@agold: it's a decently large goodie bag! I'll take a photo when I get home!
Thanks ladies! I'm just so weird about special parking spots, almost like parking in a handicap lol. I'm totally parking there next time though

Just wanted to pop in to say CONGRATS to all the mamas who have found out the sex recently!!
There's so many that it was taking me too long to reply to everyone

@pregnantbee: OMG!! That looks amazing!! It's breakfast, I haven't even finished my blueberry maple oatmeal and I'm already thinking about lunch. P.S. I am soooo glad I'm not the only one who was overwhelmed by Buy Buy Baby!
ETA: is that the goodie bag for registering with them?

For the Post-a-Thon today, how about some questions:
- How much movement are you feeling?
- Name picked out or favorite name?
- Top craving and top aversion
- Weirdest pregnancy comment
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
- How much movement are you feeling? A lot last week, none this week. But heard the HB yesterday so it's okay
- Name picked out or favorite name?
We're superstitious about sharing it before birth, but I think we picked one
- Top craving and top aversion
Craving: anything unhealthy
Aversion: anything healthy
- Weirdest pregnancy comment
This morning! "I wasn't sure you were pregnant until I saw your belly button sticking out"
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone
3/25 - Anatomy scan!!! Regular OB appt went well yesterday. Little nugget still has a hb

- How much movement are you feeling?
Starting to feel lots of pops and flutters this week.
- Name picked out or favorite name?
Need opinions for sure! DH and I haven't talked about it at all, so hopefully we can start the conversations soon.
- Top craving - Pizza and Fries
- Top aversion - Meat
- Weirdest pregnancy comment
Oh you are showing (well yes, I'm 16 weeks on my third kid, thats kinda to be expected).
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone
Anatomy Scan 3/24
pomelo / 5257 posts
- How much movement are you feeling? None, that I know of I'm so impatient! I think I can tell that he/she is moving based on my bump being bigger on one side or the other at different times. And I think the baby is growing a lot because I had a ton of RLP yesterday.
- Name picked out or favorite name? We're waiting until we find out the gender to have a real name discussion. I do know that my fave boy name (Felix) has been vetoed, boo! I also love James, but not sure if it would be weird with my husband's last name, because that's the name of a former president haha.
- Top craving and top aversion. Craving: cake. Also, weirdly, this week I really want chicken wings and potato skins. Maybe we'll go to Buffalo Wild Wings or something tomorrow. No real aversions.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment. "Are you going to have the baby in Texas or are you going to travel back to Virginia [where I'm from] for a little while?" Umm, I'll be having the baby where I live...
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone. Gender US on Saturday!! And then next appointment on Tuesday.
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
My kids have had rotavirus this week (was up for 3 hours in the night last night with my puking two year old - and it was coming out of both ends ) so I feel like I haven't even been able to glance at this thread and I feel so behind! Sorry friends! No time to go back and comment on everything but happy to see some fun conversations and updates.
How much movement are you feeling? Movement every day now!
- Name picked out or favorite name? We've got several on a list for both sexes but absolutely nothing concrete. We need to discuss further. I thought we had a boy front runner but apparently DH changed his mind! Naming the third child is tough, I'm realizing.
- Top craving and top aversion.
Craving - not much recently. I was on a soda kick for a bit. Aversion - breakfast foods still
- Weirdest pregnancy comment.
It definitely still has to be the comment from the lady who asked me if I just didn't realize I was pregnant for 16 weeks because I didn't announce until then.
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone
My next appointment will be the 25th for both a midwife visit and the anatomy scan. We're looking forward to it! I've definitely noticed my anticipation about gender isn't nearly as much as it was with the other two - probably because I already have one of each and would be delighted with either one this time! They are both so much fun!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@coopsmama: Feel better! The Rotavirus is scary and a huge pain! My daughter ended up in the ER with it. Hopefully the vomiting is only 24 hours.
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@JoJoGirl: yay for the h/b!!! and for picking a name!
@coopsmama: you poor thing i hope everyone feels better asap! my daughter and i have colds right now, and it sucks.
- How much movement are you feeling? You mean gas? LOTS! oh you mean the baby? not much, unfortunately. I have had a few moments of "maybe", but I have an anterior placenta so probably nothing concrete for a while
- Name picked out or favorite name? we have like 10-15 names that we have both agreed we don't hate. we haven't gone through the list together yet, just independently, so I don't know if there's anything he loves yet. I'm thinking we'll wait until sex is confirmed at the anatomy scan.
- Top craving and top aversion? Craving = SALT and butter. anything savory. give me all the buttered popcorn please! Aversion = not totally an aversion but I can't swallow pills. I have zero nausea, but i gag on every single pill i try to swallow - WTF?!
- Weirdest pregnancy comment? from a man in my office: "You're due in August? have you lost your mind?? you're going to be so uncomfortable this summer!"
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone? Tomorrow is a quick u/s, weight and bp check. excited to make sure baby is ok in there, as it's been a few weeks. then the 15th is our first anatomy scan!
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Pirouette: OMG someone said that to you about August?!
Although I am TOTALLY ashamed to admit now I was marginally pissed at my cousin for being due on my actual wedding day. Even thought to myself "wtf, I got engaged before they conceived?!". LOL. Not like, talked to her about it pissed, but more disappointed that as a result both they AND my uncle and aunt missed my wedding. Ah well.
Also - how do you get a "quick u/s"??? I haven't had an u/s since my viability scan at 6 weeks Won't have my next til my anatomy scan!

