@Bmaja: That's interesting that they moved up estimated delivery based on size. My practice uses the dating ultrasound in the beginning and from then on nothing changes. My DS2 was measuring 40 weeks at his 36 week ultrasound and I did wonder if he'd be likely to come early because of it...but no.
Today marks 37 weeks and officially full term. Yay! But also I want this baby out and here at home! I can't help but track the daily covid cases. Thankfully, while everything looks awful at the US level, it looks like my county is doing a pretty good job. Up until last week we were solidly doubling every 3.5 days, but we've started to flatten that curve a bit. That gives me hope that at least my personal hospital won't be totally overwhelmed.

@JennyPenny: Hallelujah! lol
Man, I'm irritated today. I've felt somewhat comfortable being at work so far because so many people have been working from home, but today, every single office employee is here. WTF. GO HOME. You have the ability to work from home, so, stay there! Ugh.

@JennyLayneAZ: I am so mad they won't let you stay home. It's just ridiculous given how close you are to giving birth anyway. I hope you can stay safe this last week and change.
I had a ton of false labor contractions last night that have left me so exhausted today. But of course everything stopped once I got up.

Hi ladies! My baby girl decided to come early. Her due date was April 7th. She was born Sunday, the 29th. About 4 hours from first contractions until she was here. I wasn’t even sure at first it was just braxton Hicks, but I went in to be sure and I was already 6cm dilated. Contractions came on strong quickly and I somehow made it through about an hour of them before I got the amazing epidural. I was 10 cm before we knew it and baby came out in 3 pushes.
Everly Grace was born at 10:21 PM weighing 8lb 5oz (a pound bigger than both my other girls).
I had a lot of bleeding, so had to be hooked up to a catheter all night and couldn’t get out of bed at all until late morning the next day.
This was my only non-induction birth and I think I preferred it over waiting for the induction drugs to take over.
I’m so in love with her as are my other two girls, 5 and 2. They just adore her.
I’m posting the only decent picture I have of her. I plan to take some better ones tomorrow and will post again. Can’t wait to hear all your stories and see your pics!

@CatchAFallingStar: congratulations! She’s beautiful! It’s also great to hear from you. You did it you made it through this pregnancy and your beautiful girl is here!

@CatchAFallingStar: congratulations! She’s so beautiful. I hope you continue to recover well. I know this has been a rough journey but what a marvelous ending

@CatchAFallingStar: how beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story. Our first birth in the group!!! I have a 5 year old daughter who’s excited for her new sister. Any advice on introductions would be appreciated.
@JennyPenny: Sorry I misspoke probably. That was the EDC, the original projected due date still stands.

Ugh! I have kept my kids away from the neighbors for the past week and it’s been really hard making DS so sad on a regular basis and having to explain why he can’t play with his friends. I went for a solo walk this afternoon and DH let them go play together!! I’m so mad. He both undid a week of my quarantine AND undid everything I said about how they couldn’t do that.
nectarine / 2690 posts
@JennyPenny: I'm so sorry, that's really frustrating.
My poor daughter asks every day if we can go to the grocery store....she just doesn't understand why we can't go wherever we want, whenever we want.
We had a scary day yesterday. One of dh's employees is sick, with a fever. They literally had to threaten the guy with an ambulance to get him to go to the hospital to get tested. They did 2 tests, the first test came back negative, thank God. The second is the blood test which they're still waiting for results, but we feel better knowing the rapid test was negative for covid-19. But, with that, dh has been working from home, and my work just had me stay home yesterday and today, so, no more work for me until late May!
I'm really angry that I'm not able to be excited about Bonnie being here in a few days. I'm terrified all the time.

@JennyLayneAZ: eeek! That’s scary! But I’m glad you guys are both home for a while. That’s got to feel good finally. And I think your last sentence just sums up how I’ve feeling so well. I’m angry that I’m feeling more fear than excitement right now and I’m scared that the anxiety will continue even after she’s here
cherry / 134 posts
@JennyPenny: I think we all be too sleepy to worry
@JennyLayneAZ: that is scary! So glad your work was quick to react also.

How's everyone doing? I've had a busy weekend of cleaning the hospital called to go over the billing, etc, but also informed me that we have to enter through the emergency department. So they will evaluate us and then escort us to labor and delivery from there. Which quite honestly feels terrifying.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: even for a scheduled c-section you have to go through the ED!?! That seems crazy! Ugh, that would stress me out too, but surely they have a proper set up I guess. Im sure no one wants to limit cases as much as health care workers.
I had a busy weekend too. Did all the final things to get ready for baby - sterilized bottles, installed car seats, set up some nursing stations for myself. I have a final appt tomorrow and I’ll ask again for a membrane sweep. At this point I feel like I’m gonna make it to my c-section date and thankfully my state and county have done a good job so far keeping the curve down so things actually seem less dire than they did a few weeks ago. But I am ready to meet baby girl!! Actually, I just remembered that DH and I haven’t picked a name yet. We should probably do that too
nectarine / 2690 posts
@JennyPenny: I hope they have some sort of set up for healthy vs sick, but I really have no idea. I have the mask they gave me at the Dr office on Thursday, so I will definitely be wearing that at the least.
I still have bottles to sterilize lol I will do that tomorrow after my ultrasound. I did get some of the bottle nipples done and a couple of pacifiers.
Good luck on choosing the name are you guys deciding between a couple or completely at zero?
I feel like as a whole, Maricopa county isn't doing absolutely horrible yet, but I dont know what the experts think.
I have friends posting on Facebook pictures of them (and people they know that i don't) all camping together 🤦♀️ from this weekend. Someone called them out on it and they just defended themselves together. I just don't understand. ☹

Oh man, the IHME forecasts updated yesterday and NC is looking FANTASTIC!!! https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections The peak has moved up, but also way way down which reflects the numbers I've been tracking myself. Feeling so relieved.
@JennyLayneAZ: We had a pretty strong contender for 1st name, but pretty much 0 consensus on a middle name Hopefully that just means I can win and get the name I want...

