@megz06: cute pictures!! I can't wait to be out of the first tri and start taking allergy meds again. I think my headaches are due to sinuses.

@T.H.O.U.: that's awesome about the clothes. It's like Christmas opening them up! And I'm sorry about the allergies. My doctor didn't say anything about it, so I've been taking mine. Hoping you get some relief soon!
@megz06: love the pictures! Are you going to tell people after Friday?

@T.H.O.U.: @jhd: @Dandelion: Thanks ladies!!
@LovelyPlum: Thanks! Yes, we are going to tell people Friday. The plan is I tell my BFF tonight because I don't see her often. Friday after our appointment, my DH, since he has the day off, gets to do lots of calling since he is the only one of us with grandparents still alive (two sets of grandparents and a single grandmother). After that, my mom can go nuts with calling, and at 5, when we go out to have a celebratory meal with my parents, I'll tell my aunt, who is like a second mom to me. Then later on Friday evening we'll be posting that pic on FB. So much excitement, lol.

@LovelyPlum: It was really nice going through them all but I still felt like I didn't have anything to wear today! Mostly because I am just not large enough for most of them.
My OB said that you can take the allergy meds but if I could avoid it during the first trimester I should. So I'm trying my best to make it a few more weeks before starting up a daily dose again. If I stay indoors its not bad but I love being outside in the fall weather!

I've told a few people, now. Nothing official on facebook or anything, but I told my mom she can tell her siblings (she's one of 6, so it's a big family), but they're still keeping it off FB. I've told a few close friends also.

@Dandelion: how many weeks are you? I feel like we need a weekly check in!
watermelon / 14206 posts
@T.H.O.U.: 13 weeks. Nothing eventful pregnancy related going on, except for the little bit of movement I've mentioned. I'm thankful to be going to another prenatal a week from Friday. Seems like time is flying by a little faster this pregnancy...which is good!
apricot / 335 posts
@Dandelion: You've been having movement this early? So, perhaps, I am not going crazy???

I'm officially out. Having a d&c tomorrow. I know this was just not meant to be this time and hopefully things will work out better next time. Best of luck to all of you ladies!!!

@megz06: It's like flips or swirls...no kicks or anything...just feels like a fish swimming around, lol

@Kate6214: I'm so sorry
Sending you strength and prayers for healing.

@Kate6214: good luck with the procedure. Mine was really easy and recovery wasn't bad. My cycle was a bit crazy afterwards.
@megz06: I agree. No kicks or anything but just a little swoosh or flip. I actually feel it against my other organs not really against skin. I could totally be making it up though!!

@T.H.O.U.: I think I maaaay be feeling something. There have been a few times where I've felt something, but I don't know what it is. I've also been getting some cramps again, so it's hard to tell what is going on down there!
apricot / 335 posts
@Dandelion: @T.H.O.U.: To me, it feels like bubbles. I know it isn't gas becuase it felt way different...kind of like a swirl of bubbles. It's hard to describe. I've only felt it twice.
@LovelyPlum: I've been crampy again as well since last week. Nothing "exciting" to report along with it, thank goodness, but the cramping is still worrying me slightly. Can't wait for my appt on Friday to make sure my little putz is doing ok,.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@megz06: I agree! I know I shouldn't be worried, but I can't help myself. I am really excited to see baby Plum again!

@Kate6214: i am so sorry - I had a D&C a couple weeks back at approximately 8 weeks, if you have any questions etc. or just want to talk I'm here!

I'm not normally a Facebook person, but I have to put this out there:
I've seen at least 5 pregnancy announcements in the last week, and it makes me realllly want to scream- "me too! me too!!" It's not usually a big deal to me to post things, but it's HARD not telling people yet. I think we'll do it this weekend, after my NT scan. Seriously, though, what has gotten into me??
apricot / 335 posts
@LovelyPlum: Lol 5?? That is crazy!! I go through these spurts too. I just don't want to announce it, and then I am like, "Wait, I want to share my news too!" I blame it on the hormones. My mom is like, "I can't wait to share the news. You have no idea what it is like talking to all these women who are gushing about their grandbabies, and I just have to nod and say for cute when what I REALLY want to say is I'm going to be a grandma too!!" Silly mom.

