@SunshineMcC: I love all the map stuff!! We have two big vintage school maps one of north america and one of africa. The NA one is in our living room and i'm thinking of putting the africa one in then nursery. I have started a mood board but need to do some tweaking as we've changed our minds a bit on a few things.

@Banana330: @SunshineMcC: Also loving the maps. I definitely want a big world map, or maybe a globe, in our little girl's room. I remember as a kid I had a US map and a world map and I would spend tons of time looking at them, fascinated.

So I made our gender reveal scratch cards on the weekend. We've got friends and family overseas de we're mailing them in a sealed envelope to open on Skype with us. For local family we're going to give them one on Christmas day and friends we're going to share with them as we see them cause it's just to hard to add another party to the calendar.
I'm so excited to start sharing the news!

@loki: For boy it says "sorry try again" for girl it says "Yes! It's a girl!"
To make the scratch off, I used strips of packing tape as the base, then you mix about 50/50 acrylic paint and dish soap, it takes lots of coats but it works! I put the packing tape on parchment paper to paint it then cut them and put them on the cards. I can't wait to start sharing them!

I had my anatomy scan this afternoon! Everything looked great with the baby, and they confirmed it is definitely a boy!
The tech thought that maybe I had a bipartita placenta (where the placenta is kind of in two parts) but then the dr took a look and said no, it's more of a U-shaped placenta. I'd never heard of this but they didn't seem to worried and said that even if the placenta is in two parts, it just means they have to be sure to get both parts out after birth...
Otherwise everything looked perfect and we even got to see/have printed a bunch of 4d images which I wasn't expecting!I'm off on vacation tomorrow so I might not be checking in very much over the next week. I hope everyone has a lovely thanksgiving!

Thanks for all the nursery feedback! It's been so fun to play on Pinterest for ideas. Now, just to put it all together! Busy week at work over here, so really glad today is Friday! DH & I are going to see Mockingjay this weekend and have a party on Sunday. Otherwise lots of rest. I made it to the gym for the first time in ages on Wednesday. I was exhausted but it felt good. I couldn't believe how long it took me to walk a mile, compared to pre-pregnancy! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

@SunshineMcC: we're so excited - I have a close in age sister so I am super thrilled! HG doesn't really go away in a lot of people the whole time, and it seems to be going the same way with me this time as it did the last - horrible terrible, then bad, then back to horrible terrible. I do have a new medical team this pregnancy that has been great, but I am still under my starting weight (and I am not a big person to start with) and really struggling with a heavy work load, a toddler, and a house move on a short timeline.

@Rockies11: You are a trooper! I'm sending you lots of strength and hugs! So glad to hear you're happy with your medical team - I'm sure that makes a big difference. When is the big move? I can't imagine that. DH & I have been talking about our moving out of our condo into a home, but had decided to put it on hold for a year or so, but this week someone expressed interest in our place, and even the thought of having to move really stressed me out. Hoping you can have some semblance of a relaxing weekend, and that you have people taking good care of you! XO

@meredithNYC: thanks! Yes I'm making it myself! I used to see more often but I'm sticking with a basic 5X5 rectangle pattern so it *should* be straight forward
@loki: I got it at a local store but there is an American site called fabric.com that has a lot of really nice and modern patterns... It just costs a fortune in shipping and duty to get it across the border. im not sure if the East coast has Joanne's fabrics, but all of theirs is online too so you could always browse before making a trip south.

Anyone having round ligament issues? My round ligament pain on my left side BURNS. We went on a field trip on Tuesday to the aquarium and by the end it hurt so badly I had a hard time walking. I've been noticing it so much more this week and try to take it easy when it flairs up, but it's hard when I'm on my feet all day.

@Boopers: No round ligament pain yet. but i'm getting really bad tail bone pain. It's sooo uncofortable!
Does anyone else not really have a bump yet? I know I shouldn't be worried, but i'm starting to wish for one. It's there a bit when i'm lying down, but walking around in normal clothes it's really not obvious at all. Wah! I just want a seat on the subway!

@Boopers: it's so so bad. So bad. Especially in my groin. I had it a lot with my first too...it does go away eventually but it sucks. I have to be careful about how I get up or pick LO up.
@Banana330: how far a long are you? With my first it wasn't obvious to others until nearly 30 weeks! I have a bump this time but it's still not big enough that a stranger would say anything to me & it's easy to hide (not that I'm trying) in many outfits

@Mrs. Sunshine: just over 19 weeks....I know i should be thankful. My DH wants to do bump pictures but I feel like they are terrible cause there's no bump and a feel fat instead of cute and pregnant!
