANK YOU for all the warm wishes, ladies! sprinkling all kinds of magical feel good vibes on all of you. xoxo

Just got a call from the nurse at my OB's office. My blood work is back and my glucose levels are on the high side...5.7 out of a normal range of 4.8 - 5.9 and they will classify me as having gestational diabetes. So bummed right now!

@autumnlove: Oh I'm sorry!!
And the actual throwing up of 'morning sickness' got me today
My lunch made it probably a half hour and now I'm feeling yucky. I just wanna go home. I hate throwing up and I had kept it off for a while. Booo

@sylvie_b: beautiful! I feel in awe every time!
@autumnlove: Bummer! Did they just determine that from your initial blood work? I don't think I've had any tests for that yet.
@Crisark. That's the worst! So sorry!
Our update:
I had my first doctor's appointment after The Ultrasound. It was with the nurse practitioner, who is possibly my favorite person ever. She's so amazing. She basically said my regular doctor can't see me until Nov., so she scheduled me with one of the others in two weeks. She said it didn't really matter who I saw since I would probably start seeing the fetal medicine and maternal specialist more than anyone, which is fine with me. She thought I would need to come to dr. visits every two weeks, which bums me out a little bit because it means I will have miss work for two different appointments every two weeks. My boss is going to LOVE me. :).
She used the tummy ultrasound and could see the babies, but just barely since they are still so little for that type of U/S! It was so fun to have an ultrasound and actually be looking for our second LO, instead of shocked by it! It made me really excited to go to our next "real" U/S.

@Mrs. Blue: Never thought I would love ultrasounds so much! My next one is due Wednesday for the 12 week visit. My doctor says the due date is even earlier than I calculated, perhaps March 31st or April 1st? I'm on the edge of being in this group!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Yay border buddies! I'm technically March 31st, but I'm measuring a little behind. Early april/early march is all i know.
Anyone having a hard time keeping it a secret? I'm 10 weeks, but this is my third pregnancy, so I think I'm showing quickly. I've had people asking me at the gym, asking our coach at the gym, and some of my girlfriends are like, "dude, i know, just confirm it". And one of my male coworkers/friends IM'd me about a "glow" i was having. EEP.
I'm really, really trying not to tell too many people until our next u/s on Thursday, since I have m/c at 12 weeks before.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@serendipity: We'll claim you no matter what! I lurk on March, too, since my doctor says they'll be super duper happy if I get to 38 weeks (March 23).

@blackbird: Yay! Looks like we are due date twins! I think it's common after 1st/2nd pregnancy to show earlier, don't you think? It is hard to keep it a secret. I haven't figured out when I should tell everyone at my new job. Stressful but I'm so happy.
@Mrs. Blue: so thrilled that you're having twins! I can't wait to see their next ultrasound!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
They do say you show earlier with subsequent pregnancies.
I'm 8 weeks soon. So ridiculously thrilled. Each week is a milestone that makes me SO happy!

@jaguar: I always find myself "counting down" and feel super accomplished with the arrival of each new week!

How was everyone's weekend? I felt sooo good for the first time since Week 5! It was fantastic. I still had to take my Zofran, but I wasn't even queasy after I had taken it. I am praying that this means their is a light at the end of the tunnel! So stinking excited!
@AprilFool: I'm definitely getting a wee small baby bump, too! It's about time to start posting the beginning of bumps!

@jaguar: I'm with you! I'm 10 weeks today and excited to be in double digits. Every week feels like a huge milestone..I just wish they would go a little faster! First u/s on the 24th!
@Mrs. Blue: My weekend was pretty good. Glad to hear yours was too
I felt great on Saturday! Then I was kind of exhausted again yesterday, which I imagine has to do with the fact that I went grocery shopping, made two lasagnas (one for us, one for friends whose baby just came a month early), baked a double batch of chocolate chip cookies and ran a bunch of errands with my mum...whew......tiring! My nausea was pretty much non-existent all weekend, but was back a little bit today. I'm okay with it, if only because it's midly reassuring.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Mmmm chocolate chip cookies! DH was just mentioning this morning that I should bake some.
I'm about 10.5 weeks right now and I'm also not feeling queasy anymore! For the first time in a long time, i had eggs and toast for breakfast. My books say it should be going away at this point.

morning sickness is def easing. I feel only feel sick when I am hungry but it seems like the exhaustion is here to stay!
@hergreeenapples I wish it would go a little faster too. It has dragged from 6 weeks. Only 2 weeks until we can tell everyone and I am sick of keeping this secret!
@mrs blue ok here you go.... my itty bitty bump hehe
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@AprilFool: You have a lovely bump.
I'm 8 weeks and just feel fat. (I was to begin with, but now even more so!)

Hey guys! I'm 10 weeks now and home from work because the morning sickness is kicking my butt. I had to tell my boss yesterday. He's really supportive so it worked out ok
