how was everyone's weekend? how is everyone feeling today?
we had a super busy weekend with a girls/boys night on friday and a daytime wedding followed by an engagement party on saturday. my husband told his best friend about the babe and he was soooo cute about it... it made me excited for a couple more weeks when we can tell everyone! last night i took my pill way too late and threw up eeeeeeeeverything. i forgot to take another pill after so i am feeling horrible today
i still have this persistent cough and it triggers my gag reflex so it's a brutal combination and i'm just miserable. as per usual haha.

I disappeared again last week, I was away on vacation and didn't have very much internet available. But I am back and my vacations are officially over so I am hoping I can keep up now!
@loki: Sorry you aren't feeling well today! I'm excited to tell everyone too! Just counting down the days! We've told our parents but no one else yet! It's getting harder to keep the secret though!

@loki: Weekend was good! Felt pretty gross, but managed to get a lot accomplished in terms of cooking, cleaning and even some fun with LO at the apple orchard.
Last night I mysteriously felt good in the evening after feeling like crap consistently for about 4 weeks. This morning I feel a lot less gross. I wonder if I've turned a corner, sickness-wise? I feel like it's way too early but I'm hopeful. Of course, I also worry that it means something is wrong with the baby.

@HappyBluebird: oooh go anywhere fun on vacation? we have told our parents too. and most of my best girl friends... two of them had babies last week and one is due 5 weeks before me so it was impossible to keep it from them! going public will make everything easier though. so exciting.
@meredithNYC: oooo hopefully you're over the hump! that would be amazing. i keep trying to avoid taking my pills to see if i have rounded a corner but no such luck yet.

@meredithNYC: I started feeling better a couple of days ago and had the same inkling of worry. But I wasn't sick at all last pregnancy so I know it doesn't mean much.
@loki: We had my son's first birthday party this weekend. It was a lot of work but turned out amazing. I also told a few more friends about the babies. I don't really follow the 12 week rule. I read an article last week that celebrates telling early because you're celebrating that life as long as it lasts vs maybe not telling and never getting to celebrate it. I kind of like thinking about it like that but I certainly understand why others don't want to.

@marionberry: aw so fun! ya i love that idea and kinda feel the same way. i've told a lot of people that i know i would tell if i had a loss. with certain people, i feel protective of the info and don't want to share... but with my close friends, i told them instantly.
i'm wondering if any second time moms would wanna share their first LOs names (or even pics!)? I'm so curious! if not, i totally understand. i just want to get to know everyone! haha.

@loki: sure to the name & pics! LO (her name is Jessie) had her first birthday party this weekend (she turned one on Friday) & I felt great until last night & am feel super gaggy today. My first appointment is tomorrow, yay!!! I hope you feel better soon!

@meredithNYC: I started feeling a break in nausea last week for a few days - and overall it's a bit better, though I still have pockets of feeling yucky. I don't think it's anything to worry about, and from what I've read, it is possible that around week 10 or so, to start seeing a relief in some symptoms.
@marionberry: also love the idea of telling early, to celebrate life. We also have been looking at it that the more people we tell early, the more prayers we have!
@Mrs. Sunshine: what beautiful pictures! thanks for sharing - she is so precious! and that beach looks wonderful!
@loki: weekend was great! DH took me to see Garth Brooks Friday night and it was amazing! We were bums on Saturday - lots of naps, cleaning and relaxing - it was wonderful! I teach Sunday school at church, so did that yesterday and it was so great to see the little kiddies!
I'm EXHAUSTED today. I thought my nausea was getting better, but felt so awful last night, I literally called my mom to complain. She suggested something bland, like mashed potatoes which totally helped. I am still having awful night sweats (anyone else?) and wake up drenched and freezing - not fun - and not making for a good night's sleep. I so wished I could've stayed home and in bed today!! But again - happy to feel crummy if it means baby is doing well! Tomorrow is 11 weeks - so happy about that!

@SunshineMcC: thank you! The beach was nice but for future reference I wouldn't recommend taking your 11 month old on a 12 hour car trip to the beach & have them end up hating sand lol we won't be going back for awhile lol
I get night sweats too. But I'm freezing when I lay down. I never know how to dress for bed these days....I hope you get the rest you need tonight! -
@SunshineMcC: omggg i'm dying to see Garth Brooks, i hate how the tour is so secretive because i would love to know if he's coming to Canada!!! i signed up for the emails and keep checking the website so hopefully i won't miss my chance. even if he comes to a US city that's close by, i'm willing to drive. that musta been an unreal show!
i go to bed FREEZING and wake up sweating... i just generally have terrible sleeps and this cold/cough is not helping. i've been sleeping in the guest bedroom for over a week

@meredithNYC: oh my goodness, i'm in love! she is precious and i adore her hair! i'm blond and my husband is half japanese and i am secretly (not so secretly) praying our little one is a blondie, though it's unlikely. i'll love it either way but something about little blond babies just slays me! i always just imagined myself with blond kids because EVERYONE in my family is blond.

@loki: anything is possible! I expect Gwen's hair will darken within a few years as both my husband and I had blond hair as babies/toddlers, but are darker haired now. But I am loving it while it lasts.

I forgot to take diclegis Saturday night before bed and really paid for it yesterday. I was sick all day! Better today, though. Tomorrow is another ultrasound and I'm super nervous after getting the bad news at our ultrasound last Thursday. I have weekly ultrasounds until I graduate from the RE to the OB. I'm so nervous!!
Love seeing all the cute LO's! Here is my son Jay who will be two in just under two weeks!

@loki: Ha, you're not a creeper at all - I agree in terms of hopefully how well we'll all know one another by April. A couple of my girlfriends were bees on the original weddingbee site and they actually had trips and meet-ups from time to time where they would meet in person - how fun is that?!

Oh my, I'm loving the pics of everyone's little ones! So cute!
I'm kind of looking forward to telling my inlaws so that I can ask them to send me pictures of DH when he was a baby! I want a glimpse of what our little one might look like!
I have my first appointment with the high risk OB tomorrow and I am already nervous! The last appointment I had was 5 weeks ago, before they transferred me to the high risk clinic, so I am so desperate to know that everything is ok in there...
