EDD: we'll see what they say at 8w - officially 8/8 but probably will get moved back due to long cycles
First child? Third - my others will be 6 and 3 as of January
Any symptoms? worst is fatigue but all the usual stuff . . . definitely starting to feel it more as I get to 6w
Who have you told? just DH and HB. I might tell my mom while visiting over Christmas if I feel too sick/tired to hide it, but after losses it feels really hard to say it.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? this is my 8th confirmed pregnancy and my last loss in March was at 11w so it will be really hard to relax until at least the NIPT comes back. but I think this may be my last pregnancy regardless of outcome so I'm trying to enjoy whatever I can, however long it lasts. My dating scan is scheduled for 1/3 and I'm super nervous about seeing a hb. I'm also pretty nervous about surviving pregnancy with two other kids and surviving third tri in the Texas summer heat!

Yay! @bhbee thanks for starting this! We also have I think same edd and both number 3, so fun. I’ve been waiting for an August thread! My last due date group was/is amazing!
Location: Vancouver BC
EDD: Aug 8 (?)
First child? #3! I have a DS4 and DD2.5
Any symptoms? So so so nauseous and hungry and nauseous and bad skin
Who have you told? Immediate family. Reactions were mixed lol
Current thoughts/feelings/fears- hoping for the best! Dating scan is on Wednesday Dec 20! Am afraid of twins or a molar pregnancy or something awful because feel so sick so early this time.

@bhbee: thank you for starting this board! I’m nervous about joining but jumping in!
Location: Germany
EDD: 14 August
First child? Yes!
Any symptoms? Yes and that makes me hopeful. They come and go in waves - nausea, fatigue and insomnia, incredibly sore boobs since before I found out.
Who have you told? DH, three very close friends (one who is an OB/GYN) and one of my bosses who would have found out soon due to the nature of my work and he was very sweet with my May loss.
Current thoughts/feeling/fears - nervous and a bit scared. Have my first appointment with a scan today. I feel like I’ll have a better result but I do think walking into the same doctors office and knowing last time was bad news will be hard today. Even DH is afraid to get his hopes up too much until we see the scan today (as he told me last night). I just hope all the sysmptoms that seemed to start so early (before 5 weeks) is a good thing since I didn’t have them at all with my loss. Plus I worry about being an old mama (found out I’m pregnant on my big 40th birthday) and we are moving this summer back to the US for my job so I feel like there’s a lot of stuff going on without adding a new and first baby. One day at a time though!

@fuzzypeaches: I definitely got mixed reactions last time too! Good luck with your dating scan this week!

Thank you for starting this! I’ve been anxiously awaiting an August board
Location: California
EDD: August 10
First child? Second, DS is 14 months
Any symptoms? Mainly just tired, slight nausea that comes and goes
Who have you told? DH, a few close girlfriends, and the moms from my October 2016 group
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Just anxious for my first ultrasound...my doctor doesn’t do it till 10 weeks and the wait is torture. Also trying to wrap my brain around this pregnancy...it took a long time and Clomid to get pregnant with DS, and this one was a complete shock...never thought I’d have a surprise pregnancy!

Just got back from the doctor. A big sigh of relief here for me. There was a gestational sac and a yolk sac detected. Doctor said it was too soon to see the embryo as the yolk sac measured only 2mm. He was very happy for me - didn’t express any doubts (he was brutally honest with me during my last ultrasound when I had a missed miscarriage so I know he would have said something today if he was concerned) and I head back for another scan on 4 January. Not out of the woods yet but I feel soooo much better.

@MrsJBeeG: that’s amazing, what a relief. Hopefully it will be a bit easier to enjoy the holidays now
@bhbee: I can’t imagine what you’ve gone through with 8 pregnancies! Do they have any idea in terms of why the losses? We’re they all in first tri? I’m hoping this is a nice sticky one for you
clementine / 950 posts
@Kitkat: I had my kids close together like that as well (I found out I was pregs on my sons firsr birthday party haha) and it’s been such a joy to have them so close! They are like little bffs and love all the same things and okay so nicely together!

