I'm not artsy... So this is what I could do to make our gender count more visually pleasing. I can put up the calendar u made @pui too. I think it would just need to be updated but it was super cute
attaching it to the last post..

@Mrs. M: I didn't see your post earlier til now. but yes i know exactly how you feel about your daughter not having a sister!! me and my sister are 23 months apart and it would've been so fun if DD had a sister about the same age gap! and even if we do decide to have a 3rd and had a girl, they would be more like 5 years apart so it might be harder for them to be close. so that part is sad. but i am excited to have a boy. and i'm starting to remember all the not so fun things about having an older sister (bossing me around... being grouped as one unit all the time.. having her hand me downs all the time etc etc) haha so i guess there are pros and cons to each.

@Kodybear: Love the gender count! I have two sisters (one is 14-months younger and the other is 7- years younger). I have so many great memories with them both, but at the same time there was a lot of fighting with my sister who is close in age once we reached middle school. We were (and still are) referred to as "the girls" and that got old. I'm definitely getting over it and apparently that's how it goes when you stop at two kids!

@sera_87: Congrats!!
@bakerbee: Congrats again!! My tech guessed boy at my NT scan and I wonder if I will have the same surprise as you!
@kodybear: Love the tally chart!
@swurlygurl: My stomach is hard and already starting to feel a little bit uncomfortable, which terrifies me because I have a really long way to go!

@JennyPenny: yea for being the first one to reach the half way mark!!

@T.H.O.U.: Our weekend was great! Lots of progress in the baby department. DH decided he wants to do a gender reveal party, so we'll put something together for that this weekend. We also made our first trip to register at BBB. It was overwhelming at first, but I feel like we've made a good start!

@T.H.O.U.: We had a great weekend! How was yours? We got rid of a ton of stuff to make room for baby. We rent a TINY house so it is going to be tight for awhile but it doesn't look like we will be moving before baby gets here unless a miracle happens.
I may have overdone it though as I have been having some terrible back pain that radiates down into the left side of my butt. It actually started before our cleaning marathon but has gotten worse now. Hoping it passes and isn't going to stick around for the rest of my pregnancy. It is really uncomfortable.

@beckysue: That's so strange - I suddenly have back pain that started on Sunday. I hope it goes away for both of us! It gets old fast!

@BakerBee: No kidding! It is a real bummer. I have an appointment on Friday and I will definitely see if something can be done to help with the back pain if it is still around then. Let's hope not though!

aaahh!! many congratulations to all of you who are finding out what you are having!! i am anxiously waiting until the end of the month, when I can find out what my little guys are!!

@beckysue: Have you googled sciatica stretches? I really struggled with that last time and I have found that stretching seems to be really helping this time around. If nothing else, my OB did say that those heat strips for your back were low enough I could use them.

@T.H.O.U.: I haven't but I will tonight because I need to do something. Thanks for the suggestion.
@msmug: I feel your pain on wanting to know what you are having. I am due 8/23 but for some reason my anatomy scan (when I will hopefully find out) isn't until 4/10. The wait is killing me!!

Had my 16 week appointment today. Baby sounded good. Scheduled my anatomy scan for 4/15.
@beckysue: Mine isn't for a bit either. At least it's less than a month to go! I hope your pain feels better.

@beckysue: I had a herniated disc and sciatica pain before I got pregnant. Here's some unsolicited advice that my doctors and physical therapists told me: Apply ice (not heat) to the affected area. Ice seemed counterintuitive to me, but it helped with decreasing some of the swelling. Ditto @T.H.O.U. on the sciatica stretches. If you have a giant bouncy ball, there are a few stretches you can do with that. Other exercises that my PT told me were safe to do during pregnancy are planks (i do a modified plank off the edge of the bed to reduce the strain on my body but if you're in shape, you can probably do them at full horizontal on the floor), bridges (or butt lifts), and stretching. Good luck and I hope the pain goes away soon!

oh.. but I'm not a medical professional, so when in doubt, ask your doctor first. I just wanted to pass along info that helped me. But if you feel that your pain is getting worse, stop and talk to your doctor.

@Beckysue: I hope you feel better soon! I'm having a very similar issue, but on the right side. It started when I took my daughter to the zoo and carried her around most of the time (she didn't want to be in her stroller). I had this pain during my first pregnancy too, but not this early. Stretching and taking it easy (if possible) definitely helps!

@T.H.O.U.: had a busy weekend but it was good! I've been feeling little kicks daily so that has been so awesome and reassuring! How about you?
@kodybear: Love your gender tally! So cute!

Hey everyone!
Haven't been on much due to life. I finally got confirmation today that I'm approved for Medicaid. I am so so relieved. I was getting so stressed out that we would have to pay for my office visits and ultrasounds completely out of pocket.
cherry / 240 posts
Ok ladies, I need support and encouragement. My ultrasound is tomorrow afternoon and I'm freaking out. For our last pregnancy, this ultrasound was when we found out our baby's heart had stopped beating. Up to this point in this pregnancy I've somehow managed to keep my stress and worrying fairly low but all day today I've felt it building up. I need somebody to talk me down! Help!

@mrs. 64: Congrats on a good appointment yesterday and thanks for the well wishes.
@msmug: Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. I stretched last night and I am feeling a bit better today. I will keep it up and hopefully it will continue to improve.
@Mrs. M: I hope you feel better soon as well. The stretching seems to be helping me so far, yay!
@xInfinity: Best of luck to you for your appointment today. I said a prayer for you and baby.

I'm off for mine in the morning!

Ultrasound went great today! Since I'm not quite 18 weeks there were a couple measurements that the tech wants me to come back for around 21 weeks. My doctor wanted the early ultrasound due to our issues last time but this just means we get another look at baby! She told us she thinks we're having a girl but won't guarantee anything until we come back. Thanks again for the words of support everybody!
@T.H.O.U.: Yay, have fun tomorrow!

@xInfinity: so glad to hear you ultrasound went well. I have been stalking this thread since I got home to see your update.

@xInfinity: great! I can't wait! We had the same issue with DD and they wanted us to come back. Totally worth it to see babe again.
