@Dandelion: oh no! I hope you can get seen soon lady! I ha spotting for the first time with the pregnancy and it freaked me out. I really didnt know anything about it and what is or isn't normal. Hoping docs can give you peace of mind
persimmon / 1472 posts
@Pink Champagne: Haha that's ingenious! I will have to do the same and I'm sure DH won't mind either lol
@dandelion: I hope they can get you in soon! I know spotting is normal for a few weeks and maybe the pains are your uterus expanding? *hug*

@Dandelion: oh no! I really hope that they can get you in soon. Fingers crossed super super tight that it is nothing. Hang in there, lady.
ETA: you know I've had it twice, but both times I freaked. Hoping they can get you in and give you some good news.

I talked to the nurse, and she said since it's only when I wipe, and I'm not cramping, it's probably just "normal" like my cervix or something. She told me to take it easy for a few days...pelvic rest and all that and keep an eye on it.
@LovelyPlum: Do you mind me asking what your spotting looked like? I'm having teeny tiny little clot like things, but still only when I wipe. Nurse just said to call if it gets worse.

@Dandelion: I hope they get you in and get it figured out. Fingers crossed that this is normal (and right now, it sounds like it).

@megz06: I hate normal, haha...I was really hoping to get through this pregnancy with no red alert situations!

Welcome to the new April mamas! Very exciting- and I can't believe we're getting to the end of that month. Time flies!
DH and I told our families and everyone was so happy! It's a huge relief. Both his parents and my dad had tears in their eyes and squeezed the stuffing out of me( not fun with sore boobies! Lol) now just looking forwards to Fridays appt. still having intermittent nausea, eating all the time, and cramping:( I can't wait for the cramping to be over with- it worries me.
@lovelyplum- how did your apt go??
eggplant / 11408 posts
Apologies, I'm about to get graphic...
@Dandelion: so my first scare a few weeks ago was tiny red spots, not very much, only when I wiped. The concern there was less about the bleeding and more that I was having a lot of cramping, too, and it was all to one side. This most recent one was a mix of brown and yellow CM, and it was the consistency of stringy snot. It was way more brown than just the normal yellow stuff that comes out bc of the Prometrium, and it was thicker, too, so I knew that it was actual blood as well. I've had consistent cramping for days, but I decided to call when they got really low in my pelvis on Saturday. That's when they upped the progesterone dosage.
With my two losses, it was different. With the first, I had some pink spotting the night before, went to bed, and woke up with a lot of dark red/black blood and clots when I wiped. It never slowed down, and actually I passed it all almost immediately. With the second, I spotted red for a few days, no clots, but what I would anticipate on maybe the lightest day of AF. It was there when I wiped, but didn't go on a pantyliner until three days later, at which point I already had an appointment to go in. The flow got progressively worse with that one over the course of an evening and overnight while we waited for bloodwork, but by the middle of the next afternoon, I was passing a lot of dark red clots, and we knew it was over. With both losses, I had bad back cramps before the bleeding started and that cramping feeling like the worst day of AF was right around the corner.
I hope that was more helpful than alarming!

@Dandelion: also, even if at first they said it was normal, if you're uncomfortable, I wouldn't hesitate calling and saying you would like to be seen. But maybe I'm pushy like that...
watermelon / 14206 posts
@LovelyPlum: My Dh will get pushy and take me to ER or something if it gets worrisome...he's the one who's good about that stuff
eggplant / 11408 posts
@Dandelion: good. I have a bad feeling that I'm "that lady" in my office...oh well.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@LovelyPlum: It's been on and off since Sunday, and only when I wipe...not not every time I wipe. I only got alarmed today when my pelvis started hurting, but I still have issues with sitting after pushing out S, so I'm hoping it has more to do with her than this pregnany, lol.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@Dandelion: I hope so!
@MrsSpadusa: it went really well, thanks! I think I gave a full update on the appointments thread.

How is everyone feeling today?
I'm having some cramps, but I'm pretty sure that's from my u/s. Rough night last night...I was so tired and sick, but I could not get comfy enough to sleep. Mercifully, feeling a bit more human today!
coffee bean / 37 posts
Has anyone else had crazy dreams yet? I had several last night, the worst of which was right before I broke up and was about me having a MC. Mean brain! I, of course, got up and POAS again just to be sure it wasn't real and can report that the Wondfos DO get darker. I'm 20DPO today and the test line was finally almost as dark as the control!
How is everyone else feeling today? I'm super tired, but I know that will just be the norm for awhile, despite getting almost 9 hours of sleep last night.
apricot / 335 posts
@babybeemcd: I slept long and hard too and yet I am tired. I am also not hungry. 3 hours after when I should eat it when I get hungry.
And I was having pregnancy dreams, weird ones, but those have since went away. I did dream my doctor told me I was having a girl, so we will see about that one

@babybeemcd i also had a MC dream last night & echo what you said. mean brain!!
@lovelyplum glad you are feeling better today. i'm also feeling a little better today than yesterday.
@dandelion hope everything is ok. thinking of you!

I guess it's a good sign that I still feel like I'm about to throw up, lol

@Dandelion: That is a good sign! Hope it all calms down. Is your DS back in school now so you can get some rest?
I'm doing good today, hungry, tired and have heartburn!

@T.H.O.U.: He goes back to school tomorrow...but, so do I...I'm taking a few classes this semester.

