@pregnantbee: @OldpuebloJenn: @CoffeeMom: thanks!!!!
@LCTBQE: thanks!! I am supposed to be discharged tomorrow am but i think my ob might let me go home tonight. I'm still in a decent amount of pain, but i don't see how an extra night in the hospital bed would help that! How are you doing? I am sorry our babies won't get to hang out here!

@Pirouette: ooh that would be great to go home tonight! did you end up getting the private room? how's your baby doing, and is the c-section easier this time since you know what you're dealing with?
My update is that I've been having what I *think* are contractions since 7:30am--I'm 40+2 today. I've had probably 6 or 7 that I can't talk through, and a bunch more mixed in that are just intense but not awful. I'm feeling it in my lower back and a couple have had the tightening from the top down; the lighter ones just feel like bad menstrual cramps. None have lasted longer than 30 seconds, and so far they don't seem to be picking up in duration (maybe every 15-20 minutes?). I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I am REALLY ready to get this party started. Sound promising to yall?

@LCTBQE: Aaaaah totally sounds promising. Can you walk and stay active to see if they progress or start a more obvious pattern?

@Pirouette: Congratulations! Hope you have a smooth recovery!
@LCTBQE: I have no experience with spontaneous labor, but it sounds promising to me! Good luck!

@LCTBQE: Definitely promising! Sometimes early labor starts out like that. Mine did this time - and then it went away completely - and then she basically flew out hours later. So don't be discouraged if it starts and stops a bit. Every contraction is doing something and hopefully it will get into a good pattern here soon! Thinking of you!

@LCTBQE: ooh! Exciting!! I did get the private room, and am so happy i did. I would be miserable without my husband around (though he would be happier sleeping on a normal bed!) c section recovery is similar to last time, though i was much sicker in recovery this time around. I think they gave me much more anesthesia than last time, and i was extremely nauseous all day after. But now, it's just about the same. This baby already seems pretty different from my daughter in terms of eating and sleeping... I'm hoping he's not the opposite of my super laid back easy daughter! but i had severe engorgement when my milk came in with my first, so far this has been better... The hospital has treated me fabulously, and hopefully you'll have a similar experience very very shortly!!!
@pwnstar: thanks!!

@T.H.O.U.: baby girl is here! Tough couple of days that ultimately ended up in a c section. But she's here and healthy! Born 8/27/16 at 1:14pm 6 lb 8oz 19 inches. I'll work on a birth update later. Thanks for all your thoughts and check ins! So glad to be on the other side of this!

@pregnantbee: @pwnstar: @coopsmama: @Pirouette: thanks ladies. contractions are definitely real; I'm heading in pretty soon.
@Pirouette: oh that is so encouraging to know you had another good experience there! I think I'm going to bite the bullet on the private room (although if the only one left is the $1500 central park view suite, fucking forget it). so glad your baby is doing well and hope he's chill like his sister

Pirouette someone took your room before I could claim it! Rats. In a share that was recently vacated, at least I'm saving money. There were zero available last night. But I'm truly sorry to have missed you the staff here is so lovely, I agree. Our l&d nurse Kandy was incredible.
Not sure if we will go home tomorrow after the circumcision and OB checkup or Tues morning. Finally just got 3 hours of sleep, feel like a new woman
