Guys I am so nervous about my beta tomorrow. I keep trying to tell myself that my first beta was nice and high and I have no reason to be concerned, but I'm still freaked out.

@pui: The beta game is no fun for sure. I go for my third round tomorrow and I'm waaaay calmer than last time, but still nervous. My doubling time is good but I'm on the low-average side number wise. Your betas are super high so that's great. I think the doubling time is slower when you are in that range so don't freak out if it's slower than you anticipated!

@pui: I'm sure they will be great. You've got a really dark line and good first betas. No reason to think otherwise. I still can't believe how shocked you must be!

@pui: @mrs. 64: sending you so many sticky, doubling thoughts for sky high betas!!

@T.H.O.U.: I still can hardly believe it. I never expected it!!
@mrs. 64: @T.H.O.U.: @LovelyPlum: Thank you!! I think I'll feel much better after tomorrow.

@pui: you and me both. I can't wait to get my OBs opinion on my situation. The PA at the hospital was pretty lame.

@pui: i'm sure everything will turn out ok!!!!
Sooo I've been in bed the last 2 days straight. It feels like the worst hangover ever, i really can't even stomach too much except fruit salad that we have left over from christmas, either i've got a nasty case of morning sickness or i have a stomach virus. No throwing up - just consistent nausea and a total lack of energy. if this is a symptom, i am eternally grateful, but right now, i am miserable!! I'm just so thankful that i have the next couple of days off from work!
nectarine / 2936 posts
@Kate6214: Of course! I am keeping tabs on the September board for the same reason.
@kodybear: @LovelyPlum: Thanks guys!!
@jennypenny, @aandmklover, and @mrst927: Hope your appointments go great!
@chibee: Ugh, I'm sorry! Sounds like morning sickness. Glad you have a few days to rest!

Y'all, weird question, but are your boobs growing? Mine were heavy at first and very painful the last few days, but I definitely noticed that they are already growing. I'm 5w2d and I'm worried that I won't be able to last in my current bras much longer. I'm already an F cup so I'm worried where we will go from here!

@chibee: Sounds like all-day sickness to me! I've been feeling the same. I've found that its better if I'm actually up and about when I can. Have you tried sea-bands and/or preggie pops?
@mrs. 64: I haven't noticed any growing, but I mostly wear very stretchy bras. They have seemed fuller to me though. And holy cow, F is rough!
pear / 1974 posts
@mrs. 64: mine def feel fuller and have been painful since I got my bfp! I wouldn't mind them growing a little bigger though!
@Mrs.Someone: I haven't had the energy to get up whatsoever! I'm gonna have to try those two though I am desperate. My mil just brought over some homemade soup and crackers so I was able to eat that but man this is no joke!

@mrs. 64: I was a G and back when I was pregnant in August I definitely went up a cup size in a month. They went back down a bi after my mc,, but many of my bras are still not fitting properly. My boobs are not sore like last time, but I think its totally normal. I feel your pain. I know I don't want to spend a lot of money on bras I'm going to grow out off.

@chibee: Yea, I'm getting to the desperate part too. I realized I needed to eat this afternoon, but nothing looked good except the one thing I couldn't have (PBJ). I've noticed peppermint tea helps too. And I always feel better after waking up from a good nap.
BTW, has anyone's doctor mentioned limiting peanuts? I've seen conflicting things about it. Its the one thing that DH really wants me to do though, so of course its making me crave PBJs

@Mrs.Someone: I haven't heard anything from a doctor, but my sister was saying that apparently eating peanuts and nuts helps prevent your baby from having but allergies. Not sure how true that is.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Mrs.Someone: I agree I've heard it both ways to avoid allergies. I ate them and wasn't worried and don't have an issue.
pomelo / 5228 posts
@pui: I've heard both ways. Eating some is good, eating too much makes the allergy more likely.

