    @delight: Yay!

My little one had a growth spurt in a week and now measures a few day early. Still a strong heartbeat and waved hi to us (we took brother to the appointment).

@delight: we'll know for sure tomorrow but I'm fairly certain that I'll be joining you at the end of the month. If I remember right you got your BFP the day after I got mine! So glad all is well!

SUCH cute baby photos! Thanks for sharing them, everyone. Ovia told me this morning that the nausea should go away after this week! Now that is exciting news. I haven't thrown up in a few days but I definitely had to fight it pretty hard this morning and yesterday morning. It was a triumph of will.

@MeredithNYC @SunshineMCC: It seems like I've made a turn too, but for the worse. Since Thursday, I've actually been feeling kinda crappy, gagging more (so many times today!), and a sort of all-day nauseous feeling for the last two days. The good thing is that I'm now over my cold. But seriously, today was awful. First day back to work in three weeks, and everyone had really gross smelling food that they just had to heat up minutes before i was planning to heat up my chicken pot pie. Thankfully, no one was there at the time to hear the gagging noises I was making!!!

@Lulu22: Good luck with your OB appointment tomorrow. I'm sure it will help to set your mind at ease. Do you mind me asking why your doc switched you over to the high-risk OB?

@Astro Bee: I have a heart condition (which I was born with) and a pacemaker. I have always been fine and perfectly healthy but I guess there are concerns when you are pregnant because your heart has to work so much harder pumping all the extra blood around. I'm not sure exactly what it will mean for my pregnancy/labor/delivery but I am guessing lots of extra EKG's and extra monitoring by my OB and cardiologist.

@Astro Bee: Ick. The all-day nausea blows. Mine is just starting to come on. I've only gagged a few times, but it sucks feeling hung over All day long. I know I don't have it as bad as some of the ladies here though! Glad your cold is gone, I think I'm finally at the tail end of mine.

@PawPrints: yeah for not throwing up! Maybe the sickness will be behind you soon!

@Mrs. Sunshine: it'll be nice to have a friend at the end of the month! I just think it's so great we are having spring babies. What an awesome time of year!

@brownie: sounds like an awesome appointment!

@Astro Bee: oh my God, smells are the worst! My first pregnancy I was living in the city still, and I remember walking past people on a crowded sidewalk and being able to SMELL THEIR BREATH. And feeling like barfing because of it. It's like there was no escape!

  11. Astro Bee

    pear / 1503 posts

@Lulu22: I am glad that you will be getting extra medical attention with your heart condition. Being pregnant is so tiring normally, and that's without any extra strain. So much better for you and baby to get extra monitoring. I know it would put my mind at ease! Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.

@Delight: Yes! That is exactly what it feels like, a hangover! The unsettled stomach, the warm forehead, the shaky feeling. Ugh, I hope this doesn't continue too long. Maybe it would have been better if I'd thrown up, and gotten it behind me, instead of just gagging half the day!

  12. Astro Bee

    pear / 1503 posts

@MeredithNYC: I normally have a really sensitive sense of smell, and have gagged at gross smells before, especially gross city smells (I normally take the bus to work), but this is much worse. My husband told me that the other night when I was already asleep, or at least partially, he went to kiss me and I pulled away and mumbled something about bad breath. The thing is, he doesn't normally have bad breath, but he'd had steak for dinner and hasn't brushed his teeth yet. I felt sooo bad when he told me the next day!

@Astro Bee: I'm sorry you feel so badly lately! I would rather throw up and feel better than have all day nausea and gagging. Although I did throw up today and still had all day nausea. Gotta love hormones!

  14. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@Astro Bee: ha! Don't feel bad. If my husband has a couple of beers he smells so bad to me and I ask him to scoot further away (luckily we have a king size bed) from me. Rude, but so necessary!

Hi! Due April 8th here. Just want to say a quick hello!!!

    hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts

@Astro Bee: I totally agree to the wishing you could just throw up already. That's how I felt my entire first tri last time & so far this time too. I never actually threw up until my 2nd & 3rd trimesters & seriously felt fantastic the rest of the day if I had been feeling bad before puking. It's so hard not to gag when I have to clean LO up after her meals....yuck!!

Going on two nights in a row of mashed potatoes for dinner! I thought my nausea had gone away, but it's just migrated to evening nausea. Lots of fun!

@anonysquire: congrats and welcome! This is an amazing group of ladies! Glad you're here!

@Astro Bee: @meredithNYC: smells are awful! I just told DH how bad the garbage smells, besides the fact it's behind closed doors!

@anonysquire: hi, welcome! is this your second?

I think the worst thing about morning sickness is that throwing up doesn't provide the sweet delicious relief that is does with any other type of stomach sickness!

