Had our scan today. Add me to team
! We are a two boy family now!! Very excited although my mom was somewhat crestfallen. This is her fourth grandson and she was hoping for a girl.Overall scan was good. They did see calcium deposits in the heart which can be a soft maker for downs, but since I already had the genetic testing and it put me at a 1:10000 risk, she was not worried. They did offer me an amnio if we wanted to be certain, but we both passed since it is not worth the risk!
Now I am going to pick my son up from daycare and let him know the news! I can't wait to picture my boys growing up together!!

Our scan went well. Baby is measuring 21+ weeks at 14 oz. All measurements looked good. And we are team PINK. It's a girl!

35+ mamas- do you need to get another ultrasound at 32 weeks? After my appt yesterday they said I needed to come back at 32 weeks to make sure everything is on track. I did not have that with my first pregnancy. I am going to ask my doctor about it at my next general appt, but thought I would check here as well (and kind of want to verify it has nothing to do with the calcium deposits they saw).

@bloved: I could really just go on and on about the cute things my boys do together! My current 2 are 2.5 years apart and this baby boy will be exactly 2 years younger than my middle so I am hoping they will all grow up really close.
During my last pregnancy I was 35 and i didn't have an ultrasound at that time but I sure would have loved an extra glimpse at him!

@Canoli: @JennyLayneAZ: don't get me wrong, it's tempting to find out! I had a hard time narrowing down my hooded towels that can be used for either sex (and multiple children). I ended up picking 3 Sprouts' orange tiger, blue walrus, and purple hippo.

@bloved: I had one done around that time last time but that was due to GD. I think if I didn't have GD I would not have had another one after the 18 week one.

Anyone gone to the chiropractor during pregnancy? I started going last week and it has greatly improved my back pain!!! It's so much better but I am worried he's too manipulative with me which worries me. Anyone have any advice about it? Xoxo

Now that I have found out the gender I have fallen down the rabbit hole of looking for matching big brother/little brother shirts. Not really what I should be doing instead of lesson plans!!

@bloved: not 35, but I have a follow up u/s since they couldn't quite get all the pics at the anatomy scan. Also, with LO1, we did a u/s around 34 weeks for sizing. They gave me am an estimate weight at that time too. I am diabetic, so that is probably why we had the extra appt

I have my anatomy scan today.

Just finished anatomy scan. All looked perfect. He's measuring a week ahead which is consistent with measurement at NT scan. My guess is my dates are just off, I couldn't remember LMP and guessed at a date.

@BandDmommy: Yay for a good scan! My girl is measuring ahead too, but since they did a dating scan at 8 wks they're keeping my due date the same. The tech asked if big babies run in my family, and no, they do not. So we'll see what happens if she remains ahead later on!

@Cherrybee: Congrats on the baby girl!I had my fetal echo yesterday and the babies heart looks fine, no holes! He/ she was giving the doctors hell most of the time by moving around as they just got in the right spot to take measurements. My next growth US is the Tuesday before Christmas.