I went to a child care fair at my university yesterday to learn about some of the options nearby, and OMG overwhelming! I feel like it's SO early to be even thinking about it, but a lot of the places near me have applications due this winter for September admissions. Crazy!!
Also, I had a really weird symptom last night: at like 4am, I woke up with a dull pain under my left rib. So weird! I couldn't fall back asleep for like an hour
@LovelyPlum: wow 5!! not many of our close friends are having kids yet, but we were at a small party last weekend with 5 different couples (friends of dh's from college, not people I know well), and of them, one is having a baby in Dec, one in Oct, one had a baby last April (and he was the sweetest, calmest baby ever! I want ours to be like him, haha!), plus me. We didn't know all the people so we didn't want to announce (although we told the few people we did know well right before we left), but it was SO hard to sit and listen to all the pregnancy/baby convos without fully chiming in! I had to keep all my questions and comments so vague and hypothetical, haha

Speaking of announcements, Young House Love just announced that Sherry is also due in April. It will be fun to follow along with them!
@LovelyPlum: I have seen several FB posts too, even bump pictures, and I can't wait to join some friends! There are actually five other August '11 moms that are also due in April and we have a facebook group that is fun to chat on!
watermelon / 14206 posts
@LovelyPlum: Last year, I swear about 10 other women on my facebook were due the same time around me.
So far, no one has said anything about being due near me, yet. Just one girl is about 10 weeks ahead of me. I'm interested to see if anyone comes out of the woodworks when I finally say something.

@nana87: Yes, we have several friends in person that have announced February and March pregnancies and its been hard to join in the conversations vaugely.

Just made a big first purchase! We got the second seat to make our B-Ready a double!

@T.H.O.U.: exciting !! I'm going to buy buy baby to test drive some double stroller options
@LovelyPlum: 5 is a lot!! I've seen one march announcement but none for April yet. Still don't know how I want to announce it yet. Now that I'm showing a bit, maybe just a plain family photo will do.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@megz06: lol on your mom! I can't wait to join in, but then I panic and think, "wait, no one can know yet!" Silly pregnancy hormones.
@nana87: we are doing this in a few weeks! Super, crazy overwhelming. But like you, our university daycare has quite a waiting list. We need it for August, and I'm not sure we'll get in...or whether it's priced out of our reach...we'll see in a few weeks. Super vague convo is really hard!
@T.H.O.U.: that does sound fun! And I saw about YHL...that is super exciting. Yay for the Britax seat! Is it feeling more real??
@Dandelion: a bunch of people didn't announce until 20 weeks. So, I'm pretty excited to see who come out of the woodwork soon. I haven't had many friends with babies recently, and all of these aren't close friends. It's just funny how, even among acquaintances, there seems to be baby booms!
@luckypenny: only one April-a few February and March, though!
Big day today: I'm 13 weeks!! I think it will feel more real, and I'll be more comfortable telling people after our NT scan tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, but excited!
ETA: I just got my first "are you sure it's not twins?" comment from someone at work. Really? I'm sure.

@LovelyPlum: Just saw another facebook announcement. This one another April mom with a daughter just younger then mine. Not only did she announce but it announced they are having a BOY!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@LovelyPlum: Yea for your NT scan tomorrow. I agree we are going to be comfortable telling people after ours October 11.

@T.H.O.U.: I saw YHL's announcement this morning too! Seems like all of my favorite bloggers are pregnant! ( I follow little baby garvin too, one of my favorites!)
@LovelyPlum: My facebook is going crazy with announcements, my DH's cousin announced like 2 weeks ago and they are due after us. He keeps doubting my "let's wait a bit to announce" idea and wants to do it NOW! lol
apricot / 335 posts
I think most of my FB friends are done for now, lol. 3 just had babies a few months ago (so my FB was full of babies-and still is really), and I only have a few that could be on the maybe list for getting pregnant, but they all have at least two kids now.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@jill_a55: I can't decide what I want to do! I keep thinking, we'll do it Friday, but then I get nervous! What a weirdo I am.
@T.H.O.U.: I'm excited to see the little one! Crazy that it's tomorrow already! And yours is so soon!
So I'm super crampy all of the sudden. Not freaking out, but it is uncomfortable. I called the nurse, and she thought it sounded like it might be from lack of fluids, or maybe a UTI. So, I just refilled my bottle, and am about to go grab some lunch. But I'm excited-I didn't freak! It's the little things
apricot / 335 posts
@LovelyPlum: Hmm...I wonder what exactly it is. I was really crampy all last week. This is the first day I haven't been crampy. I am going to ask Friday because I know first tri is ok to cramp, but it just seemed weird that I wasn't for so long and then it suddenly came back. I drink 8 glasses of water a day (actually more), but perhaps I need to up it even more maybe?
clementine / 854 posts
@LovelyPlum: at my dr appt yesterday, she said that pulling and cramping we're normal in 2nd tri too from all of the stretching. I haven't had much cramping (other than gas) but the round ligament pain is in full effect. I now understand why pregnant women move so slowly. Any swift movement feels awful!

We were with DH's family last week and his cousin announced they are due in Feb. DH's Dad starts going on and on about how he's ready for grandkids. I really wanted to tell him just to make him stop. DH will prob be ready to tell after the NT scan next week.
I'm sure I won't have many FB friends announcing pregnancy (although I just saw one and she's my age) b/c most of my friends are 35+ (I'm 39) and announcing grandkids.
I started cramping again this week. Trying not to freak out.
