@autumnleaves: Well..... after she was born, they brought me toast and tea. About two hours later, I came over really funny. I tested my blood sugar and it was through the roof. Long story short, with lots of testing, I appear to still have it so I'm strictly on my GD diet, pending an appointment with the specialist. So I guess the answer to your question is toast.... but not by choice.

Congratulations on all of the beautiful babies!
I have not been good at posting although I've tried to keep up along the way. I'm off work now and waiting for baby boy's arrival and trying to spend as much time as possible with my 3yo DD when I'm not exhausted. I have an appt tomorrow (almost 39 weeks). I was 3 cm and favorable the last 2 visits so maybe there's progress this time. I'm more nervous this time I think just not knowing how DD will react and the baby is measuring large, but seeing the beautiful babies here is helping. -

@Den mom: I've been cheered too with all the sweet newborn pictures. My son is 2&1/2 and I'm nervous too about how he will adjust.Right now I'm waiting for my final prenatal appointment. We'll do a membrane sweep and hopefully get closer to baby! I'm scheduled to be induced Wednesday if I don't go into labor first. I haven't had a cervical check yet so no idea if I'm favorable or not.
My MIL arrived last night. I am so glad she's here. Just having her at our home has been a huge mood booster, and I'm finally feeling a bit more relaxed. This weekend I spent a lot of time feeling like a mess being ready one minute and not ready the next.
My son is beyond thrilled that Grandma is here, I think my husband is relieved to have another set of hands. He's been carrying such a heavy load since I'm not really mobile. It was nice to have company this morning and start catching up with her over breakfast and then have help running errands that husband and I have been putting off. -

I'm 3 and 50% effaced so at the very least I'm favorable for induction. The sweep wasn't too bad, uncomfortable but not awful. I've had cramping off and on since then but nothing timeable. Wednesday I go in at 6 am if labor hasn't already started.

So I'm in birth moms state!!! I met with her today and we got pedis and I took her to dinner. We just sort of clicked. She will have her csection tomorrow!!! 15 hours from now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

William ( or Liam for short) was born yesterday at 1:49 pm. My waters started breaking on Friday night/ early Saturday morning. I called, and they told me to come to the hospital to get checked out. So we stopped for bagels and went to he hospital. I got brought to triage and was admitted. I wasn’t dileted, was about 60% effaced, and at a -3 position.
Once we were given a room they gave me a pill that was supposed to thin my cervix and could jump start labor. Four hours later they started me on pitocine. I had inconsistent contractions most of the afternoon and evening. I finally gave in to an epidural because I wasn’t sure how much longer I could handle the contractions on little to no sleep around 1 am Sunday. It definitely helped me get some much needed rest.
Around 11 am Sunday they decided I was far enough along to start pushing. And almost three hours later he was here. We had a bit of a scare right away because he wasn’t breathing. They rushed a whole team of people in within the first few minutes to open up his airway and get him breathing. He also wasn’t crying right away, but he finally gave out a yelp for them and finally they gave him to me. He also has some issues with his penis that will probably require a surgery at some point, probably around 6 months.
He weighed 6 lb, 5 oz and was 20 inches long. So far he’s a pretty good baby, except for feedings which we’re both working on.

It's wonderful that you and birth mom hit it off, good luck tomorrow!AFM, I had a favorable exam at my OB office on Friday and agreed to schedule an induction on 4/18, which is my due date. to be perfectly honest though, I'm not sure I'll make it to my due date, I've been really feling the BH ramp up and I just feel weird. Who knows, but one way or another, I'll be meeting my little girl in 7 days!!

Has anyone experienced an increased heartbeat while at rest? It's happened twice in the last 3-4 days. It doesn't last long, but I can feel my heart pounding through my chest.

Hi ladies! Baby Connor was born April 11th at 8:20 am weighing at 7 lbs 11 oz and 21" long,
I'm doing well just trying to manage the pain and Connor is getting the hang of breastfeeding. I feel so blessed and relieved that he is here now and our family is complete. We are still deciding on a middle name, either James or Reed. He's so so sleepy and haven't got many looks at him with his eyes open yet but he looks like his big brother. Big brother has came to visit him and absolutely loves it. I'm head over heels obsessed with this lil guy!!!!!