- How much movement are you feeling? A pretty good amount. Seems like every day, at least a few times a day, especially in the morning.
- Name picked out or favorite name? We decided last week on Lily Lucia
- Top craving and top aversion. I don't really have cravings, at least not strong, I must have this NOW kind of things. I have been in the mood for pasta and cereal lately though.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment. "I'm sooo sooo glad you're having a girl!" from my mom's best friend. I was thinking jeez, what if it had been a boy again?? And how does it affect her life?
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone. Regular appointment on Monday, I think I have my A/S in a month.
clementine / 928 posts
How much movement are you feeling? Felt first ones last week but not much since.
- Name picked out or favorite name? We're Team Green and haven't narrowed down the list much. We plan on taking 2 of each sex to the hospital and deciding after we meet him/her!
- Top craving and top aversion
Craving: fruit, fries, and banana peppers
Aversions: None!
- Weirdest pregnancy comment- When we told our parents around New Years, my mom asked if it was planned
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone- A/S is 3/18!
pomelo / 5257 posts
@mrschickpea: People keep asking me that, too, including my grandma. I want to be like, "Yes, we do know what happens when you have unprotected sex..."
@Pirouette: lol yesterday my new boss, who doesn't know I'm pregnant yet, was talking to me, my current boss and another coworker, going on and on to my current boss, who is 32 weeks about how, "At least the weather is nice now! I had my daughter in the winter. I feel soooooo bad for all these women I see waddling around in July and August. It is way too hot here!" etc. etc. The other two ladies do know I'm due in August so the three of us were listening just trying not to laugh.
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@JoJoGirl: yes, a 65 year old man, because of course he understands the struggles of summer pregnancies
My OB does a very brief u/s at every appt - she doesn't bother measuring growth, just looks for/listens to h/b and makes sure baby looks like it's growing in there. She doesn't do doppler or measure the belly, she just does the u/s instead. When I go to the u/s center for the anatomy scan, I'll have the full measurements, 3D, etc. so this one's a "quick" one
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@MrsSCB: hahaha, if he used the word "waddle" with me, i might have slapped him! I just countered with "at least the weather will be nice when he's born - my first was born in the dead of winter and we were literally housebound for months. that was way worse for my sanity, i'd say!

