@jhd: I hope those pesky kids don't run you too ragged today. When's your last day? I'm hanging in-I slept a lot, and contractions are pretty much gone today. I'm at home writing today until class tonight, so at least I'm off my feet.
@nana87: I hope that you got some good sleep

@nana87: i hope you got some good rest. thinking of you!
@LovelyPlum: i'm impressed that you can think for paper writing at this point. i'm glad contractions are stopped (we only want them if they're going to lead to baby! ) and you get some time off your feet today. be careful going out to class. stay away from that ice!!! today has been ok once i got to work and got going. i was so sleepy this am. right now my last day is scheduled for 4/17. due date is not until 4/21 but baby boy has been measuring 5 days ahead consistently this whole pregnancy. i'm hoping he comes before Easter. that's not too much to ask, right? my sub is actually going to be starting this monday so we can have some transition time together. at least if he comes early she will already be here.

@jhd: haha, well my brain isn't actually all that functional, so my papers make less sense than they used to. But I did get it written, and I got through class tonight, AND I went grocery shopping afterwards. So, I thin I win
@nana87: I've been thinking about you all day. I hope that you're holding sweet baby R right about now!
In other news, none of my shoes fit, and there's apparently and Epsom salt shortage at my grocery store (?!). So tomorrow's project is to try to find somewhere that carries it!

@LovelyPlum: ugh. Related to your swelling, I had to sell all of my shoes after DD. They grew like half a size or got wider or something. None fit that's why I haven't bought any new shoes because who knows what will happen this time.

@luckypenny: dang it, that's obnoxious. The only good thing to come out of that is that all but 2 of my pairs of shoes that I currently own are from cheapo places like Target or Payless, and most need to be replaced yearly. But it is good to know not to buy any until baby comes!

Rosalie was born today, April 2 at 2:20 am! Tiny little darling: 5lbs 13 oz! I'll write more later, after. A 36 hour induction I'm exhausted and have a fever so I'm zonked! But so so happy she's here, and despite the length and some really hard parts I am absolutely thrilled with how everything went, and with my new little love!

So I had an unexpected trip back to the doctor's today-I started swelling last night, and now my feet are HUGE, despite having them elevated, soaking them, etc. They wanted me to come in so that they could check my blood pressure and make sure that I didn't have any signs of pre-e. The good news is that there's no pre-e in sight. The BETTER news is that in two days I went from 2 cm and 80% effaced (which is essentially what I was last week) to 3 cm and 90% effaced! I saw another doctor in the practice, whom I love, and she said that my cervix was soft and ripe and ready to have this baby! After all of the crap that I went through on Monday, it was really nice to get some good news that my body is doing what it is supposed to be doing. I might even be looking forward to this birth (crazy talk, I know!)
So now, we wait!

Sooooo....a bunch of brown mucus when I wiped just now (lovely visual, sorry). I realize it could be from the exam today-any chance it could be bloody show??

We're home and in the fox hole of newborn war lol. M is really a good baby but recovering from the c section while giving in to his every order is definitely exhausting. I'm so thankful for DH and DS and all our family. They've all been really helpful.

@Dandelion: hooray for getting home! I'm glad everyone is there to help you

Just wanted to update. My water broke on Saturday 3/29 and went to hospital and got put on pitocin. Baby heart rate dropped so much with each contraction they became worries that cord was wrapped around neck so I had an emergency c section. However baby was completely fine. Got home from hospital yesterday and trying to recover and find a routine. It's exhausting.
Baby boy Campbell born 3/30 at 4:33am weighing 6lb15oz and 20 inches long. He is perfect in every way.

So, a couple months ago my mom asked me if there was anything I REALLY wanted for M. I told her I wanted some a&a blankets. She said, "sure, I'll get those! But, then she turned up with the a&a easy swaddles. I said thanks, but I was rolling my eyes and figured they'd be useless. I later found some a&a blankets on my own.
WELL. Mr. M loves to be swaddled. I was struggling with the muslin wraps, so guess what I broke out? I'm loving the easy swaddles now, lol. So much that I just ordered 2 more. So grateful for them now, and I really thought I wouldn't care for them, haha.