Wow, I don't check this for two days and there are three more pages!!
Welcome to the New April Mamas! @PEAPIE: I am in AZ too!
@Dandelion: I hope everything turns out okay!
@babybeemcd: Crazy dreams were one of things that first gave me an idea that I was pregnant! Almost every night I have some crazy dream!
@LovelyPlum: So far, so good today... just underlying nausea as usual... I really wish food didn't sound so awful... Im hungry!
apricot / 344 posts
Gosh, I'm scared to hear about all the spotting and the cramping, ladies! I hope it's nothing! Thinking of y'all and hoping those babies get REAL comfy in there.
I feel guilty, but I'm feeling fine. My boobs are a little sore and my mind is a little foggy, but other than that... nothing notable. But I have a feeling it's-a-comin' so I'm being thankful NOW.
@jill_a55: Yay! We can commiserate being hugely pregnant next April when the temp starts hitting the triple digits! I'm praying for an unseasonably cool spring.
apricot / 335 posts
@PEAPIE: You need to live in North Dakota with me. I unbelievably happy that I am going to be pregnant all winter because winter here starts in October and doesn't end until May. BOOM! (watch, this will be the one year I am screwed out of a cold winter)
apricot / 448 posts
@PEAPIE: I can't tell you how excited I was (after the initial OMG I'm pregnant excitement) when I figured out I was due in April, and not any later. I'll be praying right along with you for that!! If I was hugely pregnant right now I would never leave my house... or a pool maybe, if it was shaded. lol
persimmon / 1141 posts
@Dandelion: FX that all the cramping, spotting, soreness is "normal" - I know, normal can be so alarming!
@babybeemcd: I've actually had a couple of m/c dreams too. They're the worst - definitely my own subconscious fears manifesting. I haven't had them recently though.
Today I'm feeling tired as usual, and nothing sounds appetizing. Yesterday I craved Japanese curry and quickly made it. By the time it was ready, I didn't want to eat it anymore. Today, I have zero appetite. Everything seems a little gross, but I'm forcing myself to eat. If I go too long without food, I start to feel sick. Luckily, I don't have full blown MS / nausea, but I feel like it's getting progressively worse...
I am so grateful to be on this thread, talking about symptoms, purely being pregnant - it's such a miracle. But man, I feel sooo drained and out of it all the time, like there's this huge fog around me and it's so hard to focus at work. There's also an underlying feeling of queasiness all throughout the day. It's a little draining!
coffee bean / 37 posts
@SupernovaJ: Ugh! I need a lunch do-over. I decided to have a salad with cucumbers, chicken, cranberries, nuts and balsamic. I supplemented with a piece of cheese...
It sat dressed too long on my desk as I got distracted by my boss and I couldn't stomach much from the soggy mess. Then, the cheese was warm and made me gag... I'm still hungry but don't feel like eating anything now. DANGIT.

I haven't had any more spotting today, so I'm hoping I can just move on from this worry!
coconut / 8079 posts
@dandelion glad to hear the spotting has stopped. hope it stays away so you don't have to deal with all that worry!
kiwi / 630 posts
@Dandelion: just started catching up on the last day or so...so glad your spotting went away! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way
eggplant / 11408 posts
@babybeemcd: that is the worst. So sad.
@SupernovaJ: I agree...I'm so thankful to be pregnant, and I don't like complaining...this stuff is just really hard! Last night, I had the worst time trying to find something to eat. All I could come up with was pineapple and a bagel. I wanted to lay down, because I was so sick, but then I was starving, so it kept me up. I've actually been able to eat a bit today, which is great, but now I am not feeling so hot again. I think I found something appetizing for dinner (the insides of stuffed peppers-rice and meat and tomato sauce, if you're interested), but DH is making it while I'm at work, because I could NOT deal with actually cooking it. It would make me too sick to eat! I can't find much to ease my nausea...even Zofran doesn't really work all the time. I do like sour things, though, and fruit! Otherwise, food and I aren't really friends. I just broke up with chocolate chip cookies, which may be the most depressing thing that's happened to date.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@megz06: we're in cold weather-ville up here too (upstate NY!) Everyone's thinking we're going to have a doozy of a snow year. What I think that really means is that I need to start looking for deals on a maternity winter coat!
eggplant / 11408 posts
@Dandelion: that's awesome that you're taking classes! Can I ask what they are?
watermelon / 14206 posts
@LovelyPlum: Just some classes towards the 2 year degree I've been working on for over 4 years, lol. I'm working on an associates in business for administrative office technology, so this semester I'm taking business 101, internet (coding and stuff), document formatting (so blah...I've been avoiding this one cause I know it...but I still need the credit) and a part 2 of a microsoft word class. mostly easy stuff, but the internet 101 sounds really tedious and pretty boring, but I'll get through it.
It's mostly to keep myself busy during the day. Last year was DS's first year of all day school, and I was sooo bored! I figured I'd wait it out until March came along, so that S would give me something to "do" during the day. We all know how that went. So, this year I'm not gonna sit around and wait, lol. Plus, this will help me be more focused on eating well.

@Dandelion: Glad you spotting stopped. I'm sure everything is fine.
@LovelyPlum: Oh no not chocolate chip cookies! Those are one of my big weaknesses. I'm glad you at least found something to eat.
I'm feeling fortunate that I'm feeling pretty good. Ive had sore boobs and mild cramping since about a week after i ovulated. No nausea yet, but I'm not quite far enough along for it either. Maybe I should stockpile some meals in the freezer?
watermelon / 14206 posts
@LovelyPlum: For your recent spotting, did they figure out what it could be from? I guess I'm experiencing what you described in the first paragraph, with the CM and all. It's on and off. Tonight I've only seen it once, and it was really light...an orangish color.
