@Banana330: I've been walking around all week in maternity clothes thinking I look so obviously pregnant (almost 22 weeks with #2!) and people still aren't 100% sure. You will get the bump soon! But it's totally normal not to be super obvious until late 2nd, or even early 3rd trimester. I took the bump pics anyways last time, since I liked to see the progression, small as it might have been!

Not-so-fun milestone I hit last night: the crazies.
DH made a comment about how he's worried that I'd left food out at room-temp and was gonna heat it up and eat it anyway. I totally did the slow fade-to-cry thing that toddlers do and couldn't compose myself for five minutes. To my credit, it's been a busy and stressful week and I think I've done a pretty awesome job cooking dinners and lunches for the two of us, if I don't say so myself. But the five-minute tear-sesh was definitely unwarranted. Kudos to DH for being my rock and still treating me like a reasonable person.
Any other praises for DHs who are dealing with your symptoms/crazies like champs?

@NeekieRose: ya, hopefully one day! I think it's all the bump pictures that make wish I had one! I'm sure once it arrives I'll long for the days when I was bump free and more nimble!

@ineebee: I cried two nights ago because DH went to bed 30 minutes early. In my defense that puts him at going to bed at 730 instead of 8, both of which are way early but he gets up at 4, so i understand, I was just annoyed that I didn't really get time with him.

@ineebee: my form of crazy is being a beast to my husband. He might prefer sad to bitchy, lol!

@Banana330: I have the exact opposite problem -a giant bump! Having twins definitely has me much larger than last time.

@marionberry: we just had a baby shower for a woman at work having twins! She was measuring 40weeks (for a singleton) @31 weeks!

@ineebee: I am a maniac all of the sudden! I have had crazy hysterical crying every night for the past three nights and I am super crabby during the day. I am usually an even tempered person, so I especially hate feeling like this.

@Banana330: that's what I've heard! Im not looking forward to being that big.

Nothing too crazy here. I've had random emotional moments, but they are sporadic. I've always had weird dreams before getting pregnant, but I've had some really odd ones while pregnant. This morning I woke up thinking "wtf, did I really dream that?"

@ineebee: nothing too bad here, but this is the symptom I have been the most scared of! Every month I have one day of bad PMS where no one can do anything right and I have had to work so hard to control it... I was scared it was going to be nine months of this!

Baby girl is moving so much. I feeling lots on the outside. It's going to take a little bit to get used to this again!
hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts
@NeekieRose: I've noticed a lot more movement these past few days too! So far it seems like she sits pretty far back (LO 1 did too...) so I've only felt her once from the outside. Maybe your family can feel her on Thanksgiving! (Or not, I know not everybody is down with the belly rubbing lol)

@NeekieRose: I've started feeling movement from the outside too! It's so exciting!!

@Mrs. Sunshine: We are going to DH's family's for Thanksgiving, so probably not. Ha. If it was my family, maybe! DH has only felt this baby a couple times and he was out of town last night when she was going crazy. Don't you just love the movements!? I love knowing that there is really a baby hanging out in there.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@NeekieRose: @Boopers: @Mrs. Sunshine: That's so cool you guys can feel it already! I haven't even felt any movement yet, but i'm chalking it up to FTM and anterior placenta.
persimmon / 1386 posts
@Banana330: I didn't feel anything until about 22 weeks last time with an anterior placenta, so hopefully you will start to feel something soon! And the good thing about the anterior placenta, is that once you start feeling it on the inside, you should feel pretty soon on the outside (at least that is how it was for me and what makes sense to me...the baby is strong enough to be felt through the placenta, not much more to get to the outside!)

@Banana330: I have an anterior placenta too. I feel him lower and more to the sides of my uterus than I thought I would.

@Banana330: I'm with you! There have been only a couple occasions of definite repeated movements. I think I might have felt a kick in the outside but DH still hasn't.

@ineebee: @Rockies11: @Mrs. Sunshine: I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling out of whack! For the most part, been feeling great but had a busy Sunday with very little downtime (church, gym, football party, visit with another friend, made cookies, collapsed). I feel asleep at. 7pm, awake by 9pm and then wide awake most of the night. Gloomy snowy weather here and I've yet to feel baby move today so was really getting worried that something was wrong, even though I've only just started feeling him move regularly in the last week. DH & my mom both calmed me down a bit, but I'm whipping the Doppler out when I get home. I'm normally pretty "up" so when I feel sad or weepy it makes me feel so out of sorts. Thanks for listening!

@NeekieRose: that's awesome. Mine comes and goes but is still just on the inside. I can't wait until DH & I can feel him on the outside!