@MrsJBeeG: glad to hear it! I’ll be anxiously waiting for the first week of January with you!
@fuzzypeaches: I’ve had all the testing but the only conclusion was that we make a lot of bad embryos. My last loss was a trisomy and we saw the heartbeat at 8w before the loss - i know my chances are high for another loss. But I have two miracles so always hoping for another!

@fuzzypeaches: thank you! I plan to not google pregnancy at all, enjoy a winter vacation in Vienna with my awesome DH and just enjoy each day of this pregnancy until I get nervous for the next scan.
clementine / 787 posts
@bhbee: I know! you’ll have your appointment so I’ll be thinking of you all that day and then it will be my turn to be nervous again. I totally was freaking as I waited for the doctor to walk in - I knew it and felt the symptoms. I don’t think I breathed for 30 second when he first started looking at the ultrasound image. So sad but true.

@fuzzypeaches: I’m so excited for my son to have a sibling close in age, especially since I’m an only child, just a little nervous about having two kids when I feel like I’m just kind of starting to figure out what to do with one
@MrsJBeeG: congrats on a good scan! So cool that you live in Germany...how long have you been there? DH and I are planning a trip to Paris in March/April and might try to squeeze Germany in while we’re there.
clementine / 787 posts
@Kitkat: we’ve lived in Germany since last July. Just here for two years and then heading to the Pacific Northwest. We don’t love Germany but love the access to Europe for travel. We’ve been to a lot of places. I loved Paris. Also loved Budapest if you get a chance to go ever go there. Scotland though was my all time favorite place to visit. Just fell in love with it, the gorgeous views, the food and the people. I’d recommend Edinburgh if you get a chance too.

@MrsJBeeG: yes! We went to Scotland and Ireland two years ago when I was pregnant with DS...LOVED Edinburgh, and the highlands were gorgeous. We've also been to London, Italy, and Spain, and every time we go, we plan on going to Paris, but it always ends up getting cut out. So when we found out I was pregnant this time, we decided we absolutely had to plan a trip to just Paris, because who knows the next chance we'll get now that we're going to have two kids.

When it rains, it pours. But this is in a good way.
So yesterday I had such a good feeling after my scan. I feel content and at peace with what is happening with this pregnancy.
Then I got notified that my upcoming job (this summer) is official and it’s my dream job. The location isn’t perfect -Seattle area - because it’s really far from my family on the east coast. It’s better for DH - his business and family are much closer to a Washington. But I hear it’s a nice area to live and a new place for us.
Just was a wonderful day with two huge pieces of good news. Hoping we all keep having good days and good news on this board!!

@fuzzypeaches: do you think part of feeling sick is having #3? I can’t remember ever feeling as sick at 6w as I do this time, but I’m definitely less able to relax and take care of myself too. But UGH because last time I felt sick until about 16 weeks and that is a long way to go. How are you doing?
Oh and good luck with your scan today!!

@bhbee: I think it’s probably true, I heard it gets worse with every pregnancy? I’m also looking super bloated which I never had previously and probably is making the nausea worse too! I secretly brought out my mat leggings because I just can’t do pants right now
My US is at 130 (PT) time is going so slowly lol
@MrsJBeeG: that’s amazing!! Seattle is such an awesome place to live! I go all the time (it’s only a 2.5h drive) and so much fun stuff to do and so many young families! What kind of work do you do? When will you have to move?
clementine / 787 posts
@fuzzypeaches: I’m an attorney in the Army. Going to be a judge for the Army there. I’m super excited as I’ve hoped for this job for years. And there were only two openings I was qualified for and lots wanting it - so to get it is just amazing to me.
Admittedly I’m not looking forward to moving in the third trimester from europe. I’m thinking about nurseries today - silly at 6 weeks, I know but secided I’m purchasing everything for it and for a baby when we get to the US since we may be without our stuff for 3 months. Except for what we have sitting in Arizona that we didn’t ship to Europe due to lack of space. But I am looking forward to being in the US.