@JennyPenny: @JennyLayneAZ: ok so I have no idea how to make a thread and I dont mean to alarm anyone but man it’d be helpful to crowd source on here what symptoms people with + covid have shown. Hubby and daughter are having GI symptoms. One in the middle of the night one this morning. Googling is not my friend. https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200401/mild-covid-19-often-appears-with-only-gastro-symptoms-study

Also, I’m in a state that has low numbers and we are pretty well isolated and careful. So just hoping it’s a fluke. But no common foods were eaten.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@Bmaja: If you're on the main page of the boards just scroll to the very bottom to create a new page. But it does seem weird that they could catch either a stomach bug or coronavirus with being so isolated. Really hoping there was a common food you forgot about.
cherry / 134 posts
@JennyPenny: ya that’s so what I’m hoping!! Probably going to forgo starting a post... it’s so easy as a pregnant person to think everything is covid. Exhausted, check, cant breath, check, cough, check (stupid allergies). Just a bad night with too much googling. Thanks for the response.
nectarine / 2690 posts
@Bmaja: I have all of the above also lol allergies aren't helping anything right now 🤞🤞🤞fingers crossed that everything is ok with your family.
@JennyPenny: rooting for you to get your name pick!
Last ultrasound is in 15 minutes ladies should get a decent idea of how big she'll be on Thursday.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@Bmaja: Seriously! Between pregnancy and asthma it's so hard to not symptom spot. *fingers crossed* we all stay healthy these last few weeks.
@JennyLayneAZ: Good luck!
I just had my last appt. Still just 1cm but I did get a sweep so we'll see if that does anything. At this point I'm not optimistic since I have apparently done nothing on my own the past few weeks...
nectarine / 2690 posts
She's measuring 8 lbs 2 oz! She had a growth spurt lol we were expecting 7 and a half and I just installed the car seat
sooooo...pretty much ready now as far as me and the baby go. Gotta get the dog food and stuff situated. And dh and DD1 don't have anything packed yet, so, hopefully we just make it to Thursday and I don't go into labor on my own lol
nectarine / 2460 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: wow, that’s a good size! I’m curious to see how accurate it ends up being. And wow, just 3 days max till you have your baby girl. Incredible! I can’t wait to hear how everything goes!
nectarine / 2690 posts
@JennyPenny: Im curious too. Last time they kept saying DD1 would be at least 8 lbs and she wasn't (7 lb 11 oz) but, they weren't doing ultrasounds, it was just based on me lol
Yeah, I'm already having trouble sleeping. Its going to be a long week. I'm not sure knowing her birthday is great for my mental health lol

My membrane sweep left me feeling crampy and blah today but nothing super interesting happened. I tried to push it after the kids went to bed with 40 minute walk and stimulation with my breast pump. I had some nice contractions for about 40 minutes but they’ve since disappeared. I might try again in the morning though.
cherry / 134 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: I think there’s an uncertainty of plus or minus 0.7 lbs.
@JennyPenny: using your breast pump, girl you are ready!! Wishing you thoughts of opening your body!
nectarine / 2690 posts
@Bmaja: yeah the ultrasound tech said it could vary by a pound in either direction.
@JennyPenny: good luck!!
nectarine / 2460 posts
Tried again this morning, same result. Strongish contractions while I was attached to the pump and it faded shortly after turning it off. I think I'm done with that. My nipples are getting sore and the last thing I need is to wear them out prematurely.
nectarine / 2690 posts
@JennyPenny: you gave it a good shot! I was somewhat hoping baby would try to make her appearance today but i don't think that's happening. I just liked the idea of 4/7 & 4/17 for my girls birthdays lol
We got out of the house for a little bit....to the camper! Lol she's having a blast, so, whatever!
nectarine / 2460 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: Too funny! I've had the same thought but for me it'd be 4/8 and 4/18 And having a camper to go to sounds awesome. Any change of scenery at this point would be lovely.
nectarine / 2690 posts
@JennyPenny: yeah it's nice. Just wish it were a tad bit cooler. I don't want to turn on the a/c. I told my mom I'd probably feel comfortable if I didn't have this heater in my belly lol
cherry / 134 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: ya serious I’m sweating like crazy. It is hillarious how much you can focused on a certain bday! I so wanted my daughter to be born before midnight because it was a date I could remember... now I have found myself wishing I could go past my due date for the same reason- but not gonna happen.
@JennyPenny: let me know if all that pumping helps your supply!
nectarine / 2690 posts
@Bmaja: I'm sure once they're born we'll have no problems remembering their birthdays 🤣 although I do remember switching dd1s birth day and birth year once lmao theyre only 1 digit apart so 🤷♀️ new mom brain lol
nectarine / 2460 posts
@JennyLayneAZ: haha, I do the same thing! DS2 is 4/18/17 and I told DH that if this baby came on 4/19/20 we'd be in serious trouble...too many digits too close together. Thankfully with the repeat C scheduled for the 14th that won't happen