- How much movement are you feeling? None I keep thinking maybe.....but I really don't think so yet.
- Name picked out or favorite name? Working on it.
- Top craving and top aversion - Craving changes all the time. I've been through bagel month(s), citrus week, french toast/pancakes. Aversion: salad. All salad. And dealing with raw protein like raw chicken. Ew.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment - Not weird, but not polite. "Wow, you're only 4 months? You're gonna be HUGE." Thanks.
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone - Anatomy scan on 3/8. Eek!
apricot / 256 posts
How much movement are you feeling? Don't think anything real but I wake up every morning feeling very "full?" On the left side of my low belly.
- Name picked out or favorite name? Well, in my family we pass Margaret from generation to generation so our girl will likely have Margaret in her name. Oddly enough my mom called me this week and told me she really liked the nickname of Greta for Margaret which is what my great grandmother went by. This is odd because I mentioned the exact same thing to my DH two weeks ago. We've got a list of partner names but nothing super solid yet.
- Top craving and top aversion
Craving: McDonalds French Fries, sweet breakfast, cake, sweets in general which is so totally NOT me!
Aversions: Healthy food and cooking in general, which is typically my outlet.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment- probably still the "pooching out" comment. Another weird one that was from my mom was a comment about how I thought I might be feeling a little movement and she was like "it's so soon, the end of August is so far away!" Oh, ok, let me go ahead and understand when you think I should be hitting these milestones and then adjust to that. My mom and I have a wonderful relationship but man, we know how to hit each other right in the nerves! I think that's part of why the universe is giving us a girl
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone- I have another appointment with my OB on 3/24, A/S is 3/31 and couldn't be here soon enough.
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
@T.H.O.U.: Thanks! I thought we were headed for an ER trip last night. It was soooo bad. Thankfully he listened to me and kept drinking even though it just kept coming backing out - I just kept pumping him full of water and Gatordaee which I had on hand from the vomiting I've had with the pregnancy. He understands (and hates) needles so I told him if he didn't drink he would have to go to the doctors to feel better and there would be needles so he kept at it. I was amazed. This morning seems to be less frequent than it has been the last few days - just lots of couch time and snuggles and bathroom trips. @Pirouette: Hope your colds go away asap!

- How much movement are you feeling? Not much. I think I've felt it a few times, but not 100% sure. I hoped I would feel more by now (I'm 18w2d), but I have an anterior placenta so it may be a while
- Name picked out or favorite name? We have names picked out for both a girl and a boy (both after our family members), but aren't sharing until after the baby is born.
- Top craving and top aversion: Craving - Raspberries and pickles! Aversion - none really.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment: "Wow, you're going to be SO hot this summer!"
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone: Anatomy scan on 3/17! We will find out gender at that appointment - I can't wait!!