  19. Mrs. Sunshine

    hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts

@SunshineMcC: mine is more in the evening too. I prefer that though because I only have to deal with it for about an hour & a half while LO is awake & then I can lay down or take a break if I need to.

  20. anonysquire

    cantaloupe / 6923 posts

@SunshineMcC: @Rockies11: thanks ladies!!! Yes this is my second. My 1st baby is 6 months old.

Is anyone else here a second timer and absolutely DYING of morning sickness? It's 100000 times worse this time around and I'm pretty certain it's another girl.

@anonysquire: the duchess and I are in total sync - with Prince George and my first, we were both hospitalized on the same day, and PG was born on my LO's due date. With this pregnancy, I was one week into treatment, when it came out that she was pregnant and a week into treatment!

Thanks ladies for the comments about J. He definitely has a fabulous smile and a great laugh to go along with it.

@anonysquire: Welcome to April Mamas. Was lo #2 an accident? I'd be freaking out to have two that close, but then again I'm freaking out to be having 3 under 2.

@delight: @brownie: So happy to hear good news about your ultrasounds! I'm really hoping I will get one at my visit next week, especially due to the other losses.

AFM, smells haven't been so bad but I'm really gagging way more this pregnancy while brushing my teeth. One of these days I'm definitely going to lose my cookies.

  28. anonysquire

@marionberry: no lol. I've been trying since she was 6 weeks! I got prescribed clomid in july.

@anonysquire: yeah welcome to the group! Sorry you are feeling so crappy.
@marionberry: best wishes at your appointment next week!
@SunshineMcC: ick I have evening nausea too. Mine is worse when I first wake up, subsides a bit during the day and comes back for a visit at night.
@Mrs. Sunshine: oMG what about diaper changes?! I am having a tough time. I just want to yell to DH to come change her every time but I feel bad. She never seems to poop at daycare either, she just saves it for me.

    Frick it's 3am. I think I have insomnia!

@marionberry: the only way I can guarantee throwing up before I leave for work is by brushing my teeth! But I sound like a demon is exiting my body when I vomit so I'd rather throw up at home than have coworkers hear me lol.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and really ready for these hormones to level out already! I felt awful yesterday and woke up still feeling crappy. I'm hoping today is easier.

I told my team and principal that I'm pregnant and it went better than I hoped! I was nervous but everyone was very kind and congratulatory despite the fact that I'll be out during part of the end of the school year. It going to be hard going back for the last 2-3 weeks of school but I'll at least have the summer off with the baby!

@PawPrints: The Ovia app told me that too a day or two ago maybe and I was so excited! I've been feeling a little better each day, hoping it stays that way!

    @anonysquire: Welcome to our group!

  33. meredithNYC

@SunshineMcC: Yeah, I made DH take the trash out this morning because I was like, "I cannot go into the kitchen until it's gone."

@anonysquire: Congrats and welcome! I was wondering whether you might have an announcement soon

@Boopers: Seriously, I do not know how teachers handle pregnancy. I taught for a while in my 20's (pre-kids) and it is a tough job. Hats off to you for being such a trouper!

@Boopers: yay for being almost 12 weeks! That's got to feel amazing. Today is 11 for me!

@meredithNYC: ha! Yeah, last night DH moved the garbage out in the hall (we live in a condo) until we went to bed because I couldn't handle it!

The last couple of days I've been feeling really uncomfortable in my upper stomach/ribs area... The only thing I can relate it to in the past is gaining weight and starting to feel it, but I've only actually gained 2 pounds. Is this just stuff expanding inside and starting to move around to make room for baby? Any of you 2nd time moms have any insight?

  36. Rockies11

    persimmon / 1363 posts

I emptied out our whole fridge and freezer, save a few select items such as green apples and lemonade, and bleached it all out, while dry heaving ever 10 seconds, because I couldn't live with the fact that there was old food in there. uggh. And my workplace has a food court in the building. I have to psyche myself up for like 5 minutes every day in order to leave my car and walk through it.

@delight: yes, diapers are so bad & we cloth diaper so I have to encounter it a little more than I would with a disposable. It sucks.

My appointment is in an hour!!

We've talked a lot about how we are feeling physically but is anyone else's hormones making them extra crazy? It took all I had last night not to beat DH over the head with the broom....lol

Hey everyone I have been MIA as this pregnancy started to kick my butt. I have never been so exhausted in my life! I feel like I have turned a corner in the past day or so and am finally able to keep my eyes open

It's nice to see this group continuing to grow and I hope everyone is doing well!

@Mrs. Sunshine: I hear you! DH & I always joke "yell" at each other when it's time for bed - if I'm in there first, I'll yell down the hall, "where are you? get in here!". And last night he yelled back, something like, "you're not the boss of my body! I'll be in soon!" and I got SO angry at him - and was like, "don't you dare talk to me like that!" We later laughed about it, but in the moment I was so upset!
