@agold: my daughter's nursery was 100% gender neutral! We knew she was a girl, but the bedding I loved had a lot of green so her room is green

@pregnantbee: The room I have for the nursery is light blue. I want to keep it that way for either gender. I hope that doesn't present a problem with being team green.

As for blue walls -- I think it depends what color furniture and what other accessories you end up adding. That said, we painted the nursery tan. The other room that we'll use for #2 is currently yellow, but I'd like to repaint it the same tan.

Oh also I had the date for my ultrasound wrong! It was not yesterday, it is next Saturday! Another week of waiting to finally hear the hb.

@Glitter: my daughter is SO rough with me! Baby is pretty protected though so I still play with DD like I normally would. I'll probably ask her to be more gentle as the pregnancy progresses. My 2.5 year old loved running and falling on me when I was 6 months along with my second and it was so painful!

These hormones are getting ridiculous. DH and I got into an argument about something trivial and unimportant today, but for reasons I could not control, I burst into tears. And I felt so silly for crying that I started laughing at the same time. Just sobbing and laughing all together. I think my H was a bit frightened lol.

@MrsSCB: yesterday DH and I "fought" because he waited to make spaghetti nests and I can't handle them right now. I was upset because he wanted to use the bacon and sausage on something I couldn't eat. He was like "um we can buy more you know." I almost cried. I know totally crazy but bacon, you know.

@MrsRcCar: and @MrsSCB: you poor girls with your hormones! Your "fights" are a little funny though. Food - especially bacon (!) - is enough to get anyone worked up. You both have the best excuse.

@agold: we did a robins blue and bright yellow accents for our TG nursery. When DD came I bought a few pink baskets and it looks great. And very feminine. We are keeping that room as the nursery, and we are replacing the yellow with navy blue. If we have another girl-I'll add pink again! If a boy, more blue!

@MrsRcCar: I hope that its lighter! When is your next appointment with the doctor? Do you work, or are you able to stay home and rest a bit. I was just talking to my husband's co-worker's wife and she texted me that she thing "rest saves babies." I thought that was sweet. I'm almost hoping my bed rest gets extended another week so I can avoid my workplace.

@agold: My next doctor appointment is on Friday. I am a stay at home mom to two little boys (3years and almost 2 years). We have been able to lay down and rest pretty well. I am not sure what this week holds outside of speech therapy (x2 for my boys) and my doctors appointment.

Morning guys!!! I don't have another u/s scheduled til the end of March
Boohoo. They aren't doing an NT scan on me this time, just the cell-free DNA. That's happening 1/28 and then it takes 2 weeks for results to come back, so we'll know gender and any genetic disorders then. I'm having trouble participating in this thread because I'm still convinced I'm going to lose this one too It's getting out of hand!

@ShootingStar: Yep - the cell-free DNA blood test is way more accurate as a screening tool so insurance won't pay for me to do both that AND the NT scan

Can someone add me to the ultrasound list? I'm on my phone and it won't let me copy/paste. Mine is scheduled for 1/16 - this Saturday! So excited for our first peek at the baby! We won't be finding out gender yet though

Talked to my doctors this morning. No urinary infection. I have an appointment on Wednesday with the NP and my NT ultrasound on Friday at 10. This bleed is making it hard to be excited or hopeful. I told DH last night that I am having a hard time holding out hope for good news at my appointments this week. The nurse said it is perfectly normal for people with hematomas to do this. I am hope she's right but I am terrified.

I was wavering whether to even join this group because I'm so nervous about getting bad news when i finally have my 1st appt. but I realized for me that having support from you guys would help no matter what happens, and hearing about all of your appointments has helped pass the long wait until mine. somehow, hearing about others having good appointments has made me feel a little more optimistic, even though there's no reason to be! we're here for you no matter what happens, even if you feel like taking a step back until you're ready to participate more @MrsRcCar: I hope the nurse is right! at least that's good news about no infection. I hope this week's appts gives you some solace

And yes, at my next appt on 1/28 they should be able to hear with a doppler, which will help! Only 1.5 more weeks til then. That's also the day they are drawing blood for my Panorama test so it'll be a big milestone if all goes well on both counts.

@JoJoGirl: I think that appt will be very reassuring for you! ok, so we're counting down till 1/28 then - that's the date i'm waiting on in my head too, because DH and I are going on a little mini-break that day - a little spa trip, and when we get back sunday, my appointment is the next morning! 2.5 more weeks!

@JoJoGirl: yup, first one! it's my first appointment - my doc does an ultrasound at every appt though so i know i'll have one. I should be 9.5 weeks or so! and yea, i'm so excited - I booked it as an xmas gift for DH's bday (which is that week). Had initially planned on also hitting up some wineries that are nearby, but we'll skip that part on account of recent events

@JoJoGirl: I'm sorry you are struggling. I have my moments when it's overwhelming to think about all the possible negative outcomes, but, for the most part I am okay. Have you thought about seeing someone? Having a truly confidential outlet . . . being able to say everything out loud can be very cathartic, and help to minimize the fear associated with those feelings. ((Hugs))

Initially I was disappointed that I didn't think i'd enjoy it fully because i was nervous about the appt, but I've convinced myself the timing is perfect so I can relax and clear my mind those last few days

Sorry I have been MIA this weekend. My DH came home! He surprised me and it made it home by 5 pm on Friday night, so he was able to see the kids before bed time. My heart was at such peace with him home this weekend. I am still have bleeding, even while on bed rest, but having him home really made me realize that we will be ok, no matter what happens. That man is my rock. I am lucky girl ladies!
My mom comes into town today and will stay with me for the week. I think she will probably be begging to leave my tomorrow.
Caring for an almost 2 year old and a 3.5 year old full time is no joke and she is not used to it. Hopefully she hangs in there until DH comes home on Friday. My goal for the day is not to start bawling when DH leaves (preggo hormones are lovely), and to try to stretch more if possible. My body is starting to feel ouchie from all this bed rest. No appointments for me until next week.Is anyone doing anything fun this week?

@JoJoGirl: I'm so very sorry you are having such a tough time. I feel you, girl. I am so morbid with my thoughts that sometimes I can't even believe I'm able to walk around and function as I do. But I'm able to remain hopeful because of just how badly I really want this baby. I hope your worry can start to lessen soon.
@Pirouette: I was also unsure about when to join this group. But I've found that after every good ultrasound appointment, I'm always worrying about and hoping for something else to be present at the next one. Basically, I constantly worry. So when was I going to be able to join this group? But like you, I'm so glad I did because I'm really enjoying the support. And that's awesome you are going to the spa. Can you please tell me what you plan to do there? Are you far enough along for a massage? I looooooove spas.

As for myself, in addition to the bleeding, I now have a fairly constant involuntary twitch in my right butt check. Thank you, PIO shots and/or bed rest.