@T.H.O.U.: What a great idea!
- How much movement are you feeling? :
A few distinctive kicks here and there, but over all just more flutters and flops . . . not to mention RL pain and BH!
- Name picked out or favorite name?:
Nope! We're working on it, but I have to say it has been tough. We have a pretty good list, and I have a couple of favorites, but DH is not having anything "jump out at him" yet . . . doood, it's not a jack-in-the-box. CANWENAMETHISBABYALREADY?! kthxbai
- Top craving and top aversion:
Fruit (berries!) and anything with lemon . . . lemon bars, lemon curd, anything (just writing that makes me drool!). Also, greek yogurt with granola. No big aversions, but @Pirouette:, I am also having problems with swallowing pills too. *augh.*
- Weirdest pregnancy comment: "I can't believe you're still wearing heels! Are you going to wear heels all through this pregnancy like you did with the last?" Okay. Right. Well, I'm just 16 weeks. And yes, as a matter of fact, I probably will wear heels until I deliver (anything to make me feel more like a lithe giraffe instead of a squat-ty hippo . . . hey, a girl can dream!) . . . And why do you remember what I wore on my feet over three years ago?!
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone:
I have my 16 week appointment tomorrow, and the A/S on March 30!
pomelo / 5257 posts
@pwnstar: Ha, sounds like my husband. I'll read a bunch of names to him and he's just like, "That's OK. That's OK. That's OK," etc. I'm like, "Just OK??" He says he'll just need to let the names sit with him for awhile....huh. I think I'm going to tell him he can come up with the next list
@CoffeeMom: I think if someone told me I was going to be "so hot this summer" I'd be like, "Haha, yeah, so are you!" I mean it's just hot as hell where I live in general, so we're all in the same boat down here
pear / 1718 posts
@CoffeeMom: I live in the South, and I had my LO in early September. So yeah, I know exactly what I'm in for . . . thanks Captain Obvious. *eye roll*
@pregnantbee: The comments just keep rolling in . . . not to mention that there are several people who obviously stare at/check out my belly every day. And not even in a subtle way. It's super obvious and super annoying!
pear / 1718 posts
@MrsSCB: When my husband comes up with names, it quickly goes from constructive to "Hamish!" or "Bruce Wayne!" . . . not that those aren't lovely names, they're just not quite what I had in mind.
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@pwnstar: Eye. Roll. Also, I think you may win for best commentary: "And why do you remember what I wore on my feet over three years ago?!"
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
- How much movement are you feeling?
Quite a bit now, with consistency which is nice. My husband felt it a little last night too, which is exciting. Its about 2 weeks earlier than he felt it last time, but we both know what we're looking for now I guess!
- Name picked out or favorite name?
I'm pretty sure we are set on Alden or Wilhelmina. There are a couple other girls names we toss around, but nothing feels quite as "right" as Wilhelmina (Willa)
- Top craving and top aversion
It changes a lot. Early on I was getting a ton of really specific cravings (like a specific meal from a specific restaurant). I'm not too excited about any food, lately. Haven't had many aversions since my nausea ended.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment
A few of my clients made some awkward comments, but mostly from teenagers who don't know what to say or from young women with serious body image issues, so I forgive them all and don't take it personally
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone
Have a regular check up on Monday, but mostly looking forward to my anatomy scan on the 22nd.
pomelo / 5257 posts
@pwnstar: bahaha my husband has also suggested Hamish before, also not seriously, because he is Scottish and I guess that's his token super scottish name lol.
cherry / 239 posts
@MrsSCB: @pwnstar: We also live in the south, so I felt like saying "I'm well aware, thanks!" Because a 105 heat index isn't enough without being pregnant haha. I was glad my filter was working that day!
apricot / 382 posts
How much movement are you feeling? I think I've felt a little here and there, but I sure wish it was more defined and consistent. I'm eager to have that reasurance.
- Name picked out or favorite name? I have a few names I like, but DH just refuses to seriously talk about it yet. I think he is still hesitant to get attached because of all the problems at the beginning and he is a bit stunned still that we are pregnant. When I attempt to bring up names he jokingly suggests the following: Chuck or Norris, Torque or Wrench, Glock or Smith Wesson. Men!!
- Top craving: Nothing consistent. I really wanted chicken salad for a week. Now I cant stand it!
Top aversion: Raw meat. EWWW. I will barf.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment - I've skated by with no weirdness yet, but I stay at home so I avoid the work comments.
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone- Next Tuesday. I'm so nervous already!
apricot / 256 posts
@pregnantbee: and now I can't stop thinking of Sisqo and the thong song....
ETA: because of the lyric "she's got dumps like a truck"
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@mrschickpea: That is a nice goodie bag!
- How much movement are you feeling?
None at this time! I hope to feel some soon.
- Name picked out or favorite name?
Nothing is decided upon yet. We had great boy names, but now that baby is a girl, we are having a tough time. Husband is set on Madison, but its a name he and I liked maybe 8 years ago. It just doesn't see to be a name for this baby. I like Avery Lynn, (Husband says there's a baseball player with last name Avery, so cool, but basketball player with first name Avery, so not too cool; Ugh); Harper Hazel (too cutesy?); Amelia Grace; and then just Grace with undecided middle name.
- Top craving and top aversion
No cravings. And aversion to lentil soup, which was my favorite for years up until about 3 weeks ago. Total bummer. I am craving panini sandwiches, which was also my go-to and I just miss it. Darn the no deli meat rule.
- Weirdest pregnancy comment
My boss told me he thought I would have waited to get pregnant a few more months. Umm.. sorry, I didn't consult you.
- Next appointment/ultrasound/milestone
March 10 in the morning! I don't think I meet with the OB though. So not sure what kind of appointment it will be. I'll just be happy to be weighed in the morning rather than right after lunch like last night. And I confirmed they will check for a heartbeat at every single appointment. Whew.
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@MrsKerch: Haha, sorry! "Dump Truck" was a joke for baby #1. And I can't even remember where it came from -- not from that song, though!