@bhbee: I hope you don’t suffer for that long of time. I admit that I get reassured by the nausea - silly but true. Mine comes and goes all day but everything I’ve read - it seems a good thing. I’m sure there are contrary stories but I definitely need reassurance that everything is going well in there this early.

@fuzzypeaches: ugh on getting worse every pregnancy! But probably true! And yes i am very thankful it’s winter so i can get away with leggings every day. I have a bunch of blousy tops so that’s my uniform now.
clementine / 950 posts
@MrsJBeeG: that is so amazing! Congratulations! What a huge accomplishment!
@bhbee: I’m glad you notice more sickness too, I have been feeling crazy haha.
Two hours left until I get to see how the pregnancy is going!! Ahh
On the fun side, my sil just told me she is due on almost the same day with her first! They have been trying for a long time I am so excited!

@fuzzypeaches: so jealous you get to see baby today! I don’t have my ultrasound till January 10 update is when you’re done!!

So I think it went ok!
The tech Didn’t really tell me anything about size at all. I saw a hb but don’t know the rate. Looked a bit slow to me? But I guess I’ll find out in Jan! I’m seeing my on Jan 9 or so
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@fuzzypeaches: a hb is great news! My ob doesn’t measure rate even at 8w, i think because early on there’s a big range of normal. Probably a lot more to see in January!!
clementine / 950 posts
Yay! My dr called me “hb not concerning” whatever tf that means. But measuring 7w1d yesterday so new due date aug 7
Both my babes were preemie (35 and 34weeks) and so he gave me a scary speech about that too which was less fun.
How is everyone feeling today?
apricot / 325 posts
@fuzzypeaches: yay! Great news! I’m feeling ok, just annoyed with work and ready for it to be Friday.
Anyone have experience with at home dopplers? A friend offered to let me borrow hers, but I’m just worried I’ll freak myself out if I can’t find a heartbeat (never got one with my first for the same reason).. I’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@fuzzypeaches: glad for a good call! I’ve been so sick lately i decided to try unisom and b6 last night. Today i remembered why i haven’t done it before - because unisom makes me feel AWFUL just in a slightly different way! i think hormone changes make me feel the worst so hoping this levels out soon and it’s not as bad.
@Kitkat: i have similar feelings about Doppler - not sure it will be a net positive but i know some people really feel comforted by them. I’ve never let myself do it before but considering it post my January appt to get myself to the feel baby moving stage.
apricot / 325 posts
@bhbee: sorry you’re feeling so sick! That sounds miserable. And yeah, I think I’m going to hold off on the doppler (for now, at least).
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
Anyone telling anyone their news over the holidays? I can’t remember. We’re traveling for a week to see my mom and my in-laws but not sure i will tell anyone. Part of me thinks it would be more fun to wait this time, until we do the nipt and know that is good (hopefully!) and know the gender. But a Christmas announcement is also super fun
apricot / 325 posts
@bhbee: we’re not. I get my fist ultrasound January 10 when I will be 10 weeks, so we’ll probably tell pretty soon after that. For my mom, I was thinking of telling her one of her Christmas presents arrived late and wrapping the ultrasound pic up for her to open. Last time we told our parents in “cute” ways and none of them got it immediately, so I think we need to be a little more obvious this time
clementine / 787 posts
@bhbee: I’m not. I really want to because I think it would be such a great surprise to our families but since I’ll only be 7 weeks - I just don’t feel comfortable telling many people. My follow up scan is 4 Jan so I think if it looks good then - I may tell my dad/stepmom and DH parents. This is the first grandchild for DH’s parents so it’s a big deal whereas my dad has 7 already. im trying to decide to FaceTime and then surprise them with an ultrasound picture or mailing them something cute.
