@T.H.O.U : Can't wait for tomorrow! I have no clue if we are having a boy or girl and was I wrong when I guessed last time. I'm hoping baby cooperates tomorrow and we get a clear look.

IT'S A BOY!!!! With both babies now I have had one gender dream and they both have been wrong!
Our scan went well (big sigh of relief!) and everything that they could see looks great. We need to have another ultrasound because baby was moving too much and the tech couldn't get a look at part of his heart or a profile shot.
So much to think of now! I've been in girl mode from LO#1 so it will be fun to change it up. I'm terrified of all the boy stuff we may receive, as our house is already busting at the seams with baby stuff. Most of our big purchases were gender neutral so that will make things easier.
We have always planned on two kids so this will most likely be my last pregnancy. Somewhat sad but considering how sick I have been I don't think I could do it again. It's weird to think my daughter won't have sisters (like I did), but I'm also excited for her to have a brother since I never had that experience.
Time to start thinking of names (we have no clue) and a baby boy nursery!

@Mrs. M: Congrats on your boy! I had a dream a few days ago that ours was a girl, but I've felt like it was a boy most of the pregnancy...I guess we'll see on Wed. OMG I am so impatient...

@Mrs. M: congrats!!! glad everything looked great. and it seems like we have similar thoughts on having a girl, and now a boy. how old is your daughter?

@Mrs. M: congrats!! i've become very partial to little boys because...
It's a little boy for me too! I didn't have an anatomy scan (scheduled april 1) but had to get my cervix length checked out via internal scan. then the technician took a look at the baby with an abdominal scan and she couldn't get a good look at the baby. I figured i'd just wait until the AS but when the doctor came in, he did a quick scan himself and he was able to tell clearly that it was a boy! The close-up shot of the weiner was hilarious.
DH is seriously bouncing off the walls right now because he is so happy. other than that, everything looks good and i can't believe how big he has gotten since the NT scan! I saw him swallow and open his little mouth!
i can't wait to see what everyone else is having!! this was such a memorable day for me!

@chibee: Congrats! Keep that close up shot to embarrass him when he's older

Thank you everyone!!! I already went to Baby Gap and bought some awesome clearance deals for the little guy...I guess I'm just a little excited. So weird to be looking in the boy's section.
@Jennypenny: Thank you! You are so close to finding out... I wonder if your dream will be right unlike mine! Excited for you!
@Kodybear: Glad I will have someone to relate to on this topic! I already thought about what we will do with my daughter's clothes and it made me a little sad. At the same time, I'm so excited to have both a girl and a boy! My daughter is almost 14-months. How old is your daughter?
@Chibee: What an awesome surprise! Congratulations!!! We also had a close-up of his male parts that just crack me up.

I decided not to announce to my 2nd graders (awkward) and just wait for someone to ask. Today I heard two kids having a conversation about whether or not I was pregnant. A little while later one came up and asked "Um, Mrs. 64, are you going to have a baby? Because um well your tummy is kind of big." Guess the cat is out of the bag!

What's the boy Vs girl tally up to now???

Oh man, I'm freaking out that I've done something really stupid. Between lent starting last week and DH being out of town and just not thinking, I ate a ton of mercury fish. Like 20 oz of albacore tuna over the last week, plus some salmon too! I can't believe I just plain forgot about that restriction and now I'm really worried about my mercury levels. I guess I'll avoid fish for a while now and mention it to my doctor on Wed. I just hate this feeling that I really messed up and could end up hurting my baby

@JennyPenny: I'm sure you are fine but I would take it easy!

@mrs. 64: haha that is adorable that your kids asked you!!
@mrskc: @pui: @locavore_mama: thank you so much!
@JennyPenny: I'm sure you're fine, don't stress too much about it.

I've been away for a work trip for the last week and just got all caught up here. Congrats to everybody who found out what they're having! So exciting!
My anatomy scan is March 18 and my next appointment is April 2nd.
@JennyPenny: I'm sure a short time of eating extra mercury fish won't be a big deal but I'd stay away from it for awhile and just mention it at your next appt so your doctor can reassure you. I'm sorry you're stressing about this.

Sorry i didn't tag everyone - i'm so bad at this - but thank you again. For the moms with little boys already, can i ask a stupid question? were they very affectionate and clingy with you? This sounds so stupid but i always had this notion that little girls were more free with their affections.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@chibee: I don't have a boy but my daughter was always very clingy to me. To the point where it was hurting daddy's feelings because for like the first 18 months of her life she really wanted nothing to do with daddy most of the time.
pear / 1616 posts
@JennyPenny: i think it should be fine too! esp since its one time thing. i'm sure the warnings are more for people who are constantly eating fish.
@locavore_mama: i think its 4 girls 4 boys!
@Mrs. M: my daughter is 15.5 months. i was sad about not being able to reuse her clothes too! i'm not sure what i'm going to do with it yet.. maybe give it to my sister if she has a girl. but i am excited to buy a whole new wardrobe for our boy tho! haha i'm sure my husband will lovee that.

@chibee: My little guy is such a snuggle bug and a mama's boy. He loves nothing more than to cuddle with me on the couch. I absolutely love it! Oh and now he will sometimes give me kisses when I ask for them.

Yay!! Boys are so great to their mommy's!! Congratulations!
I had my ant. Scan today. I found out I have an anterior placenta. I told the tech before my husband came in that we didn't want to know the sex so when it came time to see the baby she didn't even get close to that area. The pictures weren't very good this time so that's a bummer. She said she couldn't say anything but she did show me that I should be at 17w6d and the baby was measuring 17w3d , so a little on the small side.

Congrats to everyone finding out the gender on their LO! It makes me so excited for my scan in 2 weeks and a tiny bit jealous that my appointment isn't today

Hi Ladies! Sorry I have been MIA for quite awhile. I actually follow the page but I seem to fall back into lurker mode quite often and not post.
It is so exciting to hear what everyone is having. I can't wait to find out. @kodybear: My anatomy scan is 4/10 if you can add it to the list, Thanks!
grape / 84 posts
@beckysue: me too! I read this thread religiously, but haven't logged on since I posted all those months ago. It is hard to break the lurking habit, I guess.
Add me to the baby boy count! We haven't had the anatomy scan yet but I was gifted a groupon for a sneak peek type place so we went and found out a couple of weeks ago. We are SO excited!
Anyone still have nausea? I felt really lucky in the 1st tri and didn't really feel that bad, just a little queasy. Then from 14 weeks til now I have been miserable with nausea and throwing up every morning. Sea bands have been the only thing to even remotely take the edge off, but now they seem to be hurting my wrists and making my hands go numb. Or else I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@MrsT927: I know I so wish we were going to find out!
@beckysue: Don't worry about lurking! Thanks for checking in!
@sharpie: I hope you feel better soon. I would maybe talk to your OB!

Just catching up - so exciting that so many people already know which sex they're having! Congrats everyone!!
I had my 16w appointment this morning; heard a few kicks on the doppler which was so adorable. My anatomy scan is scheduled for 3/28, but I scheduled an elective gender ultrasound for 3/19! My in-laws are in town next weekend, so we wanted to see if we can find out the sex before they get here & surprise them while they are here. Hopefully the baby cooperates! I have absolutely no mother's intuition about whether it's a boy or girl, outside of a few dreams where it's a boy, so I know I'll be really surprised either way.