@Banana330: your scratch tickers are awesome. I love that you made the scratch part yourself!
@As Time Goes By: I love your woodland fabric. I am leaning towards a woodland theme myself. I'm not sure if it is gender neutral and we are still undecided about finding out gender..likely will stay team green.
@Banana330: I haven't really felt too much yet and I have an anterior placenta. I'm just 18 weeks though and last time I didn't feel anything until 20ish. I feel pressure though in certain areas and I think that's where baby is hiding.
As for me, just trying to get through the days waiting for my blood test results. I have another full ultrasound on Monday and meeting with genetic counsellor again who will hopefully have all my results. I will admit the first few days following my 1/17 for T18 results, I was a mess and cried almost all day long and didn't sleep at all. It has almost been two weeks now and I am feeling more positive. I hope I have a good update for you girls next week.
Happy Thanksgiving to you American girls. Our Canadian Thanksgiving seems like it was ages ago!

@delight: Monday will be here before you know it! I'll be anxiously awaiting news!

@NeekieRose: Baby A moves a lot more than Baby B but I can feel them both on the outside now. We had our AS today and both boys are very healthy. The scan itself was very uncomfortable for me though with the weight of two babies on my back. I started to get lightheaded and ended up doing most of my scan on my side.
@delight: thinking of you and your lo and praying for good news when you get your results back. I can only imagine how hard that has been and how poorly I would have handled it myself. Big hugs!

@SunshineMcC: I hope the Doppler helps/helped or that you've felt the baby move again!
Speaking of not being able to sleep, it is 2:30am and I am up making lists and trying to dump everything that could possibly be on my mind onto paper so I can go back to sleep. Of course now I'm getting hungry so I may munch on something before my next sleeping attempt! Can't wait for the holiday!
nectarine / 2317 posts
@delight: I'm 20 tomorrow so i'm hoping I'll start to feel something soon. FX for your results on monday!
@ineebee: Ugh I had a full week of that type of insomnia last week. It drove me nuts. The only good thing about it is eventually you get so tired out you just sleep through the night and it feels like heaven!
I found out this weekend that i know at least 5 other women due in 2015, so at least I'll have some friends on mat leave!

@loki: my appointment is next Monday
Thanks everyone for thinking of me.

@ineebee: yes, totally helped - very strong heartbeat and DH and I actually saw him move on the outside for the first time last night, so that was super exciting.
I totally had two sobfests at home last night -one b/c I was worrying about baby, then something else that just set me off that DH said. Oh my, lots of fun to deal with these emotions!

@Banana330: I have and anterior placenta and highly suspect I had one for my first baby. I felt movement the last time on thanksgiving and daddy felt it the same day. I have been feeling some movement this week but nothing consistent.
Weirdest thing is I think I have contractions at night. I wake up and can feel my uterus and it's tight.
pear / 1787 posts
@delight: oh man! you are doing so well to be so patient. i'll still be thinking of you alllll week then
i've been feeling odd little flutters here and there, mostly at night... i'm pretty sure it's the baby but whenever i put my hand there she stops. i desperately want my husband to feel it but no luck. i wasn't at work yesterday... i've just been feeling generally awful. really dizzy, nauseous, headache-y... having horrible sleeps and waking up DRENCHED in sweat. all around miserable... which makes me cry! haha. my poor husband.
hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts
@brownie: I've been getting contractions fairly regularly now. Mostly at night. I believe they are usually Braxton Hicks but twice last week they were about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of pain. I called the nurse line & they didn't seem worried but I'll definitely be mentioning it to my doctor later today just to make sure it's on record!
@loki: man, you're really having a tough time of it! I hope you get some relief soon!
grapefruit / 4110 posts
@Mrs. Sunshine: ok so it isn't abnormal. I don't have any pain just tightness. But I didn't have any pain with contractions until I was in transition with my son. So it's probably not a good indicator.

@anonysquire: cuuuute! is it baby P cuz you've picked his name? or is P your last name?
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@loki: Anderson is my husband's last name. We're deciding between 2 names that start with "P"... Who knowS when I will decide lol.
pear / 1787 posts
@anonysquire: oh gotcha! well at least you have an initial picked out you've got time to decide!!! can't wait to hear what you end up with!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@loki: both choices are unique and probably not anyone here's cup of tea So I will just announce after he's born! Do you have a name secured?
pear / 1787 posts
@anonysquire: that's why i'm excited to hear, i know your daughter has a unique name. i love hearing unique names!
we aren't 100% sure, we are struggling with agreeing. our top three are willa, rose & gemma... (mine in that order, my husband's in the opposite order). i would love to know her name now buuut it looks like we'll have to wait!