@mrs. 64: @Kate6214: popping in to say that my boobs are OUT. OF. CONTROL. I was a 34GG before my pregnancies, and I am at *least* a 36I now. I had a 36 HH bra that I've been using, but even that isn't feeling great. I'm going to have to cave and buy a new one soon. It's RIDIC, and they are so freakin heavy. Rumor has it that your boobs are biggest in the second tri, so hopefully mine are done growing for now. Also, I had to buy lanolin, because my nipples expanded and got so, so painful really early on. I hope that yours don't hurt so much!
nectarine / 2936 posts
@Kate6214: @LovelyPlum: I'm buying a bra extender and seeing if that will help a little. Bras in my size are so dang expensive already, I don't want to be buying a new size every month! Lovelyplum- I'm hoping you don't get any bigger for your sake lady!
eggplant / 11408 posts
@mrs. 64: I did the bra extender thing, too, and it's bought me a few weeks. I'm just kidding myself, though- I need bigger cups, not a bigger band. I'm going to cave and get measured for a good bra soon. I found this brand for $50, which is actually a decent deal for a bra in my size:
http://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-essential-embrace-nursing-bra
I'm going to get fitted next week, and we'll see what they feel like. If they don't work, I'm going to have to drop another $75 on a real bra, because these babies are dying for support.
@mrs. 64: thank you DH seems to like them, but they're so sore that I've had to institute a "look don't touch" policy, which makes no one happy
cherry / 245 posts
@LovelyPlum: This does not bode well then. I'm a 32G/H now. I got some gift cards to Nordstroms for Xmas, but I guess I'll try and hold out a little longer.
@mrs. 64:bra extenders sound like a good in between solution.
@pui: I saw articles about this recently. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/12/23/peanut-allergy-pregnancy/4144583/

Well got my blood drawn. Anxiously waiting for my results. The nurses at my RE didn't seem concerned at all which made me much calmer. They even said they were scheduling my first ultrasound and I should have that date soon!

So much has happened over the weekend!
First off, @Reese: I'm so sorry, we will surely miss you and you will be in our prayers.
@mrs. 64 @pui: Thinking about you guys today and the Beta's!
@Mrs.Someone: I hope this is just an old wive's tale! I have eaten a peanut butter bagel every morning for the past 3 years. I had one this morning! I always heard it was good to expose to peanuts? I'll have to research that. It makes me feel better that @T.H.O.U. did it and has a perfectly adorable (and allergy free) LO.
@chibee: Your post made me laugh because I thought the first thing when I started getting MS - I defaulted to a stomach virus and refused to think it could potentially be MS. Hope you are feeling better!!!
@mrs. 64: Boobs just feel like boulders - my husband has been reading "Dude You're Going to be a Dad" (gave it to him for Christmas) and he was dying laughing because the books talked about how the pregnancy boobs are just for looking, NOT touching.
Okay, I think I'm caught up now! Happy Monday everyone!
pomelo / 5228 posts
@T.H.O.U.: So glad to see your good news this morning!
@pui: Yay, great news!
@BakerBee: I think the newer studies say that exposure is good. However, the only person with a peanut allergy I know (my age) said her mom ate too many when she was pregnant. I'm sure its just anecdotal though. I think I'm going to go with moderation, best of both options.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
I guess I'm getting to hang around here a bit longer! We still have a strong heartbeat of 152 and cervix is closed tight. Hang on Baby!
@pui: Congrats! I bet you are so relieved.
@kodybear: Can you put me down for a follow up on 1/7? Thanks!

Hi Ladies!! I'm just relaxing before my appointment today. We had a rough night last night. We were over my MiL house doing laundry (washer broke right before Christmas) and my FiL was watching DS and he fell into a window ledges and banged up his eye pretty good. We ended up taking him to the ER but he had a pretty restless night of sleep which means I didn't sleep well either.
@pui: @T.H.O.U.: I am so glad you ladies had good news today!! Yay!!
I'm not really sure what to expect at my appointment today. I'm still pretty bummed the OB that delivered my son stopped delivering babies. Hopefully I'll like this new one just the same and be able to get an ultrasound soon!!

@BakerBee: i am feeling much better today, and of course that comes with OMG WHATS WRONG NOW - should be a fun week ahead until i see that bean in my ultrasound on 1/8!
@pui: i knew it would be ok!!!
@T.H.O.U.: I am so glad everything is ok!!!

@chibee: I hear you on the OMG WHATS WRONG NOW thoughts. I have the IS THERE REALLY A BABY IN THERE thoughts. I have had no pregnancy symptoms so it really doesn't feel real. Just hoping everything is going as it should in there.
I am soo looking forward to 1/8!!
